It's getting annoying when chases are constantly ending usually these 2 ways. 1. Suspect crashes into a traffic car and flies out of his car trought the windshield. 2. Suspects car catches to fire and explodes. (Ususally ends up blowing up backup units and several traffic cars).

Delete your savegame. Savegames are located at My Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA IV/savegames.

You might have corrupted savegame.

Sometimes it works for me when you go to an mission off duty, then after the cut scene go on-duty. But, it's still not suggested to play missions with LCPD: FR.

That is your problem. The vehicles.img is too big and it takes lots of virtual memory to spawn them ELS police cars around. So instead game spaws taxis and police cars because they are important to the game. Something like that i heard in one forum. So delete your vehicles.img and re-download it if your using steam. If you're not using steam, i guess you should reinstall the game.

I'm not sure if this issue is related to LCPD FR, but it might be. There is this office building at alonquin wich is used in one GTA IV mission (Final Interview). Next to that building is a street where some police officers and security guards spawn out of nowhere! Some of them dies and some stay alive. Those ones who stay alive just run inside the office building. Some of those officers are also holding M4 assault rifles! Could it be an issue with LCPD FR?

Yes it is playable but it might crash a lot. There is some other issues with the multiplayer for what i've seen too. Funny thing i have noted: In multiplayer, you can "arrest" other players by pressing Alt+H when your next to them. (Not the gunpoint one).
