What exactly does blaming Islam accomplish, other than marginalizing an entire population of people, other than marginalizing an entire population? What does forcing millions of innocent people to live in war-torn Syria accomplish, other than create more terrorists? What does bombing them do, other than destroy their infastructiure and kill their families, which obviously would lead to their hatred of us and their inevitable radicalization?

You have been MASSIVELY mislead if you think its "even". At this point, I don't want to argue with you, I want to help you lol. And I agree overall that we shouldn't freak out, which is why the protests I went to were largely about love and solidarity with minorities groups attacked by Trump. Trump has been a lifelong loser. He achieves great success and bungles it nearly every time. If his record is correct, he'll bungle his presidency and either get nothing done or get himself impeached. But on the other hand there's a chance he'll send us to war with Iran, which is a HUGE issue.

One at THAT rally. And "trump supporter arrested at protest" is a lot less interesting of a story than "protest is happening". Corporate journalism 101 Not remotely true. You would only come to that conclusion if you only frequent right-wing news. If you read actual news, you would be drowning in stories of assaults at Trump rallies, Trump-inspired hate crimes, and warnings from civil rights organizations warning of an uptick in attacks. You're wrong. I've attended three massive protests in Philadelphia, with thousands of people each. No violence. The only person arrested was a trump supporter that attacked someone. Did you just go to some right wing website and read a headline about someone burning the flag, then come tell me that they're mostly violent? I'm done talking to you. You don't know what you're talking about.

Oh boohoo. Trump told his supporters to riot if he lost, and that he would only lose if it was rigged against him. He supported the idea that "2nd Amendment people" should shoot and kill Hillary if she won. We're not protesting because we think it was rigged, we're protesting an undemocratic election system that allowed the most unpopular candidate in history to become President. I don't give a flying fuck about how impolite liberal protesters are. And the vast majority of protests have been peaceful. But once again, nobody cares. And I'm not a Hillary supporter, mind you. I despised her almost as much as Trump.

He's on track to be the most unpopular president to EVER be elected. His approval rating is predicted to be somewhere around 20%. He lost the election by over half a million votes, but still is allowed into office due to an outdated electoral college system that has now given the presidency to TWO incompetent Republicans. Without being organized, thousands of Americans in every major city in the country have taken to the streets in protest. If you think America is going to roll over, I'm sorry, but you're going to be greatly disappointed. You might not think that he's "not bad", and that's an opinion you can have. But don't act like its a fact, because it most certainly is not.

I could rant until my heart gives out, so I'll just say this: If you're a Trump supporter, you're in the minority of Americans. That is a statistical fact. The electoral college allowed the most unpopular presidential candidate in the history of American politics to become the president. It allowed the views shared by the minority of Americans to overpower the majority. That is an undemocratic system, and is contrary to the very ideals the nation was founded on.
