It could be a number of things causing it. Incorrect dummy setup, wrong materials, etc. Can you post some screenshots of your hierarchy and materials?

Using the "Separated" selection tool while in Polygonal mode would probably be the most efficient. Just be aware that a lot of models may not have anything under/behind the rear seats, leaving an open hole.

As far as I am aware, the entire rear seating area is removed.

That still doesn't really answer my questions but whatever. Although I didn't understand a word of it, the video gave me a good enough idea as to what was going on so based on that I'll give it a 7. I don't particularly like K-pop and it's certainly not something I'd listen to regularly but the video was well made and the lead singer had a nice voice.
