If your talking about the commandline.txt, That goes in your gta iv root directory.

Same problem here, It's not an "error" but maybe a bug. Nothing to worry about, No way of removing it either.

Specs look great on the comp your looking to get. GTA works fine with windows 8. EFLC however needs you to get the GFWL update. It's in a thread. But yeah.

Get an i7 Intel, 2.6Ghz or 3.0GHz. And your RAM...get 6 Gigs i have 6 and everything works fine, But 1.75 is not even close to enough (If you fixed the RAm problem ignore please) But your specs are crap compared to the minimum of what you need. I suggest a new computer or major specs upgrade.

I had the same problem one time. For me I had to re-install my game. Something was corrupted. Try making another save game, otherwise re-install gta. Really don't know why this happens but it did happen to me.

Whats the latest mod/Skin or whatever you installed? If you recently installed something and it happend after uninstall it and test. Otherwise I have never seen or experienced a game just freezing.....If its not a mod then it could be something corrupted, Try making a new save. Otherwise you might have to reinstall or use your backup of EFLC (Assuming you made one).

Sooo you just gave us two different stories here. First you said you press alt+P To go on duty and your screen goes blurry (thats screen blur, Just hit P again). But then you say its not letting you go on duty. If its not letting you go on duty, go to your gta directory and paste in your contents of lcpdfr log file. Could be an error or failed install. As for the screen blur just hit P again. But seriously, Which of the problems are you getting, Screen blur or can't go on duty? Please specify.

Get a better computer/Video card(s). Your hardware can't meet the requirements to play gta iv, So even if you get it to run you will lag like hell.

Whoah whoah whoah before you jump the gun and pay for another PC theres two more solutions. Commandline.txt (You make this in your main GTA directory, And put in the following: -noprecache -novsync -novblank -viewdistance 0 -renderquality 0 -detailquality -frameLimit 0 -texturequality 0 -availablevidmem 1.5 -percentvidmem 100) This alone should boost your FPS (17 is decent.) Also downoad something called Razer Game Booster. It disables background processes (Un neeeded ones) To boost your FPS. Just right click LaunchEFLC.exe and hit launch with game booster you can find a DL online. If both of those fail to boost your FPS then you have a pretty bad/Burnt or worn out PC mah friend. Anyways for a new PC get intel i7, Nvidia type graphics card maybe about 16 gigs of ram if needed (If you play a lot of games) I have about 6. Uhh Processer get about 2.9GHz or 3.0GHz. Good high speed fans for cooling (Keep your CPU as cool as possible). But try those solutions first, If they don't work then you have a very low end PC....But from your sepcs they are pretty decent, These two fixes SHOULD boost your FPS pretty high, If not then yeah i'd get a new comp. Also don't have too many mods/Scripts/car mods installed. Causes lag too

So yeah that should about do it, Just look and fix whats marked in red X, Whatever has ✔ is fine. This will fix lag (FPS drop) And your CPU from overheating (Hopefully) Make sure your vents are clear and your fans are working to make sure your hardware doesnt overheat (This can cause FPS drop as well)

Just uninstall your custom cars (You can use your backup vehicles.img and replace it or download a clean one online) Then ONLY put low poly cars in from then on. scripts shouldn't cause TOO Much crashing, As for your specs (Depending on your OS) Hit your windows button, Hit R then Run should come up. type in dxdiag and some of your specs should come up (Processor, Graphics card just check the other tabs.) If your specs arent too good then i suggest put your game on lowest settings and look online for other stuff. Some computers just arent meant to play GTA (Especially laptops). Remember to install low-poly cars and as said before don't install them on police and police2 ( drdetroit)

If someone is hosting a Multiplayer server on GTA IV, Can somebody on EFLC join that game? Or would It have to be the normal GTA (In other words is EFLC able to join other games that are hosted on normal gta iv)

Download something called "Game booster" It disables un-needed processes (Ex. Windows Update). Works for me for any game (Adds about an extra 5-10FPS boost. Worth a shot)

Well...Yes and no. It doesn't work in fullscreen (For me at least).....If anything play in window and select the area around the window to record so it SEEMS its in fullscreen. Also keep in mind, When you record your FPS will start to drop (most likely) so be prepared for some lag Happy recording.

Yeah the massive frame drop is something you get with that, And sometimes in general. Thats just GTA being gta. I get that too. Well at least your memory problem is fixed.

From the error seems like its a data error. I install my games from steam so I'm not entirely sure......Looks like your using a disc. As said before is it scratched That error looks like it's a corrupted file/Problem in data check when installing (data3.cab) which is an important file assuming you cant install because of it. If you are using a disc, Check for stratches and try to buff them out or buy a new disc.

Yeah, It even says (in a file) That does nothing but is named "PUT DOT NET SCRIPTHOOKS HERE!" In a scripts folder upon download :P

Solution. Should always make a backup of the un modded fresh installed Gta IV. No one seems to know what that error means (From me looking it up online). But yeah, Re-install gta or if you do have a backup use that

***To people who don't know how to install scripthook*** ScriptHookDotNet.asi goes in SCRIPTS folder. Other files go in the normal GTA iv directory. (The 1.7.1.7 is on the policehelper 1.0.0b as abraxas said. Go there to download it. Error SS10...I have no clue what error that is)

I can't wait to see how amazing the next version then the final version (in the future) Of LCPDFR will be. Its come so far, With more updates it will be even more perfect :D
