I am fully aware of that. The only thing Steam does is to launch the "LaunchGTAIV" executable. Setting both of the executables to run as administrator may solve the issue. Btw, Steam and LCPDFR go well together. I know several people who uses it without any issues :)

Hello. Are you launching the game as administrator? Running the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.

Then you will have to reinstall the game.

You use the backups you made previous to installing the mods.

I never save while playing GTA IV. You could try removing your saves and starting the game and see if that solves your issue. The save files are located in 2 different places. To play multiplayer you need a legal and up to date version of GTA IV. Start up the game and open your in-game cellphone, highlight and select multiplayer. You do this all from your single player game. When you are in the multiplayer lobby, you can choose to host or join a game. Be warned that using mods in a public GTA IV multiplayer game may be frowned upon and should be avoided. I recommend you to use >this thread if you want to play with mods online. That's not what I meant, you should continue from a clean save where you used no mods. That's what I do to reduce crashes. I never save my game. Easiest way to get a clean save is to start a new game and then save. Then you just continue from this game, without ever saving. EDIT: I know that some people are having issues with steam launching the game, so just use the exe instead.

Hello. The out of memory error is normal and can be ignored. It will not cause any issues with your system or game. I'm not sure what you mean with "officer won't save", can you expand upon that? You're not supposed to save while on duty, and progress while playing as a officer won't save either.

I think PCG sums it up, You'd think that at some point during that process, somebody on the team would have raised their hand and said "hey guys, how about we call it 'Smashy Smashy Bang Vroom'?" It's still called Next Car Game. If you buy it, it will be available through your Steam Library, where it will still be called Next Car Game. Is it really so hard to come up with a video game name? How about Metal Mayhem: Origins, or Super Scrapes: Awakening, or, if they'd rather go for a celebrity licence, Tony Hawk's Reckless Roadside Endangerment? I know he's more closely associated with skating, but he's not done a game in a while, so he'd probably be up for it. Anyway, a new car game... I'll see when it's finished.

Which version of LCPDFR are you using?

Legal copy of the game? Running the game as administrator? Latest patch? What other mods are you using? What operating system are you using (Windows XP is NOT supported)?
