This CVPI is modeled after the unmarked version used by LASD captains and detectives who receive a take home car. Please do not comment with it being simple or lacking interior police equipment, or suggesting I add something. These cars are made this way, with the radio in the glove box of the vehicle. It is 100% accurate to its real life counterpart. I have added ELS files for a realistic flash pattern. The forward facing red light is activated by using the cruise mode. This vehicle is ELS V8 compatible. If you use this model, please give proper credits. I am not responsible for any damage caused to your game by this model. Please back up your files before using.
  9. I've recently been trying my hand at modding. This is the first mod I've liked enough to put in my game. I know its "Simple" but its based on a real department close by and its an almost identical match.

American Medical Response Texture Pack Release V1.0 Here is a texture pack I made for AMR. Included are textures for the Brute Ambulance, Ford E450 Ambulance and Ford Explorer. AMR is the largest private ambulance company in the world, and I'm sure they are the EMS provider for many of the people on this site. They have a generic AMR livery, however most of their local operations make subtle changes to it. I have included most of the Southern California versions (LA County, San Diego County and generic livery). I also included the new Las Vegas version, just for fun. If you want me to make a specific AMR livery for your local operation, PM me. I also decided to make the supervisor model just for fun. I have included ELS textures to make the Las Vegas version's lights red/blue, to add a more realistic feel. I have also done the same thing to convert the Ford Explorer from red/blue to all red. The textures in the pictures on some of the Brute ambulances are slightly off, I fixed this before the final release. Directions on installation as well as vehicle model links can be found in the read me. I hope you enjoy using them as much as I did making them! -GeorgeJetSam
  10. The textures came out fuzzy...it must have been the transfer, I'll release them if anyone wants to fix it...
  11. I'm sure I'm not the only one on here who has used/tried the ALEIR CAD system. I recently stumbled upon it and I downloaded it and followed all of the directions on the website as far as how to install it, and I can open it to the login page. My problem is that when I put in a user name in the user section, and then try to put in a password, I get a "Runtime error" and the program closes... Anyone know how I could fix this?
  12. *DISCLAIMER* not trying to sound like a jerk here.... If you don't have a need for flex cuffs, you definitely don't have a need to be carrying three pairs of cuffs on your belt.
  13. Its a small bag that I carry in the front seat of my radio car. Its a pretty common practice at least for LEO's on the west coast. Its got a few extra pistol/rifle mags, and extra slug rounds for my shotgun, as well as a few things like flex cuffs and a HOBBLE. Stuff I may need if I get in a hairy situation and don't have a lot of time to react. It looks like this:
  14. Beat me to it...haha. I check all my games here, sometimes just for fun.
  15. I know I'm a little late to the party, but as a former Explorer and CSO, and a current LEO, I would definitely say get the Accumold. You don't want more than two cuffs on you at once, the belt is gonna get heavy and you don't need back problems later in life or problems catching some guy if you're in a foot pursuit. Also, if you need more than two sets of cuffs, its probably best to wait until you have at least one other person with you before you do ANY cuffing, and they will be bringing cuffs. I also carry several sets of plastic zip-tie style cuffs in my "bail out" bag, which could be used in situations where I need more, they are readily accessible and not weighing you down. Lastly, I get that the keeper style ones look pretty cool, but if you have them hanging down into your back pocket, its just going to take you longer to get to them when you need them, which may be the difference between getting into a fight or being able to control someone before they decide to act. The keeper ones will also rattle around and you won't be quite as sneaky, which may come in handy if you plan on being a cop at some point. Just my two cents worth.... *SIDE NOTE* For those of you wondering about exactly what an explorer can/can't do...it varies WIDELY by which state and even which department you are an explorer for. I was regularly cuffing as an explorer, and occasionally doing more than that, while some departments aren't even allowed to get out on traffic stops.
  16. This is the showroom, you're looking for the requests/suggestions forum page.
  17. So I finished the fine tuning of all of the textures. I also decided to make a supervisor model, just to round things off. There isn't a good F-150 with a shell released, so I wasn't able to make the LA County supervisor truck, so I decided to make the new Ford Explorer version that they're using on the east coast...I think it came out pretty well. Here's the whole set, minus the Las Vegas Version. I'm currently playing with an LA pack, and I like to keep it realistic, so I didn't put that one in my game. The Speedo version will be released on OfficerLuka130's upcoming ambulance. Do you think I should release the ford version? and how about the supervisor explorer? I probably will if there is enough interest.
  18. I decided to make a few AMR textures, since there aren't very many accurate ones out there, most had colors off, or the rear was the older version and the front was not... I worked most of the day and ended up with several different versions: -Oldschool AMR, San Diego, Los Angeles County ALS and BLS, Las Vegas and a generic version. I also modeled them for both the Ford E-450 and Speedo ambulance models. Oldschool: LA County (ALS on the left, BLS on the right): Las Vegas: Generic:
