  1. Cost was a huge influence. But the main reason is when PDs decided that they needed to change their attitude to community policing, the B&W liveries went with it. That was when police could beat you with knightsticks and nothing would happen. They realized society was scared of police so they changed to community policing, and decided B&W cars still had that fear effect, which is why they went all white with "comforting" designs; psychologically, it's more comforting to society than B&W. Well now they're too "soft" and most of society doesn't even respect them, so they're trying to instill that fear slightly again by changing back to B&W. I'd rather go back to the days when police could shoot a fleeing felon, or beat you if you run from them.
  2. It should be the guilty's choice to choose. Courts will usually let you choose, although doubtful of guillotine. If I'm correct, recently a man requested firing squad and they allowed it. If I'm gonna die, let me choose.
  3. Shit, I didn't know "Super agg. sexual assault" was a real charge in TX. Fuckin' GO TEXAS! Although I say send him to ADX Florence with 23 hour lockdown. Just barely a step above G'tmo. That's more punishment than death. Death by insanity is the best way to deal with him.
  4. Who the hell wants to get into a nuclear war?!?
  5. This sounds awfully similar to the United States... Europe, don't take notes from the US, we're a prime example of pussyfooting around the issue.
  6. Christ, I'm tired of hearing about this shit, whether it's in the gaming industry (Yes, fuck you GamerGate), or to fApples diversity reports. AA needs to go, and go now. The most qualified should get the job, regardless of sex, age,or race. And on a side tirade, women should not have double standards when it comes to jobs. If you believe you should have as equal an opportunity as men, then start applying to work in coal mines, oil drilling, steel working, welding, automotive, etc. I have much more respect for women that work in those industries than the ones who ONLY apply for cushy office jobs.
  7. Exactly. I agree that gun control is needed, but to limit severely or take away guns, is crossing the line in my opinion.
  8. I see where you're coming from. To me, back in the 18th century, we had militia from each state (Rhode Island, New York, Philadelphia, etc) that were still officially a part of the Continental Army. They received pay and were treated as such by Washington and his generals. Today, we have the same thing, albeit more modernized and uniform. Each state maintains there own militia (National Guard) who live a normal, civilian life. They report to the U.S. Army (As the state militias did to the Continental Army), but are also under the direct command of their state government (Just as the state militias were). From how I remember history: Regulars (Line infantry of the Continental Army) Militia (Official supplement to the Continental Army and were tasked with defending their respective states and reinforcing where needed) Minute men (Not officially sanctioned by the Continental Congress, but defended their homes and towns from the British. But still remained out of the war; acted in self defense) But there are many open interpretations to our BoRs depending on which side of the spectrum you're on.
  9. There will be a lot more deaths to come in the future due to the death threats issued by ISIS, and are responsible for a lot of the deaths occurring. Hell, they're telling us not to wear our uniforms off duty since Soldiers/LEs or anyone in uniform is being targeted.
  10. If we're going to talk about training being a factor, then the same thing applies to Driver's licenses. There are more deaths related to MVAs over firearms. Just because you have a DL, doesn't mean you have the proper skills, training, and know how, on how to operate a motor vehicle.
  11. Well for starters, if you're going to shout and support the 2nd amendment, then I hope you know that it was meant for states to maintain a milita (our Nat'l guard now). However, I support and also encourage every citizen to own a firearm. Gun control doesn't mean shit; if a criminal wants a gun, he's going to get a gun. But we don't need to own m240's .50 BMG, mini-guns, or the various explosives (FPSRussia is a prime example of what our country SHOULD NOT BE). Personally, I own 5 guns (3 hand guns, .30-06 rifle, and a shotgun). Guns are a part of our tradition, heritage, and culture. We've depended on guns for survival since our inception, and no they're a favorite pastime and hobby. And yes, blame the US for the recent trend of gun crimes and how they're finding their way into the hands of criminals. Operation Fast & Furious was giant fuck up of a job by our gov't. We still are experiencing the affects of that cluster-fuck.
  12. These are the two extremes we live in. In the US, officers would have blasted him down if they suspected he had a knife. In other countries, these type of situations occur. You're criticized for being too aggressive and trigger-happy, or you criticized for not having proper training and preparedness. There is no happy medium.
  13. Didn't they change the payment option. I checked recently and I Thought they switched to subscription based service. Personally I rarely pick up a virus (common sense required) usually I just pick up adware which I just run the scan manually.
  14. Malwarebytes. Paying really only gives you real time protection. The free version will let you full scan whenever you want and update the DB. Unless that's changed, recently.
  15. All the Gay eastereggs. And the "Please disperse, NOW!". Or better yet, I remember the cheat code to unlock the the Apache, and shoot random, 3 pixel people. :D Fun times!
  16. 'Ya don't say??!? But it's not as bad as it was. They used to be racist as hell and sexist as hell. They could touch you and hit you.... Suicide rates went skyrocketing in basic training in like 60-mid90s. They've toned back. On a side note, everyone thinks you're gonna get verbally bitch slapped when you join. It'd untrue unless it'd the Marines (they want to break you down to caveman level). All the armed services you're only getting yelled at if you fuck up. You'll only fuck up the first 2 weeks. I never once got yelled at, I swear. I just never fucked up and bitched and complained.
  17. Actually, yelling doesn't work in any scenario. If anyone has seen Full Metal Jacket, you'll understand. That's why the military has abandon 24/7 yelling/degrading/racism/sexism. If society payed attention to discoveries made in psychology, we'd be better off. Instead we resort to neanderthal tactics. As somebody said above, discipline is not the only thing going on here. The kid probably had mental issues.
  18. Those videos are proof of sexual harassment... And nobody pressed charges on him for those videos. Nobody cryed foul. Those videos are irrelevant. Somebody reported a rape. The DA HAS NOT filed charges against him. Justice has to run its course. You can't crucify him because you don't like him.
  19. If you're referring to the prank vids, nobody pressed charges from that as wrong as it was. And because he touched girls butts, that means he's raped people? I don't follow that logic at all....
  20. Well justice can only be taken if he's guilty. Do you know that he's guilty? And I only saw and incident report was files. The DA/state has not pressed charges against him.
  21. Agree with Yard1. Which is why I agree that this topic shouldn't have been posted... He's not been proven guilty nor has he even been charged. If this topic is about "rape" Then Sam Pepper shouldn't have even been brought up.
  22. It's hard because it's usually a case of "He said, She said". Usually the victim washes evidence off after a rape (out of shame and guilt), and unless there's eye witness testimony or a video recording, providing the burden of proof needed is near impossible. And was this thread created with the intent to just bash Sam Peppers, or is this about pepper spray? Or about rape?
  23. That's my whole problem with how we're handling them. ISIS controls a lot of the villages and towns, which means they control the education and resource flow. The children are being brainwashed at an early age. Adults are forced to fight just do they're families will be safe in the towns. Radical Islam will become just Islam if more and more people are being brainwashed. These air strikes aren't doing crap. These villages and towns will keep churning out fighter after fighter. This is a topic for a completely different thread, however.
  24. There are a lot of people that support ISIL and what they are doing. It's a sad truth.
