About This File

Techengage's Reshade Presets v.0.9 (FOR RESHADE V.3.0+)

IF YOU CAN PROVIDE HD SCREENSHOTS TO SHOW THE TRUE BEAUTY OF THESE PRESETS, PLEASE PM ME!

These are the customized presets I use in my game with Reshade v.3.0.6
Rip the Hell out of my presets, if you want, but PLEASE GIVE CREDITS IF YOU RE-UPLOAD. You don't need to ask; just credit properly.

I RECOMMEND USING THE FOLLOWING SHADERS ONLY (SHIFT+F2 IN-GAME TO OPEN UI MENU).

I have not changed the settings on ANY OTHER SHADER YET, SO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ONLY USING THE SHADERS PROVIDED IN THE LIST BELOW.

  • Clarity
  • Colorfulness
  • Curves
  • Levels
  • LumaSharpen
  • Tonemap
  • Vibrance

Installation:

  • Download Reshade v.3.0 here: http://reshade.me/
  • Complete the setup and allow the application to automatically download the preset shaders.
  • After everything is done, simply replace the files within your GTAV/reshade-shaders directory. I purposely deleted a few, so don't worry about that.
  • Place grand.ini in your main GTA5 directory and you're good to go.

What's New in Version v.0.9

Released

Changes to v.0.9

  • Added grand.ini preset to make installation easier
  • Added new screenshots

Changes to v.0.8

  • Removed HDR & Adaptivesharpen. They provided a far less realistic look
  • HUGE changes to every shader. I highly recommend using with Visual V. It's stunning!

Holy moly those colors are way too oversaturated for me. Just the screenshots hurt my eyes =/

New version is out. I made a crap ton of changes. Any assistance is definitely appreciated!

Any FPS lose?

Not a single drop. If you notice anything at all, it may be an improper installation. Make sure to remove any other graphics mods you may have been using, such as ENB. If you are using Reshade or SweetFX, the new version of Reshade will automatically overwrite them. I simply took the provided presets and tuned them to look realistic/vibrant, because they look horrible without tuning.

Sounds good. But i use Darker Nights FX. Is it compatible?

Will this work with GTA5_REDUX?

I have no idea. I don't use Redux. Do me a favor and see if it does, then give me an answer?

If it is a .fx shader, try it out. Simply add it to the reshader-shaders and load it with the in-game gui. The compiler on the top left during the opening screen should let you know if it doesn't load properly. There is also a error log you can look at.

But I believe Darker Nights FX is part of Sweet FX, so it might be overwritten. I recommend using my Custom Visuals mod with this. I have almost perfectly realistic nights now.

Okay. Because realistic dark nights is a must have for me.

I hear you with that, haha. I hate being able to see everything perfectly at night like vanilla.

I really want to try this out further, but reshade causes some issues. Using it and launching the game with ragehook causes some weird glitches at times and some crashes of lspdfr. Deleting the native trainer from scripthook helped somewhat, but some issues (like callouts not starting and lspdfr crashing) persist.

The visual results are breathtaking in some light and weather conditions, but look a little meh in others. Your presets are a good start and look ok overall but for me they are just too colorful in general and the sharpening could be tuned down just a little. Looking forward to further updates

Either your computer cannot handle the extra graphics algorithms or it wasn't installed correctly.

All issues involved in Reshade beyond the installation of the presets should be reported to Crosire at www.Reshade.me, whom is the creator of Reshade.

I read that some issues can be caused by Trainers. I removed the native Trainer and lspdfr became more stable, yet it still crashes after a while while using simple trainer.

I'm running the Game with a 970, 8 gigs of ram and on ssd, so I doubt it's the pc. Installation was pretty straightforward too and I can't see what could have gone wrong with that.
