it is, after you shade smooth in the bottom right go to "object data properties" then from there into "normals" and tick the auto smooth box. From there, just use the ° and up it until you can't see the hard edges anymore.

Great start if this is your first 3D Model. Most people can't even comprehend how to make a box in blender or other programs, so you're doing better than most. I would personally add some more loops in around the edges that way the box is much smoother, and it doesn't show such a hard edge (It's called a loop in 3DS Max which is the program I model in, it's likely something different if you're using blender or another program). If you haven't done so for this, I would also begin to create your own LODs since they are crucial for the game and assets to function properly. L0 being the highest poly model, L1 being slightly lower and less detail since it's further away and so on and so forth.
There are lots of tutorials available for both 3D Modeling, as well as creating assets for GTA itself. Keep practicing and learning, when it comes to 3D Modeling you'll continuously learn new things, try different methods, etc. The sky is the limit here so keep up the work and grow. Yeah i know how to do LOD's i only use L0 but if people really want different levels of detail they can do it themselves, cuz i dont use em.
