Sulaco76 reacted to c13 in Can Police Add-On Cars Be Used By AI?Go to GTA 5/LSPDFR/, open up the file "Backup.xml". Find the type of backup and the area you are looking for. Add vehicles based on that.

Sulaco76 reacted to ZeroHour in Can't perform traffic stopsUpdate: searched and found a post from another user here who had the same problem, and did enough digging to figure out the problem. I dunno if y'all are using EUP with the LSPDFR config for it like I am, but this user was and it comes from apparently a call to a BCSO badge texture for the GUI that isn't actually there. Somehow that one missing GUI texture brings the whole "going on duty" code to a halt. To fix, open agency_eup.txt in Grand Theft Auto V\LSPDFR\Data\Custom, find the Blaine County Sheriff's Office agency section, and replace these lines:
<TextureDictionary>rde_bcso</TextureDictionary>
<TextureName>rde_bcso</TextureName>
with
<TextureDictionary>dia_police</TextureDictionary>
<TextureName>dia_police</TextureName>
And voila, you can go on duty as BCSO again.

Sulaco76 reacted to RHefo96 in Police4 issues since 0.4 updateinstall this. it will show up then once you follow the guidelines. If problem persists with vehicle try changing to a different model I am currently using this pack here and Police4 works perfect no bugs. I also have changed a couple of the vehicles to make them an addon by watching Albos videos if you have got the time to spare and mess around with things. Also note when you install the EUP settings any vehicles you want certain Agencies to use follow this file path and edit the Agency.xml file in here E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr\data\custom

So you downloaded a fancy 2015 Tahoe and installed it in the police3 slot, only to find that it rolls more than your eyes when your boss is talking to you. Does your Silverado not drive like a truck should? or maybe your '15 Charger doesn't feel right. There are a lot of options to choose from when deciding which handlingid you want to use for your car. I've compiled a list of what I use for handling lines, and thus far, all have worked just fine. For some of them, such as the Silverado and Expedition, someone else might of found a better handling, and if that's the case, please comment below letting me know what you're using and I'll give it a shot.
Some people like to edit the handling.meta. This is not a requirement, the handlingid is all you need to touch if you just want the basics. Handling.meta is there for those who know a bit about modding and want to refine the handling lines to feel realistic.
For those that might be confused on what the handlingid is, it's one of the top lines in the vehicles.meta.
Here's an example:
<handlingId>police3</handlingId>
All of these will be for police vehicles, I will not be covering modded civilian cars. Also note that this topic really only applies to those who have modded their police fleet.

Some police slots are not multi-livery enabled. To enable the liveries, go in vehicles.meta in update/update.rpf/common/data/level/gta5, extract it, open it with notepad or similar software, find the lines of the slot you placed the car in and scroll down to a line with a series of 'FLAG_HAS_STUFF'. Add FLAG_HAS_LIVERY at the end of it, save, replace the original vehicles.meta file with the one you modified, done.

Sulaco76 reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.4.4 - Now available!I know it sucks waiting for updates but you have to remember that everyone's doing this for free. Besides, LSPDFR and all plugins for it work without ScriptHook V, as do things like the OpenIV mods folder.
And no! All plugins that work with LSPDFR 0.4.3 should also work with LSPDFR 0.4.4. The only reason a plugin that worked before wouldn't work now is if the authors of the plugin deliberately make it incompatible with new versions, in which case it's nothing to do with us!

Sulaco76 reacted to Beretta in LSPDFR 0.4.3 - Now available!Maybe a question that can't be answered until everything is back up to running, but what is the likelihood of these new updates breaking compatibility with existing plugins and scripts? It's sad that many of the great Albo plugins have been slowly becoming less stable with time as a result of not being updated (though no blame directed at him.) It just seems a bloody shame. I remember when LSPD:FR was first released. It was fantastic, but then some great modders came along and made it even better. It seems in the past year or so, many of them have moved onto other projects in their lives, and LSPD:FR is slowly slipping back to being a standalone mod. Don't get me wrong, it's a great mod and provides hours of entertainment, but well... ya know, once you've tasted the forbidden fruit. Kind of hard to go back. 😞

Sulaco76 reacted to Sam in New Rockstar statement on moddingAs I'm sure everyone will be aware, the single hottest topic recently, throughout the entire GTA community, has been the closure of OpenIV and the controversial statement released by Rockstar Games shortly after.
Today, Rockstar Games have released a new statement, answering Are PC Single-Player mods allowed?:
Obviously, this is fantastic news for everyone, and we're grateful to Rockstar for clarifying the situation. Furthermore, it's been incredible, just amazing, to see the support from across the gaming community for our cause.
Very quickly, let's also say a special thanks to our very own LSPDFR member @t0y, whose petition to save OpenIV amassed a mind blowing 75,000 signatures in the space of a week!
It's been truly awesome to see the outpouring of support from everyone regarding this. Thank you to everyone who has contributed towards bringing us this very welcome piece of news.
