  1. I'll try that thanks. Its just that its weird that you respond and then you're kinda left on your own. I had no idea what to do.
  2. Can anyone tell me what am I supposed to do with the Broken Down Vehicle call out? The person is standing on the highway, his car has given in and I have set up a roadblock to avoid speeding cars ramming in me. What now?
  3. No problem. You mod these amazing scripts for us. I don't mind giving back a little. I'll keep you posted on other callouts as I come across them. Thanks for making Bohan an interesting place now. Since it was the smallest island, I never went there for patrolling as it literally feels like a wasteland with very little to do for us law enforcers. I encountered a script error while playing today though. It was nothing. Just a tiny error the script encountered but then went about its business like normal. Thought you might wanna have a look:
  4. So do I just evacuate the area beforehand, get out of my cruiser screaming, "I AM GOING FOR GLORY!" and jump into it knowing that I would end up in hospital regardless? Its almost guaranteed to blow up anyway like the car doesn't have a technical fault but was left on purpose by some Talibani Jihadist.
  5. @Kanyo: Do vdH mods still work with 1.0c?
  6. Boy, I've had this vehicle on fire callout twice already and it blows up in the middle of a choked street starting a chain reaction. Is there a trick how to disconnect the battery properly? I just press E as instructed. Its like defusing a ticking bomb lol.
  7. Job well done, lad. I missed the opportunity of responding to
  8. Of course, the dolphins. I love them because they're cute. And I respect them because of their peculiar nature. Here is an excerpt about their social behavior straight from Wiki: Respect.

  10. Its not quite right. Dodge wheels on a Vic? Hmm.... I'll pass.
  11. Honestly, IMO Saints Row The Third > Saints Row 2 > Saints Row IV. Haven't played the first installment as it never came out for PC. Anyway, I would love to have a revived Freedom Fighters
  12. No, sorry, looks like I jumped to the conclusion too early. The error popped up again after I changed the Suspect Transport entries in the .ini. After much trial and error, I have found that if I change the default entries in this attribute, I'm guaranteed to get this error. So, folks, don't change the default entries i.e. POLICE;POLICE2;PSTOCKADE if you're using 1.0c. This version freaks out if you change these values.
  13. You lost me. Belarus, Ukraine and Russia were the last nations of the USSR who had a secret meeting which concluded that they would officially dissolve the USSR. You have read it, right?
  14. Just so anyone stumbles upon this thread: I solved it. I tried a bulk of solutions at once that I came up with yesterday. Not sure which one did the trick: - First, I completely uninstalled LCPDFR and all of its components and then reinstalled it fresh (I use manual). - Then I changed the root folder's permissions by unchecking the 'Read-Only' attribute (I had tried it already but...) - Then I installed LAA from here: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> - And lastly, I ticked the GTA:IV.exe's 'Always Run As Admin' attribute. Its most likely the first step which did the trick for me, but I'm not entirely sure.
  15. The USSR did not "defeat" itself. The group disbanded mainly because they learn their lessons in '80s which the British had learnt in the '20s. That is, maintaining such big leagues and empires cost currency. Most of the abandoned Russian projects and initiatives today are known to be abandoned for one sole reason- they were 'big' and hence their upkeep was costing money.
  16. I know. Will address this issue. True. But then again, as you say, being a superpower is not about size. And we all know that Russians have definitely got the guts. You ignored my brackets in the words "(optionally China)". There's a reason why I wrote it like that. I stated it in my post that the Chinese are picking fights with everyone so clearly, they're not going to be allies with anyone, but just in case, you know. Nothing in this world has a 100 percent guarantee. At the end of the day all everyone craves for, is survival, and before that, victory. So, like I said. You never know. As for the other part, you're weighing all nations individually which I am avoiding as of now. I made it very clear in my previous posts that when allies step in, you are dealing with an entirely different scenario. Lets up the stakes and look at the big picture: Do not forget that Russia, China and India have the largest armies besides the USA, and none of the western countries are in the top 10 list of the same. Now Russia and Japan have the technology and China does the bulk of manufacturing for the globe so there goes another point to Asia. I'm not saying that all other countries are worthless, I am just replying to you in your style.
  17. I don't know why most people here are weighing nations individually. Its more than obvious that allies would jump in despite of how technologically advanced they are or how much manpower they got and thats whats gonna make a difference. I just don't want a situation like that to happen ever; given the technology we have, we'll most likely all end up blowing ourselves up and the survivors will have to start the society all over again which isn't exactly a pleasant thought. China: has always sucked at wars, yes, but they're the main source of almost all of the international disturbance and tensions in the Asian Pacific region. According to the wiki, China has been claiming ownership of the regions which doesn't belong to them and has been provocating territorial disputes with the following countries: Hong Kong, Bhutan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Philippines, Mongolia, Malaysia and Brunei. Not too long ago, they had a stand off with the States when they allegedly/illegally declared Japan's Senkaku islands a Chinese Air Defense identification Zone (ADIZ). Due to the US-Japan treaty, the US stood up and protested against the Chinese move but the Chinese don't listen. Similarly, they have claimed Philippine waters which caused the US to interfere again. They also gobble up Indian territory every once in a while and then add it to their official map. Japan: These guys are smart. No kidding. They may not have the manpower, but they got the brains. I mean if they can produce the world's fastest trains on an island which receives 1500 earthquakes a year on an average, they're not your average Joes. If they can keep their nuclear reactors from blowing up their own country despite frequent threats of tsunamis, they ARE something. So the Japanese aren't something you wanna mess with. For the most part, they're peaceful people but provoking them will be someone's one hell of a mistake. Russia: Some people here think Russia don't mean shit. Well, I would advise them to go read some shit about Russia. I mean the USA is tough talk I get it, but underestimating Russia is plain foolish. The reason I talk about these countries above is because in a war-like situation, Asia has most of the superpowers (talking of quantity) and they may team up if required. Russia, Japan and India (optionally China) may team up against the West if anything happens (assuming UK, Germany, USA and the UK join forces). Besides, every government has some well hidden secrets about their actual technology and what they're actually capable of doing one on one. Believe it or not, every year some whistleblowers sacrifice their lives trying to uncover this classified info in almost every powerful country. Its another thing that we never get to know about them as that news is suppressed by the government before it even reaches the media. So, who's got what will only come out when a world war starts. Which I never want to happen.

  19. Excuse me, but thats not true. Not anymore at least. They're not charity. They're business. They're a successful company. And the secret of being a giant isn't always rainbow and chocolate but rather something nasty that you won't like when you see it.
