Unmarked 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor "Old George"
- 1,136 downloads
- Version 1.0
General information The model is equipped with a slanted chrome grille, 2001 CVPI rims, a police centre console, a Unity® spotlight and two SecuRom® Antennas on the boot. Lighting information The lighting equipment fitted to the front of the car is: 2 Whelen® 500 series 5mm LED lightheads (50*00F*R) fitted to the grille Wig/Wags Whelen Slimlighter™(SLPMM**) mounted at the top of the windscreen The lighting equipment fitted to the back of the car is: 2 Whelen® Slimlighter™ (SLPMM**) mounted to the hat shelf Wig/Wags The vehicle has minimal lighting to the front and rear, the rear having more obvious lights as the player is more likely to look at this part of the car. The grille lights may appear as dim, this is to replicate the low output by the 5mm LED bulbs in the 500 series 5mm LED module (50*00F*R). The grille lights protrudes past the grille itself as the 500 series module requires a casing, the casing used in the model is a black flange (5FLANGEB) which is further mounted on a custom black plastic block that are mounted to the grille itself using screws on the inside of the grille. ELS mapping: Front facing lights: Extra 1: Left Slimlighter™ TIR6 Extra 4: Right Slimlighter™ TIR6 Extra 5: Left headlamp Extra 6: Right headlamp Extra 7: Left 500 Series 5mm LED lighthead Extra 8: Right 500 Series 5mm LED lighthead Rear facing lights: Extra 1: Left Slimlighter™ TIR6 module on left Slimlighter™ Extra 2: Right Slimlighter™ TIR6 module on left Slimlighter™ Extra 3: Left Slimlighter™ TIR6 module on right Slimlighter™ Extra 4: Right Slimlighter™ TIR6 module on right Slimlighter™ Extra 5: Left tail light Extra 6: Right tail light Authors notes The vehicle was built based on the idea that a police agency like the LCPD wouldn't equip their large fleet of vehicles with a tonne of lights, especially unmarked cars and other vehicles that aren't assigned to front line response are often outfitted with minimal lighting and equipment to appease accountants. The vehicle itself may have some inaccuracies for the exact model year, this is easily negated by the reason that a department like the LCPD would repair their fleet with whatever parts they have available in-house at the time of repair. The vehicle is equipped with a police computer, a Unity Spotlight and a police console with various equipment fitted. The model has multiple liveries enabled, however the skin included contains license plates and a black rear fascia only, enabling the player to manually change colour using a trainer.- 18 comments

New car!
From my experience I'd agree, cop cars are ragged to hell and back by the drivers, nobody has any care for how they treat their cars in the police. Police cars are tools as much as the lights and siren are and they're treated as such, no love or care shown to them. I'd never buy anything that was used by the police or any emergency service for those reasons.

Cops guns always drawn?
They have them out before you go on duty at the police station, I'm not entirely sure why it happens though as I don't remember if they did that before installing LCPDFR.

Unmarked CVPI takes off after suspect
It will, I still need to add lights to the rear of the car, a spotlight and some interior equipment to it.

Traffic Stop Gone Wild
A friendly word of advice, never use YouTube's "recommendation" for fixing "shaky" or "dark" videos, it really only messes the video up.

Are you using ELS v6 or v7?

Mod pack VS single mod?
I like packs if the content has a common theme, I wouldn't want to download a pack with a bunch of random cars without any meaning behind it. I want to give the users as much content as possible with each release, that's why I usually release two or more cars each time, some people might like a charger with the light setup I made but they don't want ANPR cameras so they can use the version without cameras. The same can go for skins, I think people would be more inclined to download a mod if it gives them several options, why download a CVPI skin that looks good instead of a pack with skins for three or four different car models as they'd be able to use more mods with your pack. It would take much effort to add even more content to the release by making special units like supervisor units, traffic or similar units. Another option is to release a pack designed for ALM, meaning the packs contains different skins for some areas of the map (Alderney PD, LCPD, Algonquin PD, Broker PD, etc.)

Drink driver on Union Drive West.
From the album: NB's in-game action
Dispatch put me out on a drink driver call, I caught up with the Felzter on Union Drive West and effectuated a traffic stop. The driver had some difficulty vacating his vehicle upon request, he initially fell to the ground then got back up and stumbled into oncoming traffic, a quick reaction from a Landstalker saves his life. -

LCPD(NYPD) Highway Patrol Pack
I don't really see why the PI is relevant here as it's not included in the pack, deco hasn't done anything wrong in fact he's honouring the original creator by not releasing the model.
