  1. I'll be honest, I don't know anything about AMD. I've always found Intel and Nvidia to be the superior product. Just because the specs are better, doesn't necessarily mean the product overall is better. Like 5GHz vs 4.4Ghz, or 8 Migapixels vs 30. It's just a marketing term, so look at the overall quality of the product to find the product that suits you. But in my system now I have 2 EVGA GTX 660's SC SE (Signature Edition) and it worked beautifully. ENBs, Car Mods, All highest graphics (Maybe anti-aliasing at 8x, 16x is a bit too high). EDIT: I meant to say, 1 GTX worked fine when I had one for about a year.
  2. To be honest, I've never heard anything about them having a bad reputation, except for the Boston Marathon stuff and I can see that, however it's a pretty horrific event. Whether it was staged or not, I'll probably never know. (Some guys were talking about that in another forum thread) As for the Taurus's, I know they bought some but I thought they really were moving to buying explorers only. Around here Crown Vics are still what you'll see the most of. I haven't seen any plans to incorperate Impalas, new chargers (Old ones are dying out ATM) or caprices. Just Explorers seem to be the only "New" car I've seen.
  3. BxBugs (Trooper Dashie) Released an Explorer recently that went perfect with the MSP setup I was looking for, so I took the old Crown Vic and make a short demonstration video of my ELS, ENB, and vehicular mods for the MSP. :)

  6. We need more modelers like you! All the rest are snobby modelers who only release for a small clan of like 5 people. It pisses me off, and I never understand why.
  7. What about the old MSP motto, "The nation's first, the worlds finest"
  8. Mmm what you say... Hopefully somebody will find it funny
  9. Indeed, I have 2 EVGA GTX 660's in SLI configuration in my system. Great cards, great brand, great bang for your buck.
  10. Yes that does look pretty good, I can't tell too well because I'm not an AMD person. But it doesn't look that bad.
  11. I'd just verify what 1ian20 said, GTX 660 would be the best GPU for that money. EVGA brand is always good.
  12. Completely understood, and that makes sense. To me, with Windows 8, Microsoft didn't make a whole lot of changes to the 8 Desktop, they spent most of their time on the Metro version, and their big vision of the "Unified OS". Unfortunately, it was the wrong move and a stupid one at that and the desktop version didn't get to see the changes and performance boosts if would have gotten if people's heads weren't in their asses over at Microsoft. A unified OS is like a Utopia, it doesn't exist. :) I'd explain it, but I'll just assume we agree on that.
  13. I'm not looking to argue or anything, but I've always heard Windows 7 is better for gaming than Windows 8. I've run Windows 7 for 3 years and I've had Windows 8/8.1 for about 1 year now. Completely honest, I'm a big gamer and I haven't noticed any difference whatsoever. But let me make this clear, metro version sucks. I only use the desktop version + Start8 Start Button and I honestly don't even realize I have Window 8 sometimes, it's literally the exact same. My rational is you should always buy the newest tech because maybe you won't see a difference right away, but down the road as the manufacturers stop supporting old firmware, or your OS isn't optimized for brand new technology, that's when you'll loose performance. And that's why I said you're bottle-necking yourself.
  14. Well newegg is also good, that link computer looked pretty good.
  15. One guy mentioned if it breaks, which is a good point. But the real reason is performance. In computer world, 2 is always better than 1. Bad explanation, but 2 level 5 parts will be better than 1 level 10, even though they both add up to 10, the two 5's will be better (Really bad explanation lol). In this case, 2 sticks of RAM is better than 1 because it'll utilize dual channel technology, making it about 10% faster in some cases. NOTE: When you look at the motherboard you'll see the RAM slots like this (From Left to Right) (1)(2)(3)(4). And usually, 1 and 3 will be a color, and 2 and 4 will be a different color. If you get 2 sticks of ram, they should always be on the same color, so either slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4. Otherwise, it's wont utilize dual channel. (Sorry it's a bit complicated to explain :D)
  16. Well I built mine, and I've been adding on to it for about a year. I'd say total maybe $1500.
  17. Maybe try this website? http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ I really don't know much about buying gaming PCs, most of the time the user builds them, that's what I did.
  18. $600 - $800 can buy a decent gaming computer. What do you plan on doing? building or buying?
