MMMMUUURRRIICAAA! On a serious note: I really do hope they contain the fires and everyone makes it out well. I can't think of anything worse than a major forest/bush fires.

Proof that AI police will do traffic stops..
It happened a few times during testing for me, one time the car cop car was spawned in the middle of a pillar in Hove Beach, I think that contributed to why the chance of them having a stop is so now (you don't want an AI car to sapwn inside a building which causes the physics engine to go crazy).

The internet is a bit like going to a shopping centre, you will be watched by security the second you enter it. Nobody is exempt from it.

Busted!
From the album: NB's in-game action

Less fleeing suspects
There's no "ratio" as such from what I've been told, there's a random chance that a suspect might take off (I think it's increased if LCPDFR spawned it with ANPR altert or it's a callout/world-event car) LCPDFR 1.0 integrated the AI foot chases from vanilla IV which might be why you have many pursuits, I use a mod that alters the popcycle so I have less cops in cars and on foot. I rarely see ambient foot chases in Algonquin or Bohan.

Building a real police car [Video]
Sirennet, a emergency vehicle equipment vendor has uploaded a 46 minute video where they show off the build process of their latest in-house demonstrator vehicle, the video shows the planning stage and the build stage along with narration by the workers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_dfk7lIeQY It's very interesting if you're interested in police cars and how they function, they talk about how the different lights will function as on the car and why they're mounting them the way they do. It's not the only video they have where they show the installation process, here's another video where they build a 2011 Dodge Charger patrol car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfNjMrAyFE0 Their entire channel is full of full builds and product demonstrations, it's a worthy reference source if you build cars or model lights for IV.

CVPI Size?
The DSF CVPI is actually the model that's replicates the real size of the CVPI best, the CVPI is 14 inches (212 in total) longer than the 2011 Charger, both EVI's and Bug's CVPI's are shorter than my 2011 Charger model. The rear on bugs and EVI's CVPI's are also incorrectly sized. The back is squeezed in tight which is very noticable on EVI's CVPI, the rear pate is noticeably smaller on EVI's CVPI. The most noticeable is as I mentioned above about the rear of the car. EVI mapped the windows to a template so we can add custom tint or text on windows, that's not an option on Bug's unlocked CVPI. There's also a difference in the file sizes: Bug's CVPI model is 3.3MB without any modifications. EVI's CVPI is 2.8MB without any modifications. They're no match for the CVPI from DSF which is only 650KB, tim98/deco's unlocked DSF CVPI is 740KB. The size alone is a huge deal, I'll gladly concede that some of the default textures on the DSF model leaves some to be desired (tail-lights and reverse lights). Everything else is in its favour (in my opinion), their performance impact is minimal, the lightwight nature of the model also allows me to add more equipment to the model before I get concerned about file sizes as I add substantial interior equipment to the car without it getting near the file sizes I'd see if I used Bugs or EVI's CVPI. That's not mentioning the actual size of the model, Bug's and EVI's cars are too small by any measure. I'm not sure if this is a general issue with the unlocked models that are available which is someone I'll have to look into.

NB's car modding thread!
Hey all! I'll be releasing all my car mods under the wonderful name of DD EV Outfits, that's Danish Dynamite Emergency Vehicle Outfits in full. nationalism WI! I couldn't resist my slogan, or the logo, or being silly. What kind of mods will you be making? My quality assurance is that the mods I make is the mods I use, I'm not going to make a mod that I wouldn't use myself. That being said, I want to try something new or different. My mods will be inspired by European equipment, especially Danish cars as we have a lot of unique and different ways of fitting lights to emergency vehicles than it's typically seen in the US. I'll mostly work with US cars like the Crown Vics, Chargers, Impalas and pretty much any car model I can get my hands on. I remember thinking that it was annoying that I always ended up with different cars that had different equipment on them. That's why I aim to release "theme" based mods, each release will usually contain two or more cars , similar to what you get with my 2011 Charger pack or my Chevy Power pack. Each car will bring a different asset to the mod while coinciding with the overall theme of the pack. It'll give you, the player, more content to enjoy. What can you do? I can do a lot, from photoshopping skins to scratch modelling lights and other equipment, I even botched together a 2011 Charger PP! It's still receiving tender love and care for future releases which will hopefully reduce the textures used. Below is links to the mods I release as well as background information on certain models that I have either made myself or extensively modified, hopefully someone can use this information to improve their modding skills: BOOKMARKS: PRE DD-EV Mods CAR MODELS ?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent> SKIN PACKS DD EV OUTFITS: ?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent> Release post: N/A Release post: N/A Release post: N/A

I'm confused about the different trims on CVPI's, the wiki page for the Crown Vic says that they ditched the slanted grille in '01, but photos like this: Tells me otherwise.
