LSPDFR Update Checker (update checker, mod manager, log cleaner and more!) 0.6.3.0

(30 reviews)

6 Screenshots

Are you too lazy to check if one of your plugins needs to be updated? The LSPDFR Update Checker checks if there are any updates available. If so, the program will notify you and send you to the download page.

Thanks for the 30.000 downloads!

Features
-----------------------

- Check for plugin updates
- Enable or Disable your mods
- A tool to clean up all the logs
- Launch GTA or RPH directly from this tool
- Block / Unblock GTA 5 updates
- Manage GTA 5 Launch Options

Requirements
-----------------------

- Windows 7 or higher
- .NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher
- A legal copy of GTA V

Installation
-----------------------

1. Unzip the .zip file and drop the files anywhere you want.
2. Go to the "LSPDFR update checker" folder and open "LSPDFR_Update_Checker.exe"
3. Enjoy 🙂

Known Issues
-----------------------

- Sometimes the plugins folder doesn't move to the disabled folder. (Windows seems to block it so I can't fix this)
- The program can fail with enable or disable mods or even load the mods. (Try to run the program as Administrator)

Note!
-----------------------

- This program does not automatically update / download your plugins! You need to download and update them yourself.
- If the program says 'Not Supported' that means that the program is not supported with this plugin!

Everything says it's unknown. GTA is updated, as is RPH and of course LSPDFR. I've had this issue in the past and could never figure out why, then it just randomly started working again and now it's back to being broken. I've tried running as admin, nothing changes. In fact I think it runs itself on admin all the time. Using version 0.6.2.1

This is being flagged as having a trojan in it for me.

What AV are you using?

Windows Defender.

Your virus scan that you posted is also showing up as a Trojan

Yep, 0.6.2.2, just tried to redownload but it was flagged again.

I see why, the zip itself is getting flagged as virus.
I will reupload it and it should be fixed.

@Justin991q  Still use this App Religiously,  Any chance there will be an update coming to make it check the slew of newly released plugins for 0.4.1? It seems to be having a communication issue with LCPDFR.com and I don't know how to tell if its the app or my internet  Also is there a way to fix the false positive update alert for scripthook.  The file it's checking on gtavmods has a bogus version number somehow and it always thinks there is an update.

Sorry for my late answer, I'm not that active anymore in the GTA community, however I will look into this, and see if I can fix the issue.

Hi, this does not check any of the plugins for updates. It does display the plugins in a list, and displays their version, which is helpful, but doesn't fetch any updated versions. I understand this hasn't been updated in a while so I'm not annoyed about it, but could you fix or give the source to the program? Thank you 🙂

Author, can you post your source? I believe I know the error from the logs.

You need to add more supported protocols with this:

ServicePointManager.SecurityProtocol = SecurityProtocolType.Ssl3 | SecurityProtocolType.Tls | SecurityProtocolType.Tls11 | SecurityProtocolType.Tls12;

If you are using C# please make a p12 file using the commands from github
https://github.com/visa/SampleCode/tree/master/vdp-c-sharp#usage

The problem could be that you have made a wrong p12 certificate.

This mod worked great for a very long time and all features other than syncing with the website still work great.  I’m quite certain that the author didn’t make a wrong P12 certificate... if anything this issue was inadvertently created by Lspdfr staff doing website upgrades and changes.

The author has already clearly stated he is not much active in the GTA community anymore but would look into the error in his spare time to see if it was fixable which I appreciate.   However if he doesn’t get the chance to or can’t fix it someone may have to make their own version of it if they know how. I for one don’t have that ability.

The author is choosing to query their own server instead of ours, so it's not an issue on our end. We have an API for checking versions of files on LCPDFR.com and nobody has informed me of any issues with it.

I just published a new update, which fixes those issues.

The issue was indeed at my side because the domain moved from TLS 1.0 to TLS 1.1

Yayy, Thanks  Justin for the update.  Were you also able to redirect where scripthook checks for it’s update. That constant false positive was the only annoying part of this app.

It still uses the gta5-mods site, but the false positive is fixed.
