Please do the following: Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder. Just like you would with Windows 7. There might be the compability issues with the game itself, which is something you will have to ask customer support for (from where you bought the game). Other than that, it should be just the same.

You are using both xlive and dsound, please remove one of them.

I would never want a criminal, either current or past, to "protect and serve" for reasons stated above. Pretty much only adults can be convicted felons, and as an adult you have responsibility over yourself. If something goes wrong, you can only blame yourself. I don't really care what your friend did to be a felon, but it cannot be a good thing and it certainly isn't something that I'd want to see in an officer of the law.

You don't seem to understand what I am saying: If you remove the third-party mod (the uniform mod) I think it will work, because I think the third-party uniform mod is causing the problem. Can you please remove it, and try to start the game again? No, that would probably be fine. Your issue is related to the third party uniform mod that you should remove and the mod should work.

Um, well in your first post you said you are using a state trooper pack? And yes, using other scripts might interfere too. But I think this has to do with you using the state trooper mod. Or are you? I'm confused.
