Welcome to VocalDispatch for LSPDFR!

If you watched the video, remember that Charlie 63 is my unit number - not something you need to say to make it work. You should choose your own identifier.

DISCLAIMER: Although I am not done working on VocalDispatch, I've become extremely busy with work and will not be working on it for a while. I will offer the best support I can, but my response times will be slower.

Features:

Communicate verbally with dispatch
Accept a callout verbally
Request backup (code 2, code 3, pursuit, air unit, SWAT, ambulance, firetruck) verbally
End current callout verbally
Tow truck and transport support (via Arrest Manager)
Custom Backup and Better EMS integration
Responses to status (show me <status>) and detained/in custody reports for videos and added immersion
Varied and appropriate responses to verbal communication
Developer API for integration with third party software

To use features provided via Arrest Manager, you will need to install Arrest Manager by Albo1125, version 7.9.1.0 or higher. You can get it here:

To get the best backup and EMS functionality, please install the following two plugins.

VocalDispatch will automatically use both of these plugins, if installed.

Non-English Languages

It is possible to use VocalDispatch in other languages. You can do this by editing the {GTA V}\plugins\lspdfr\VocalDispatch\default.xml file to reflect the appropriate words in your language and changing the locale setting in {GTA V}\plugins\lspdfr\VocalDispatch.ini. If community contributors wish to translate the files and upload them for a certain language, I will add them here.

not sure if i'll get a reply, but the last two days, when i call for a plate check, it gives me a "We can not honor that request at this time" error, however i open police radio and it checks fine, when i call for prisoner transport, it gives me an "unable to do that" error, as well as tow truck, i have to force spawn a towtruck to the area. ive reinstalled vocal dispatch, ive reinstalled police radio, arrest manager, traffic policer, starting to run out of ideas of what the issue could be.

i have tried to translate this to finnish and when i put locale: fi and launch it says is correct language pack installed and my system language is finnish

it doesn't work for me, any help please im getting error place file x in folder y. done that but does not work also it says check log file. so i'll add a copy :(

Best mod out for that extra realism, If your still using W7 like me make sure you run the train your computer to understand you better which is in the control panel speech recognition tab, and set language to English US, other wise it will not understand your commands.

Would love to see this integrated with Better EMS, I am a huge fan of this mod it works great for me but the basic EMS sucks when you have better EMS installed, Is there a way you can develop it to work with better EMS?

Pretty sure it works the same. "requesting EMS", but i can give you a definite answer in a few minutes, about to install Better EMS.

also, ignore the comment above CalToxReaper's comment. i found out that vocal dispatch is touchy when you install a new mod. load in, go on-duty, exit game, then load game again usually gets it working again for me, maybe once or twice i have had to restart more than once, like two times.

I am also using Police Radio by By DCP1293 would that conflict with calling better ems?

already have that installed. i will give you a list of my mods when i give a status update. am also using ELS and installing ELS ambulance and firetruck, if my plan works i will also give full details on how to bypass the ELS bug with Better EMS.

that UseBetterEMS = true is set in the [Backup] section of the INI
file. You can then use the Ambulance entry in the backup menu to
call for EMS through Better EMS." this is by PNWParksFan. this information tells me that, by using the Custom Backup mod, you can replace the generic paramedic, firetruck, and EMS calls with the Better EMS selections. just wanted to give you this info before i start the game for compatibility testing.

The answer to that is in the BetterEMS comments:

If you set the AI ELS control distance in your ELS.ini file to a very large value (10000 or so), then ELS vehicles should work with Better EMS.

didnt check the comments, however in the mod description it did say that by increasing the distance in ELS you could bypass that glitch. thanks for the info though!

@CalToxReaper there is a setting in the custombackuplocations.ini file, make sure you change it to this OverrideLSPDFRBackup=true

@uscf22 for sure I will have to look at that and see if its set I tried loading it in and it told me to load in failed XML xD I think it's because I have Realistic dispatch mod and need to rebuild it xD

changed that setting testing now maybe no need to rebuild RD

if you set that to true you'll get overlapping menus. Better off leaving it as false and rebinding "point at" in GTA5 to something else (that's the B key). Then set Custom Backup to B.

@uscf22 ok I am using the Realism Dispatch Enhanced Builder to see if it will set it up to work out with each other on its own get me? because the XML keep failing to load..

We should probably be commenting on Custom Backup instead of this thread lol, but I think the OverrideLSPDFRBackup is more intended for people who use controllers (they aren't pressing B).

i am using a controller, but the original point of this conversation is to try to get better EMS to work with Vocal Dispatch.

to be honest, there really isnt a 100% proper place to put this conversation, because i have a lot of plugins, so i am also reporting my status on the compatibility with all of the plugins i currently have installed.

This isn't going to work with BetterEMS until the developer of Vocal Dispatch adds that functionality.
