  1. I'd suggest to never use Rockstar's default textures. I agree with Sharp, use more variety with fonts, shapes, badges, ect.
  2. Rockstar has in no way confirmed that it will be released, they practically don't acknowledge it's existence. I wouldn't get your hopes up too high, for all we know, it could just be another RDR situation.
  3. If I, myself personally, had spent 350 USD on a model to be put in GTA IV, I sure as hell would not be releasing it publicly. It's all dependent on which retailer the model is purchased from, so for example some companies just choose not to have their models be released in any format, locked on unlocked, to others publicly. Another thing to keep in mind, again if I myself had purchased a model for that price, why release that hard work and money out to the public when it can be ripped by someone and stolen so easily? So now, all that money I've spent, is gone to waste because someone wanted the model unlocked. I encourage those who spend 100s of USD on 3D models to not release them to the public. Refer to my reasons above for explanation. Of course, if the company that sold the model permits it for release, that person whom may have spent 100s on a model is ultimately the one who decides whether or not the public deserves it. Essentially, it's all about the company allowing you to release it and whether or not you trust others in the mod community to keep the model in it's original form by not ripping and redistributing it.

  5. Alright, well try using Internet Explorer or, if you've already installed it, use Firefox.
  6. This is probably just a browser issue. What browser did you use to originally download it? Have you tried any other web browsers?
  7. Nobody is forcing you to use vehicle mods. If you're having texture loss with the current ones you're using, try installing some non-ELS ones, I suggest using Lt.Caines mapped default models. Another thing, I've noticed most, if not all, scripts won't be compatible with 1.0, in my experience. It's sucks, but 1.0 has a plentiful amount of features that I think makes up for lack of script compatibility.
  8. KevinDV made some of the most amazing SAPS mods, so I would suggest looking around on GTA4Mods for his work. I know he did make 2012 Hilux model, I don't know what year it was. I also don't know if he made any BMWs, but I'm sure you will be able to find one that suits your needs.
  9. Now that the modding API is here, I'm sure this could be made possible. Try making this request in LukeD's >thread, as he is actually taking suggestions for new LCPD:FR callouts. I'm sure he'll consider this one.
  10. I was never holding the fact of you not knowing who Gucci Mane was against you. I was clearly stating that people don't like it when others go around wanting ripped models. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you can't win them all. We just have to make due with what there is available. There's no reason we can't get along with the nice models we have now.
  11. Just let it go. Don't get worked up about it, Gucci was banned for a good reason and if his files aren't available, so be it. Also, for this particular case, I wouldn't go around asking for his models, considering he was a known ripper. People generally frown upon those who support any sort of activity that involves taking someone else's hard work and destroying it by unlocking it and redistributing it without even the original author's permission.
  12. I'm going to call bullshit on this now. That picture you posted, OP, is over seven years old. Don't believe me? Here's the news article with, you guessed it, The exact same picture: Also, here' the website it came from, hit Ctrl+F and search for "MUSSEY AVE HOUSE FIRE". Why are you trying to boot your post count by giving false stories? By all means, prove me wrong by providing a current news article from your town or city's website showing me that this house fire actually happened recently.
  13. Once you've installed it, press alt+p at the same time. Then go to the police stations that should be marked on the map.
  14. Is that a problem gets solved? You just ignore it and pretend it goes away? The random section is not an excuse to post bullshit. Like I've already stated, this is the kind insignificant thing you'd come across while browsing Facebook or Twitter, not a policing forum. I'm sick of the fact that these kind of threads are still being prevalent. Want examples? >Here & >here. Why is it when you visit the random section, you don't find questions about police vehicles or policining tactics, rather instead you come across these threads?
  15. How would this be somehow connected to emergency services? I would've not said a single thing had this thread been about, "Hey this house burned down near me and I got a lot of cool pictures of the fire and police department vehicles that responded". But no. This thread was created with the intent to inform of a fire that occurred near him, not to speak of the FD's hard work on taking care of the emergency. That's why I don't this as a relevant and, even if it's in the random section, it doesn't need to be talked about. As said above, houses burn down on a daily bases and if you were to compare this simple thing to the kind of stuff that happened in Kenya, it's almost nothing significant.
  16. You can't just pick up scratch modeling in a day. It will take a lot of time & effort. Also, you can't just scratch make large fire apparatuses, such as the one you think, with ease. Again, to make large things like that with precision and detail, it will take a lot of time and learning. The best thing for you to do is to just use what you have for right now. There are definitely plenty of nice and detailed fire trucks out there for GTA IV.
  17. It's probably never going to be done. That's the reality of modding.
