The files responsible for that are not yet editable.

Nope, they are not. The record for the zonetype VEHICLE_RESPONSE_ARMY_BASE is empty, to prevent them from spawning.

You know what, c13, just make me a list of weapons, attachments and probabilities and I'll make it xD I have no idea. Let me check! However, it could be a similar situation as with SWAT Grangers - no other car spawns with SWAT, probably due to the fact that the officers lean out of the car.

Right now, 10% chance that a cop with shotgun will have a carbine instead, I can bump it to 20% (don't want to make it too OP). I can give SWAT guys 50% chance of having a scope. Or should it be less? Also, I've given soldiers carbines with scopes, grips and flashlights, They also have 20% chance to spawn with a Combat MG (c13 feel free to suggest a more realistic proportion).

Dispatch.meta (and not only) editing
Already done! Shotguns, Carbines, MP5s and SWAT (but not regular cop!) pistols have them. Should I give them to regular cops too? I can also make it spawn on, for example, 50% of cops.

You are welcome to try. They are called policeold and policeold2 IIRC.

Yep, if you delete every instance of <Vehicle>police3</Vehicle>it won't spawn anymore.

Dispatch.meta (and not only) editing
Yeah, I'd love to see that too. It might be quite hard, though. Also: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/7564-better-wanted-level-system-police-spawning/ Only change from the beta version is that the unmarked Stanier can now spawn with other police cars.

Better Wanted Level System Police Spawning
- 5,825 downloads
- Version 2.2.2
Better Wanted Level System Police Spawning is a modification of the dispatch.meta file responsible for controlling what police units spawn during wanted levels. There is 20% chance of a female cop / deputy (ratio based on official LAPD statistics). Additionaly, I've added new variations to the Marines spawned at Fort Zancudo during wanted levels, Police Boats are now manned by Coast Guards and one Buzzard with marines now spawns at Fort Zancudo at 5 stars. I am not going to add the Army - I find that unrealistic. If you want the Army, check out Custo's The Sixth Star mod. -------------------------------------- Installation: Install with OpenIV to update.rpf/common/data. This will prevent you from playing online, so make backups (I'd make a backup of the entire update.rpf to be sure). Also, if there is an update, you'll have to install this again. -------------------------------------- This download is exclusive to LCPDFR.com. Feel free to edit the file, just make sure to credit me. However, don't re-upload if you have not changed anything. Made by Rockstar Games, edited by Yard1 Questions? Couldn't really find an appropriate model, so they are not included. You can add them yourself, just PM me if you need any help. The system is relatively straightforward. We have those "ZoneType" things, but I don't really know how to edit them. They are probably stored in a different file, which might be locked. If someone manages to add new ZoneTypes, then we could possibly have Park Rangers in the mountains and SAHP on the highways (when car modding becomes possible).

I don't yet know how to force the decal to spawn. However, when all files become editable, i could make Sheriff SWAT look different (different text and green uniform). Not now, though. I'll make spawn alongisde normal police cars, but it's going to be quite rare. and it's going to stay with the FIB.

Ok, I think this is final. This will prevent you from playing offline, so make backups (I'd make a backup of the entire update.rpf to be sure). Also, if there is an update, you'll have to apply it again. Nah, there are 2 choppers - one drops SWAT, and one doesn't. I replaced the one that doesn't, just to be safe. It doesn't fire it's guns anyway.

Yeah, sounds good. Sure, just let me iron out some bugs. When I am 100% done it's going straight to the downloads :) Also: http://i.imgur.com/mD7xWxK.png

https://imgur.com/4zK8IAQ I kinda don't know where to put them. Alongside normal police cars? Spawing with detective peds at higher wanted levels? Suggestions?

I guess it would be possible, but not right now. Not all files responsible for wanted levels are editable. Of course, it could be hard-coded and we won't be able to do anything.

Dispatch.meta (and not only) editing
They are going to be a bit tricky, because they are not a different model, but rather a "tuned" version of the standard Stanier. I was wrong, they are a different model. I'll see what I can do. On the other hand, I can add FIB or the Army to the wanted level system. Anybody up for this?

Dispatch.meta (and not only) editing
To clarify - I am modifying only what spawn during wanted levels. However, there are cars patrolling in unmodified game, but they are very rare. I've seen some cop cars just driving around during the night. Added sheriff pics to the album, and the Annihilator is working. Now I am trying to make Sherrif SUVs spawn with normal sheriffs during 3, 4 and 5 stars alongside Sheriff Staniers.

Dispatch.meta (and not only) editing
Hello! As you may already know, I have posted a copy of the dispatch.meta (file responsible for what spawns during wanted levels) a while back in the Modding and V thread. Thanks to the newest update of OpenIV (2.6), it's possible to edit .meta files. And here are the results: https://imgur.com/a/Pj0uJ What's done so far: Added police (Vapid Stanier) and police2 (Buffalo) spawning alongside police3 (Interceptor). Added 20% chance to spawn for female cops and sheriffs. Added different marine variations in the army base. Countryside roadblocks now feature Sheriff SUVs and sheriff peds instead of LSPD Burritos and LSPD Cops. Annihilator spawns during 5 stars (1 normal helicopter and 1 Annihilator during 5 stars) Right now I am trying to add Police Riots to spawn at 5 stars. I'll post the file when I am done. Cheers!

SMAA in GTA V using ReShade + SweetFX 2.0 - a more performace-friendly alternative to MSAA
Have you renamed the ReShade64.dll to D3D11.dll? Is the Sweet folder present in the game directory? Have you gotten a pop-up at the start of the game?

Steam Workshop now supports paid mods
Today, Steam Workshop for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been updated to allow for paid mods. A couple of high profile authors have already began uploading their mods. Some are leaving old, unsupported versions on nexusmods, while others are removing the free versions and replacing them with paid ones. Apparently, only 25% of the price goes to the modder, while the rest is shared by Valve and Bethesda. Plans to introduce this model to other popular workshop games are already underway. http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=72850&browsesort=trend§ion=readytouseitems&requiredflags[]=paiditems# http://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/33m4fk/steam_is_now_selling_mods/ http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/aboutpaidcontent What is your opinion on the situation? Is it a danger, or an opportunity for modders and modding? Is modding going to change fundamenally? Would you pay for mods?
