left click your gtav.exe, gta5launcher.exe or playgtav.exe, I think for retail/social club and click properties, then details tab, what is the product version is you exe? what is the file version? should be 1.0.918.1 with the newest update

1.0.877.1 idk why,got random social club update last night but the version hasnt changed.And yea crashes are gone after deleting mods folder and putting less stuff in.

Like I asked you in PM, can you provide me the log file?
The log file is called : LSPDFR_Update_Checker.log
You can find this log file in the same directory as LSPDFR_Update_Checker.exe

This program does not automatically update plugins or GTA, this program only notify you about new updates. You have to do updates by yourself.

I think Rockstar only messed with GTA Online with the creator update and didnt do anything with story mode as perhaps they are planning something with Christmas coming up in 3 weeks...  I still dont know if they broke the story mode mods though..

Some people says GTA works fine after the GTA update and some don't.
I think the Christmas update will mess up your Mods but not sure yet :D

well if new clothes/weapons/vehicles/props come in a Christmas update, it will break mods, no doubt about it.

Your GTA should automatically update when you launch GTA.

Mine is the Steam version and its the same thing as others. No updates to this 1.0918 version. Ive tried verifying files to see if it would force a messed up update, but nothing. I get no crashes at all, just the update manager saying I should update. Its very strange. Could the version update be RETAIL only?

delete the gtavlauncher.exe and gta5.exe then verify cache to get them to redownload.....  the gta5.exe version should still be 1.0877.1, as the update was just for online, and nothing having to do with storymode aspect like cars or weapons, the launcher (which is more related to online, I think) should be the 1.0918.1

once redownloaded from steam, right click on both and click details and you (should) will see the version number.... this is why I think update checker is saying update, but we cant because Rockstar hasnt updated the game to the new version of the launcher... Everyone expects that come end of December with the import/export update:

Nailed it!!   My Launcher is indeed already version 918 and the gtaV.exe is 1.0877. So I think this is where the confusion may be happening. The updater is saying gtav.exe needs an update to 1.0918 which now I am thinking may not exist.

@Justin991q hey I was having the opposite problem from the guy above. It seems pretty hit and miss with a lot of the plugins you say it supports. Right now I am looking and I see Agency Callouts, Search Warrant, among others say they are up to date, even though the file version I have is actually NEWER than the 'newest version' listed right beside it. Could we get an update for this? Is it an issue with the plugins themselves? Would be nice.

Hi, I'm currently on vacation. I will look into it once i'm back.
