Siren Mastery

SUPPORT IS NO LONGER OFFERED - FEEL FREE TO HELP UPDATE THE CODE

Siren Mastery is now open source. https://github.com/Albo1125/SirenMastery

Siren Mastery is a script modification that allows you to master your siren tones. Toggle to your secondary siren at the press of a key/button, silence your siren using any key/button you like and even control exactly which 'secondary' siren plays! You can be up and running with Siren Mastery within 5 minutes (installation tutorial click HERE).

Requirements - some of these are included (credits go to their appropriate authors):

  • Albo1125.Common 6.6.4.0 or higher (included)
  • RAGEPluginHook 0.51 or higher (not included)
  • NAudio 1.8.0.0 (included)
  • A legal copy of GTA V (version 1.0.1011.1 or above).

There is also a download to free up unneeded controller bindings so they can be used for Siren Mastery. Get it here.

You can find some new, customised UIs for Siren Mastery in the spoiler below:

Spoiler

Summary of current features (please check documentation carefully too):

  • Change the Siren Toggle key/button and assign it an optional modifier key/button.
  • Change the 'lights only' toggle key/button and assign it an optional modifier key/button.
    • This works even if your siren is off so you can control whether your siren should play before turning your lights on.
  • New 'Toggle Secondary Siren' key/button with an optional modifier key/button.
    • This allows you to switch to secondary sirens without having to hold down a key/button.
  • New 'Toggle Bullhorn' key/button with an optional modifier key/button.
    • This allows you to keep sounding your bullhorn without having to hold down a key/button.
    • Works simultaneously with sirens.
  • New 'Next Siren' key/button that cycles to the next siren.
    • Can optionally include the Off state as a cycle stage.
  • Your siren now stays on when you leave your vehicle and you don't mute it.
    • This can be disabled from the GeneralConfig file.
  • Determine the siren tone that should be playing.
    • You are able to select which siren tone to play, including the ability to differentiate between secondary sirens.
  • Additional Siren Modes
    • Dual Siren Mode.
    • Manual Siren Mode.
  • Additional customisable sirens per vehicle model.
    • Allows you to have up to TEN total sirens per vehicle model.
  • Fully Functional and Customisable UI.
    • Feel free to create and release your own custom UI files.
    • The size and position of the UI can be customised via the UIConfig file.
  • Customisable Siren Switching Tones (like Siren Switch Honker).
  • Sirens are fully customisable per vehicle model via an XML file.
  • All keybindings are customisable and fully customisable controller support is included.
  • The vehicles.awc size and length limits are effectively removed while using Siren Mastery, allowing for greater siren variety.
  • British Users: You can now have British Siren Switch/Toggle sounds (in other words, horns!). Simply replace the relevant files in the Plugins/SirenMastery folder with the ones included in Siren Switch Honker's download.

Support is no longer offered - what to do if you encounter a bug or have problems:

  1. Watch the installation video for my modifications here.
  2. Use this tool: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/9755-lspdfr-troubleshooter-by-albo1125/
  3. Read the documentation file if you're having trouble getting a specific feature to work.
  4. Suggestions can be made here.
  5. If all else fails: Please leave a comment (not a review). Include your RAGEPluginHook.log file, located in your Grand Theft Auto V folder. Also, please provide an accurate description of what happened.

Please do not reupload or redistribute this without my permission, rather link back to this original page. Thank you.

Has anyone seemed to figure out the AI no siren bug? I recall reading that the vehicles.awc must be 15.75 mb or smaller or else it will be muted. Both the vehicles.awc in my Mod folder as well as my back up both at 16.12mb. Have no clue as to why this is? Any suggestions?

I love this mod but it sucks not having regular sirens work.

I suggest you replace your modded vehicles.awc with the stock, and start over.

Attempted that, no success.

I then removed the vehicles.awc from the "Mod" folder, again without success.

How big is the stock one? It must have been changed if it’s over the magic limit.

It was 16.12mb. I just found albo's video for troubleshooting. I brought it down to just over 15mb. Fingers crossed.

EDIT:

So I just tested it out. I am beginning to wonder if the sirens are too quiet. I know with SirenMastery we increase the siren tones so they play louder. I was just playing and the Sheriff's cars had their sirens playing just fine, but were very very quiet.

Second Edit:

Tried altering the volume for siren mastery, no success. Just makes the sirens for SM quieter (I know that's been stated plenty of times in this post.)

Hopefully 3rd and Final:

I am using ELS. And when I follow the steps to use SM and ELS I muted all sirens from and police car but my own. My issue is fixed for now, hopefully some AI support at a later date.

Hmm odd, works fine for me on the new RPH. Can you describe the issue you're having? Are you getting errors or is it just not working?

Is there a way this could be converted to a server resource for FiveM? If it is able to that would be absolutely awesome.

Siren mastery + ELS?????? Nehhh that will be a button mapping nightmare!!!! We'll need USB siren interfaces like these.cantrol-grp[1].jpg

That would be amazing, they've got something similar for american truck simulator but it cost 300 usd. way too much money for a button box. I'm sure you can take one off the internet and wire it up so that each button functions as a controller button. I would definitely get one.

Is this working for anyone with the latest RPH and update? I received an error saying dependency check with Rage Plugin Hook failed despite that I've installed all files correctly.

Great work on this! I really appreciate the time you take to build these great plugins and to help folks that have problems!

There are 2 things I am missing after reading through all the plugin documentation and 29 pages here  :)  1 is no big deal - 2 drives me crazy

1. Siren comes on automatically when I hit ELS lightstage 3. Once I tap "<my siren mapping>" it stays off for the rest of the session and that is fine - just wondering if there is a way to mute it from the start.

2. Dual siren (siren6) shuts off when I change tones. Any way to force it to run all the time (something like the "Snd_SrnTonX" siren control in ELS?

<Sirens>
      <Siren1 SirenType="Primary">propcall</Siren1>
      <Siren2 SirenType="Secondary">ms4000yelp</Siren2>
      <Siren3 SirenType="Secondary">mchylo</Siren3>
      <Siren4 SirenType="Horn">c30horn</Siren4>
      <Siren5 SirenType="Secondary">o90hilo</Siren5>
      <Siren6 SirenType="ForcedOnly">rumblerwail</Siren6>
    </Sirens>

Any ideas?

Thanks again

So, I followed albos video and what not. Everything seems to be installed correctly and the game loads the plugin but when I get into vehicles, the UI menu doesn't appear and I cant use the sirens I added. Thoughts?

I carefully followed all instructions and watched the video when I installed this mod. However, despite this, when trying to load SirenMastery.dll, I get an error message saying: "Exception message: Could not find file 'D:\Games\Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\SirenMastery\vehicles\0x0D329446.wav.'" I looked at the siren hashtag list in GravelRoadCop's Modern Siren Pack, and found out that this is actually the primary police siren. Which is weird, because in the game I can hear it just fine.

I looked in the vehicles folder I extracted from the path the directions told me to, and sure enough, it wasn't in there. So in OpenIV, I went to x64/audio/sfx/RESIDENT.rpf (not in mods) and extracted vehicles.awc as WAV to a folder on my desktop. I looked in the vehicles folder for the file, and I didn't find it in there, either. I verified the game data (I have the R* Warehouse version of the game), extracted vehicles.awc as WAV to the folder on the desktop, and the file still wasn't in there.

Again, I carefully followed the instructions and watched the video. I really hope the only solution to this isn't a reinstall. It would be the third time that I'd have to reinstall the game due to such a small issue that has no other fix. Here's my RPH log.

Hello guys,

it´s a long time since this file was free to download. Anyway, it doesn´t work.

I installed it like you Albo1125 in the video, but every time I load the plugin, it crashes immediately.

Can you help me please?

I would appreciate your help :)5af07f4b71c2f_Screenshot(75)_LI.thumb.jpg.69993abb1d01507b5338c7563a8018e2.jpg

I'm having exactly the same issue.
IMO, referring to the file that doesn't exist indicates that the original game file is updated/modified by R* in the recent game update.
I guess we all have to be patient and wait until Albo1125 updates this mod.

When loading Siren Mastery, it's just crash right away.  But it does create the VehicleSirenSetup.XML file.
