    Hi everyone,
    The last day or so I haven't been playing the game's story line as most of you are (I've already played through it a few times on the old versions), instead I've devoted my time to observing the game's graphic options and characteristics. In general, seeing what I can do to squeeze the best graphics out of it with the best FPS possible. After doing countless reboots and benchmark testing, I've found a few helpful things. 
    Not all of us are able to afford expensive computers, but that doesn't mean you can't enable higher quality graphics.
    As of now, I am able to run the game on Ultra (1080 resolution) with 40 fps average, sometimes higher. Though on the advanced graphics menu, I have all enabled except the extended distance/shadow sliders all the way down.
    My hardware:
    Intel Core i7 960 @ 3.2 Ghz
     EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked (2 GB)
     12 GB of RAM.
    I consider my rig at least mid grade or entry level high end.
    All in all, I've found several ways to increase performance:
    Run in Borderless Window mode. This allows you to turn off VSync, and you also won't have any screen tearing. Easy FPS boost. On the Population Variety Slider, feel free to move it down. This is a very VRAM hungry option. I believe it has to do with the amount of extras on Peds, such as backpacks or items in general, or the variety of vehicles on the street. If I'm wrong please correct me. I moved it down and noticed little to no difference. Use your sacred VRAM on something more useful! Additionally, if anyone is experiencing random performance drops (such as the game locking up, super low 1-5 fps out of the norm) this is likely caused because of overloading. Decrease this to ease your VRAM. I personally suffered from this and decreased the slider to the near bottom (2 notches) and no longer experienced this.  NVIDIA cards - Use FXAA instead of MSAA. While it may not look as good, it has nearly no performance cost and I can't really see any difference. Additionally, enable it through your control panel rather than in-game for more FXAA options (different levels mostly), while in game you only have one option, which I assume is 16x. AMD cards should also use their equivalent if they want to increase performance. 
    NVIDIA cards - Go to the NVIDIA control panel. Enable Threaded Optimization, set Maximum pre-rendered frames to 3, and under power management mode, select Prefer maximum performance.  Additional note: You may select "Ignore Suggested Limits" to On in the in-game graphic settings menu. This allows you to exceed your VRAM limit. I'm personally around 800 MB over my limit and suffer no issues in regards to performance. For those of you who want the most out of this game graphically, I suggest you do the same.  If you prefer to have VSync for any reason, don't enable it in game. Instead, do it through you graphic card's control panel. Along with this, enable Triple Buffering. This helps increase performance while VSync is enabled.  Overclocking:
    Note: Overclock at your own risk. I am NOT responsible for any damage caused to your card. You have been warned! 
    Download the program for your respective card. For us NVIDIA users, I recommend EVGA Precision X. 
    I was able to increase GPU CLOCK OFFSET by 42 MHz, and MEM CLOCK OFFSET by 115 MHz. I have not gone any higher, nor do I plan to as I found the sweet spot for my card. Pushing your card too far may cause overheating, instability, game crashes, and possible damage. You may also increase the fan curve and voltage. Don't mess with voltage unless you know what you're doing. 

    I hope this helps many of you and you can enjoy this amazing game to its highest potential. Also, a special thanks to Murphy and Sniper296 for aiding my research.

    The recent GTA update is not compatible with SirenSettingLimitAdjuster, so any vehicles that use it won't work. the dev will have to update the mod

    Hello, 
    I am kind of a professional at sorting fixes with EUP, This bug is happening to load of people.
    How To Fix-Step1. Delete Ultimate backup and reinstall with latest version.
                        Step2. Go to your EUPcomponents.rpf found in your mods>update>x64>dlcpacks>eup>dlc.rpf>x64 and once found that look for 
                                    mp_m_freemode_01_mp_m_clothes_01 and make sure you have 8 ydd files and 15 ytd files inside.
                        Step3. If it continues to not work delete your update folder in mods and copy the update folder from your main directory back into your mods folder then reinstall                                  EUP but install serve and rescue before law and order.
                        Step4. If it continues to not work then my discord is OGFLXCQ#6474 and you can DM me on there and ill try and help you but from what I have leant this 3                                              months of researching, fixing and making custom EUP script/addons that's all I can help with it helped me a few other people needed help and it worked                                      100% for them
                        Step5. It also can be your game acting up and i only started getting it when I installed Custom outfits but I done it in a different folder by accident so if you are                                        trying to install uniforms and stuff watch tutorials in full depth on how to install because sometimes you could be like me and go ahead of the video                                              thinking I know what to do then mess my game up (happens to all of us xD.)

    So you downloaded a fancy 2015 Tahoe and installed it in the police3 slot, only to find that it rolls more than your eyes when your boss is talking to you.  Does your Silverado not drive like a truck should? or maybe your '15 Charger doesn't feel right.    There are a lot of options to choose from when deciding which handlingid you want to use for your car.  I've compiled a list of what I use for handling lines, and thus far, all have worked just fine.  For some of them, such as the Silverado and Expedition, someone else might of found a better handling, and if that's the case, please comment below letting me know what you're using and I'll give it a shot. 
     
    Some people like to edit the handling.meta.  This is not a requirement, the handlingid is all you need to touch if you just want the basics.  Handling.meta is there for those who know a bit about modding and want to refine the handling lines to feel realistic.
     
    For those that might be confused on what the handlingid is, it's one of the top lines in the vehicles.meta.
     
    Here's an example:
     
    <handlingId>police3</handlingId>  
    All of these will be for police vehicles, I will not be covering modded civilian cars.  Also note that this topic really only applies to those who have modded their police fleet.

    Go into the vehicles.meta, find the line for the cars you want the push bar to spawn with.
     
    Now find this line
     

    <requiredExtras />
     
    Change to
     

    <requiredExtras>EXTRA_1</requiredExtras>
     
    Change 1 to whatever the push bar extra number is.

    I know the thread is 3 years old, but make sure that it has an '=' equals sign after the word livery;
    Example:
    <Vehicle livery="1">police</Vehicle> Not doing so results in a fatal error and the game will not load

    After extensive research I have finally found the siren strings for ELS and all but two siren tones are now working in-game!
     
    They seem correspond to the OpenIV assigned names but they have the beginning part of the string added. These were all found by me personally through research and experimenting, so you're welcome (also would appreciate this being a pinned topic for others to find). From what I gather the string is basically referring to the location of the siren file in the game's archive ('RESIDENT' being the RESIDENT.rpf and 'VEHICLES' being vehicles.awc, followed by the siren name). Strangely, the siren names identified by OpenIV for the main LSPD tones and the Sheriff Granger tones don't work so I will need help with that. Anyway, enjoy!
     
     
    LSPD Main Police Siren:
    "VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_1" - Police Primary
    ("RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_PA20A_WAIL" doesn't work for some reason)

    My three requests are:
    1. Why are a few of them not working, particuarly the Sheriff Granger ones? Could someone with knowledge help?
    2. Can we get an AI Sirens mod that makes the AI change siren tones based on the vehicle's VCF siren setup?
    3. Is there any way to remove the pitch filters that are applied to some of the sirens? (e.g. the ambulance and fire truck sirens in-game are lower pitched than the actual file itself)

    Please follow the instructions below
     
    Navigate to GTAV/lspdfr/lspdfr.ini and set Main.DisableGameBlipHiding = true  
    This should fix your issue please reply back if you're still having issues.

    Go into the vehicles.meta, find the meta entry for the Explorer (whatever slot you installed it into), and look for handlingid.  Change this to gresley
     
    If your Taurus is flipping, change the handling id to fugitive.
