Is 'speech.rpf' and 'speech.dat' editing that challenging? It would seem that is the only thing regarding GTA IV modding that has yet to have any progress made. All of my occasional efforts to mod those results in insta-crashes. I would love to add not replace speech files. What the fat cops say is just too funny. Cheers.

Hey Sam just a quick question, are the V female police heads in the same position (co-ordinates etc...) as the default IV cop heads (and f_y_multiplayer heads it would seem)? What I mean is can I extract the heads from the file and place them in other ped mods that I have done using cp702's Combining Ped Meshes tutorial? Cheers. p.s. what is meant by 'rigging'?

I have always wanted a high quality 1990's Crown Vic. Using a modified/civilianised Vapid Police Cruiser (IV) is just not the same. Cheers.

The NYPD/LCPD does have E.S.U. (Emergency Service Unit) which performs essentially the same functions as a SWAT unit. Cheers.

I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully the texture 'templates' shouldn't be too different to IV cops for easier retexturing. Are there any major differences apart from the heads between the police and sheriff cop models? Theoretically you could just transfer (and edit the arm/sleeve portions) the relevant textures (e.g. uppr and lowr diff) and create all four at once using each model as a 'base'. If the extra features/changes made for ELS V7.1 are instead used and rolled into ELS V8.0 I hope there has been coding added to make the siren work with 'non-native' emergency vehicles (e.g. emerg1 through to emerg7). You can hit the siren or air horn buttons all you want but traffic will never move out of the way. Cheers.

Do you think a "Vehicle Functions Wheel" linked with a sub option in the 'Radio Selection Wheel' would work? 1. Open up the RSW, hover to VFW circle. 2. Now select VFW, In this wheel there are various vehicle controls such as indicators, ignition, and various other options including siren and emergency lighting controls. 3. To return to the RSW select the radio sub option. There was a topic on GTAForums with a similar theme. I will link to it when I can find it.
