It's time for me to leave LCPDFR...
I have to agree with you about this... Even in the short time I've been active on here, I've seen some massive changes and a downward trending... I enjoyed your posts and contributions.

Regarding Profile Lists
I figure I'll catch a ton of flak for saying this, if not warned and/or banned, but this site has no real direction. As somebody has already said, so many things have happened and caused the staff to take completely different stances. This has caused many moderators to tolerate some things, and driven others on a crusade against them. There needs to be some authoritative (or even more authoritative if there even is one) voice to make it clear what WILL and WILL NOT be tolerated on these forums, instead of every 4 months some random staff/team member addressing "issues". It seems there is no real "leadership" among the team (sorry if I just hurt whomever the leader is, just giving you honest criticism) If you haven't noticed, I shy away from topics related specifically to mods and releases, due to the baby politics surrounding them. Also, a purely personal note, I think profile lists are nothing but kissing ass to members (I'm not trying to start a fight or call anyone out). It's why I don't have lists and never will. I like and respect everyone here equally, until you give me a reason not to. And directly to the topic at hand, I think this issue is quite sad and something that shouldn't have to be said. If you can't handle criticism, then you're probably not mature enough to be on this site. Unless someone is posting racial or prejudiced slurs about members, there is nothing wrong with a negative list. In fact, they could, in a way, be used to help better the site petition-wise.

ISIS influencing attacks on US Soil?
Every other news outlet covered this story. In fact, I believe USA today said he created a Facebook page dedicated to the Muslim faith. Besides he also has tattoos on his arm that says "alaikum salam".

ISIS influencing attacks on US Soil?
http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/26/us/oklahoma-beheading/ A man, who many said tried to convert people to Islam was shot after beheading a woman, and stabbing a second. Makes you wonder if the recent execution videos "inspired" this act. Not to mention the supposed subway attacks planned by ISIS.

Why are most people in GTA V assholes
It's just going to happen. It's a PVP openworld game. I'm one of those assholes. Albeit, I was one of the original people to exploit the shit out of their game in the early stages. I have no desire to "grind" in missions or races. I get more excitement out of trolling the hell out of everyone. Bati RR + sticky bombs= limitless fun for me. I still have a lifetime of cash I'm living off of from the exploits. I feel like a geeky, less testosterone-filled Vin Diesel from FF. Although I rarely play it if every 3 months.

A good book on the metric system?
If you're a 'Murican than screw the metric system! Imperial is the system of winners!

SC trooper charged in shooting of man reaching for license in his car
I blame psych who examined him. Trooper was involved in a high speed chase and shooting like a couple weeks before. I'd be willing to bet it was some sort of PTSD.

Work ethic and intelligence?
Well both are driven by the will of a person. If you truly want a computer science job and education then your intelligence is high and chances are, your work ethic is high. On the other had, if you stick me in a cubicle as an accountant, I can guarantee my work ethic is shit, regardless of education. They're both driven by YOU. it's what makes us uniquely human. "If you enjoy what you do, you've never worked a day in your life." A lot of truth to that. If you want something bad enough, education will come eventually, as well as work ethic.

White House question
"... that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." ~taken from the oath of enlistment. In an indirect way, if the white house were under mass assault and lost the initial defense I'm 99% sure that the President would say "help us". And if he didn't, then some random ass officer in some service somewhere, would say to do it. And you could argue the Marines protect the president since they're already station in and around the white house. Although their official primary duty is to protect only the White House. Secondary duty is safety and security of all inside.

Any of you guys majoring in law enforcement?
Having a degree to PDs is more than just knowledge. Remember that. It proves you have discipline, determination, responsibility, etc when you even have at least a 2 year degree. But specifically, if a cop doesn't know The Bill of Rights, then he'll probably end up screwing up quite often, even though they teach it at the academy.

Something I found amusing among the talk with ISIS and ISIL
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/19/isis-daesh-france_n_5850280.html?cps=gravity Seems some of the West's governments are resorting to name calling tactics, and I'm loving it. Loving it even more since ISIS and ISIL is having their "feelings" hurt.

Why aren't we funding this?
Politics... Although I've only talked to about 5 pilots, but they've all said the f-35 handles better than anything else. They've described it as a Harley v Ducati

US Army
I'm actually quite fond of the M4. I'd trust my life in battle with it. Never had a jam or misfire with it, and can put a solid grouping together at 250 meters. Although I prefer the H&K 417.

US Army
Sounds like you made out pretty well. It's funny because I sometimes wish I went in the army for a little more action. That's why I "voluntold" for a deployment. Lol. And assuming you got E3 because of college credits, you would have gotten the same thing in the AF. I came out E4 Becssue of college credits and Warhawk standards in BMT. Note to the OP, learn at least NCO ranks for the other branches. I ALWAYS end up fucking up the other services ranks since the AF is ass backwards with theirs. Lol

US Army
Because we're like the MPs; "Multipurpose". Lol. We can go through Ranger school, Airborne school, Army Sniper school, etc. Makes us able to supplement front line forces in wartime.
-
US Army
My second choice on my Dream Sheet was to try to get stationed at Fort Benning and go through Airborne School, and then I can be one of those ultra-douchie Security Forces guys that can say "I'm badass!"

US Army
You should totally join the Air Force.......Just sayin' bro. I gotta try................ Congrats though, man. But a word of warning, unless you actually have that in writing or it's gone through and you signed the waiver, don't get your hopes up. Recruiters will do that shit, just to keep you on the hook. That's the way it went with my recruiting process. But it should go through no problem.
-
Let's see some pic's of what you do for work, Heres mine:
Our maintenance crew can fix it. Just our aircrew usually *won't*. If they can still fly relatively safely, then they're clueless. Lol
-
Let's see some pic's of what you do for work, Heres mine:
Lol, sounds about right. Aircrew is clueless about anything mechanical.
-
Let's see some pic's of what you do for work, Heres mine:
Ahh yes. The Air Force still has to chauffeur you around... Haha
-
Let's see some pic's of what you do for work, Heres mine:
Well, in an effort to stay awake, I decided to expose our budget cuts. This is what I normally do (Not me in the mirror) And here's something your recruiter won't tell you, kids!

The Most Educated Countries In The World
Actually, to an extent, our education system is flawed. I know other people share these same concerns, but we spend way too much time focusing on our Math and Sciences. As somebody already said, yes you will be using math and science in most career fields. But if you plan on doing accounting, or, hell, a cop, do you really need all those Multivariable Calculus, and Quantum Mechanics classes? Algebra (to maybe a level 2), and a general science and biology suffice. There needs to be more of an effort to teach critical thinking, and the reasoning behind a lot of these "sciences". If you know WHY the Pythagorean theorem works, then using it becomes easier. Being able to think through things for yourself helps you out more than just memorizing what you're being taught. Which, essentially, is all school is. Teachers spoon-feed you knowledge, and you're expected (through repetition) to be able to reproduce it at the drop of a hat. Instead of saying, "Some greek dude spend 20 years of his life playing with numbers and found this out to be mostly true, so therefore you need to learn it.", they should make an effort to explain why it works out that way. I'm not saying that works for everything, but critical thinking is something seriously lacking in the American culture and education system. It's not perfect now, and what I said isn't perfect, but I believe it's a step in the right direction. Although I agree with English being a major concern. I cringe when people cannot even form a coherent sentence.
