  1. That's quite strange, seeing as no files are modified. What was the problem?

  3. No. This mod only provides you with an alternative to GTA's antialiasing (MSAA and FXAA settings). It won't change your performance in this case. You are going to need a better video card to run higher texture settings as they need a lot of VRAM and 1 GB is simply not enough.
  4. Hi guys, If you are suffering from performance problems due to MSAA (Multisampling AA), try SMAA (Subpixel Morphological AA). It's way more performance friendly and while it doesn't look as good, it's damn near close for almost no performance cost (only a bit higher than FXAA). As SMAA is not included in the game, you have to use an injector. Please note that you are using it for your own risk, as Rockstar's stance on such programs is unknown at this moment - they might classify it as a hacking tool and ban you from Online in the future. Singleplayer should be fine. This method works with both NVIDIA and AMD cards. To use SMAA, download ReShade + SweetFX 2.0 from http://reshade.me/ (click Download on the top bar) and put the ReShade64.dll from the archive to your GTA V folder (the one with GTAV.exe in it) then rename it to D3D11.dll. Then, download this and put all the files from the archive into your GTA V folder. You should get a pop-up the first time you start the game, press ok. Then, in game, you should get a message that will go away after few seconds. To turn SMAA off and on (on by default), press F12. You can of course leave the MSAA or FXAA on, but it's kinda pointless, unless you want even better AA. It might be wonky though, I haven't tested it. Also, you can opt to use SweetFX FXAA instead of GTA V FXAA. Simply go to the SweetFX folder in GTA V folder and open up SweetFX_settings.txt using Notepad or similar text editor. Instructions are inside. In my opinion, SweetFX FXAA works better. You can also use both SMAA and FXAA like me for even stronger AA - it's up to you. The only downside is that menus, HUD and text gets anti-aliased as well, making it look a bit too smooth. Nothing major though. On my i5-4690K 3.9 GHz; Asus Radeon R9 290, 4GB GDDR5; 8 GB 1333 MHz RAM and a SSD, I lost 1 - 2 FPS when compared to no AA at all (7 - 8 lost when using MSAA x2). Here is a link to an Imgur album with different AA methods used: https://imgur.com/a/pbGXK (the SMAA one shows both SMAA and SweetFX FXAA running. SMAA without FXAA is less blurry) To remove the injector, simply delete the D3D11.dll file. Cheers!
  5. Guys, I just took a look at GTA V files with OpenIV (new update) and almost evrything is in XML. Take a look at this file - dispatch.meta. It controls the wanted level system, or more specifically, what cars and what peds spawn during which wanted level and where http://pastebin.com/ZwMDKnve It seems extremely easy to configure this to, say, spawn female cops alongside male ones, spawn Buffaloes and Vapids alongside Interceptors, get sheriffs to spawn alongside LSPD in the city and even get the army to spawn at 5 stars should somebody want to. And the best part - there is more! I imagine almost every single thing in-game is configurable. Now we just have to wait for OpenIV to support editing. I'll let you know if I manage to dig up something interesting.
  6. Just came back from school to see that everything's changed! I like the new look, but it'll probably take some time for me to adjust. Great job!
  7. Well, it's finished TBH. I can't add any more non-ELS lights or change their colors. There are unmarked ELS 2nd gen Buffaloes in my LCPD, LSPD and SAHP packs.
  8. It does look great. i can't wait for it to be released and to start modding!
  9. Because world peace is sci-fi. It could happen, but not right now, in current circumstances. Also, I do agree that without something to rally against, humanity would not be able to fully unite. Right now people divide themselves into families, communities, nations. While this is a sci-fi scenario, if we were to encounter an alien race, people would probably stop seeing themselves as, for example, Americans, Chinese, Russians first and then humans, but the other way around - the identity of simply being a human would become more important than being an identity of an Englishman (once again, an example).
  10. In my opinion, world peace is only possible if there was a threat to the entire human race so great, that it would force all the governments of the world to cooperate. It could be an alien invasion; global, extremely lethal pandemic; global natural disaster etc. Also, should humanity start to colonize space, I suppose that the need of a global government would become apparent, in order to allow for more efficient space conquest, and possibly to mount an organised defense, should a threat arise.
  11. Looks great, the design is sick. Good job!
  12. Still gonna hang around here. Best of luck and congratulations to Michael, he really deserved a staff position.
  13. Damn. May the dead rest in peace. It's quite strange how common those accidents are lately. I wonder if there's a connection between them...
  14. Happy birthday seri! I would post a picture of a cake, but I man on my mobile:(
  15. MODERATOR NOTICE Topic moved to GTA IV Support Requests. Both LCPDFR and ELS require the newest version of the game.
  16. Looks great, nice to see it finally released!
  17. I have not taken those screenshots, Ringo has.
  18. What happens if you turn the lights on and off? Is this bug present on all versions (slick top, text board, traffic advisor)?
  19. Alright, I guess I owe you guys an update (if anybody's still following this lol). Yesterday I have released one of my smaller projects - the >LCPD Vapid Radius PIU. Huge thanks to Michael V for helping me with the skins. Also, does the rear red leds bug out for anybody? They seem to work fine in my game, but luky45 reported issues with them. The LCPD DROT pack is in limbo - it's almost finished, save for two cars (Pinnacle and Landstalker). I could either release it as it is right now, or try to finish it in future. The NOOSE Pack is coming along, slowly. Very slowly. School's hard and takes a lot of my time, and when I am back home I not only have a lot of homework, but also I am simply to tired to do anything, and during weekends I just want to play some games (Damn you Mass Effect! And you, Europa Universalis 4!). So don't expect updates soon. And to be honest, GTA IV modding just doesn't feel as fun and exciting as it used to be, and starts feeling more like a chore than a pleasure. Take care guys.
  20. Is anyone else having this bug?
