  1. It might be down to our individual driving styles, people who modulate the inputs and pay attention to how the car behaves and adapts to the physics will have a better experience than those who mash the throttle and drives Burnout style. It's very different from IV, the cars in IV weren't that good to be honest, the cars were very loose and with massive bodyroll. The cars in V feels more planted on the road, some of the sports cars are prone to turn-in oversteer followed by substantial understeer as it tries to snap back into place, however easing off the throttle or taking it easier before you turn in will help it. I personally like how the cars drive, there's always some acclimation when learning how the cars drive in a new game, but I find it as the best driving mechanics this side of racing sims, the cars communicate to you both by showing how you what is going on, but also by giving you audio input, going gentle on the brakes in some cars will keep it just below where the ABS kicks in which helps tremendously with slowing down.
  2. It's here, I'm currently playing it. One of my first freeroam experiences was driving near the Vinewood sign, I checked behind me because I heard a siren and saw a car that drove like shit, then it stopped and the occupants got out, a cop car pulled up and the suspects had a shootout with the cops. This game is amazing.
  3. It's already a forum rule, no spoilers or leaks until after the game, it is Rockstars wish that the game remains "unspoiled" for their customers and I can't see a reason for why we should view it differently. However there's no restrictions on content released by Rockstar, members can post it as they please as long as it conforms to the guidelines for the particular section of the site it is posted to.
  4. I honestly don't get why people are worried about RC3, it's nothing RC2 isn't, there's no major changes to it, sure the call-out text is nice and shiny, but that's about it to be honest, maybe a couple of bugfixes here and there, but honestly it's not any different, same callouts, same behaviour from the AI, there's nothing that really sets it apart from RC2. Additionally, I was added as tester back a couple of years ago to do exactly that, show off the work that the developers did, the alternative would have been that nothing was ever shown of 0.95 and I think people would be complaining even more if it wasn't shown off. In fact, development of 0.95 stopped a while ago, that's why I haven't had any features to show off in a long while, that series is just a generic LCPDFR comedy-play than it is actually showing off 0.95's "new" features because quite frankly, there isn't much to show in RC3.
  5. That is not safe driving in any shape or form. Those officers should not be driving their cars to the point where they are airborne, not to mention the urban enviroment where they need to be especially alert and ready to react to any sudden hazard, those officers would not have a chance to react to cross-traffic or a pedestrian that stepped out from between one of those parked cars. The driver of the second car was close to losing control once the weight shifted back down after the jump, the car is weaving.

The clan/groups system is temporarily disabled until we have addressed some issues with it, I can't say when it'll be back, but we'll post a notice once we can.
  7. The old halogen cars had a LED strip in the rear window with red and blue lights that was used once on scene,> this is the best imagine I could find of it

  9. There's no need for a caps locked topic title, please write titles using proper capitalization in the future.
  10. The issue with these situations is that people will always see what they want to see, people will either say that the cops are asshole cops or they did what they had to do. It's personal opinion unless you're a trained law enforcement officer, any other debate is an exchange of opinion. One side is calling the cops in this case asshole cops for arresting this black guy for no reason, then they shot his dog because they felt like. Another side is arguing that the guy provoked the cops, they arrested or detained him, the dog appeared to attack officers so the cops acted accordingly. Those two will never reach agreement which to me at least renders these dicussions useless as you aren't approaching it with the mentality of exchanging opinions, it is not worth discussing something with someone who is only interested in proving themselves right or proving you wrong.
  11. We'll always comply with organizations that requests us to remove content they own the rights to, that's the way the world works. Ford can ask us to take down any files released on here that contains their logos and likeness if they want to, the same goes for any police department and equipment manufacturer as it is highly unlikely that any of our users has licence agreements with any car or equipment manufacturer. The legality of modding has been discussed before, Sam even summed it up pretty well >here
  12. Please stick to the original topic instead of asking the poster why made multiple posts, report the excessive posts and leave it at that in the future. It's not the first time agencies request that a mod of their vehicles are taken down, their graphics, logo and likeness is copyrighted to them
  13. That's your decision to make. Images that are adding content like showing off a mod will not be removed as they are relevant to the discussion.
  14. Only irrelevant images, such as the memes you posted over on the Ford Escape thread if frowned upon as they do not add any relevant content, you are free to post any images you may have of mods you are working on as they add relevant content the forum.

  16. Prison Labour is really nice, I make upwards of 40k a day from my workshops, they employ 80 of my inmates.
  17. I have somehow managed to control my prison pretty well, apart from this guy: It's running nicely apart from that, I have a laundry that works, I've always had trouble with not getting uniforms handed out so their needs would skyrocket.
  18. The trucking games were always on PC and severely limited by budget, it's a relatively small developer from the Czech republic that has made all the trucking games. It's not a game I'm interested in at all. I love racing games, however I usually stay away from arcade racers. I am however very excited to see that game developers are looking elsewhere than just graphics with the new generation of consoles, I hope we'll see even bigger open worlds in a couple of years once developers know how to push the new generation of consoles, it'll be nice to see if they can improve games other than making more detailed models and higher resolution textures. It'll be interesting to see how much they can improve AI and other aspects of games with the new technology. I'm pretty sure you're forced to upgrade your vehicle if you want to progress though the game, I remember it being so with the old NFS:Underground games and it'll probably be same here.
  19. All the additional features aren't really that relevant to people outside the US, netflix is either unavailable or severely limited in the countries that do have it. I don't care about live TV capabilities as my Xbox 360 is connected to my TV, why view it via the xbox when I can use the TV and save on my electricity bill? I don't care about used games, never bought one, haven't been to a physical games shop in years now because it's cheaper to buy it online with free delivery the next day. By far my biggest issue is that Microsoft seems to not care for their customers, I can't believe their arrogance when they said that people could just buy a 360 instead. However, I am very cautious about Sony, their big PSN outage where millions of credit card info was hacked a couple of years ago combined with their SOPA support makes me see them as just about the same level of credibility as Microsoft when it comes to customer care and interest. I haven't seen any games for the two consoles that are a "must have" for me, I certainly haven't seen anything that entices me for a pre-order/launch day purchase. I'll stick with PC, it has the games I want to play (bar GTA:V), I already have the hardware needed to run new releases without them looking like something my bottom produced in a toilet bowl.
  20. I googled "LCPDFR Peel Regional Police" and got these results
  21. You that you have a "2gb amd radeon hd 8570 (dx11)", but the report you posted as "Geforce 9600GT", are you sure that you're using the newer AMD card instead of the older GeForce card?
  22. There's no need for the all-caps title and posts, please don't do it again.
  23. The system is a bit different: YouTube has a "three strikes" system, your account will be shut down if three of your videos are flagged by their content ID system (depending on the action wanted by the "original creators"). Some original creators will disable monetization for the user, instead the ad revenue will go to the original creator. Other creators will add a strike to your account, you can only get three strikes before your account is indefinitely banned, you will be able to log in and see your own videos, however your channel and videos will not be publicly visible. Each offence can add a strike and you can have three videos flagged in one go and have your account banned. The Content ID system is done automatically, there's no human interaction, it's nearly impossible to appeal the content ID claim, it is certainly not worth the trouble. There's no way to appeal a ban. Nerdcubed was the centre of one particular incident earlier in the year, he tweeted that a unnamed company had offered him a "substantial amount of money" to present their game in a positive light, some believed he should not have mentioned it at all while others insisted that he revealed who it was and what game they wanted him to play. Sensibly he stayed quiet about it because his career would be over if he revealed it as the publisher would flag any videos he may have uploaded that has content from the publisher in it. Gaming publishers has the power to terminate YouTube channels at their leisure. What's worth taking away from this? Well here's how I see it: Publishers are trying and possibly succeeding in paying off gamers on YouTube to positively show off their game. Publishers can hold gaming channels hostage, publishers are free to do as they want. I hope that we will soon see a replacement for YouTube, YouTube is turning into a cable provider for the internet in the sense that they are focusing more on large users like Machinima, CBS, BBC, NSA and FBI (ya see what I did there?), they are neglecting smaller channels and individual users and focusing on cooperate customers, all their changes are affected by it, it's getting worse and worse for the individual user.
  24. Communism is socialist ideology that aims to create a classless, moneyless and stateless structure, it has nothing to do with communism. YouTube is forced to take down any videos that is claimed by any any game publisher, they have no say as YouTube is hosted and run from the the US. The only company I have heard that's taking a formal stance against YouTube gaming videos is Nintendo as they have claimed ownership of many videos created with their content in it. I personally think it's a very bad idea to take action against videos, it is the most powerful marketing tool out there, I have bought many games after watching a lets play, I usually watch a couple of game play videos of a game before I buy it to ensure it's a good game. Take-two (and a couple other companies) have a different policy, they do not object to people using their games in videos as long as they do not "spoil the plot" of the game, they are also not allowed to use cutscenes and pre-recorded audio. Gaming videos are a part of the gaming industry by now, they help increase publicity and sales for games and publishers should accept that they in fact help them instead of hurt them providing the game they made is good.
  25. Oh crap that's fantastic, great use of the P/A system.
