True, I agree but in the end it all comes down to the money to be honest... otherwise there would be no reason for it to be illegal... companies care about money way to much, instead of being happy about people enjoying the product, they are only thinking about squeezing every penny they can get out of you from the product.

Try deleting ALL GTA IV Folders in your program files and documents (there is a folder in there) Then re install IV, and manually do the 1.0.7 update from here: http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/484496-Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch-7-Title-Update-v-1-0-7-0-English-1-0-6-1-Russian-1-0-5-2-Japanese- Then see what happens, and as Custo, said try running it as an admin after you re install IV

I am against piracy... only because it is illegal. I know there are programs out there like Microsoft Office and others that are way too expensive for some people, so they go and illegally download it for free so they can use it while people work for it and pay for their own copy. Whether it is a game, music, a program etc, it is wrong. I see people on this site that do not have a legal copy of IV, now, some people would say, ''Oh its only 20 dollars, why can't you go and buy it?'' Yes this is true, but some people do not have that 20 dollars, but when they do, other things take priority. Basically because it is illegal I do not support it, and I never will either. Its always better to buy a legal version than have the FBI kick down your door and arrest you only because you didn't think and went and got that one program, song, or game, and it turns out that it really wasn't worth it.
