  3. Yeah I am a GAD. But do I have a problem with it? Absolutely not. Because by using the unlocked parts, I can develop my skills and begin to modify them into my own parts. No one forces you to look at the downloads section.Yeah it is understandable that files are released that are similar. There are a handful of police interceptors in the world, and few are available to the community so it makes sense that vehicles are similar. I totally see where you are coming from in the sense of not uploading every file created as I remember when I first joined the community on GPM it was only a handful of people modding. But at the same time it is not very hard to throw on the filter and just scroll through the files ignoring the ones that are the same. I, personally, release CVPI's because I love them. They are by far my favorite police interceptor. Do me a favor and point me in the direction of another Boston PD crown vic other than mine, a few unreleased ones, and this WIP. Because to my knowledge there are only skins. Lastly, I made it pretty clear that that is not the case. I am more than happy to take reviews that are not pleasing. However, I am not going to change what I am doing because someone does not like the way the community as a whole is heading. If someone gives me a review and is willing to assist me or at least gives minimal details to support his review, I will take it to the fullest. The argument on the GAD thing and the direction of the community needs to stop. Make a new thread or something but everyone(including me) needs to stop enabling eachother in this argument on this thread. There are 30 something replies and very few pertain to the OP. This is my last reply on this thread. If you want to further this discussion PM me please dont add another off topic post to this thread.
  4. Nice work on your cvpi pack. Only thing I am going to say is that IMO my CVPI is not inaccurate. Every department has multiple variations of their units. I chose to go with the Liberty version. yeah I did not color the lightbar glass, but at the time I did not possess the skill to use PFC's liberty with mapped glass(I would have needed to map it). Other than the glass color, the vehicle, in mine and several people who I PM'd that live in the region's opinions, the model has a realistic lighting setup. If you would like to see my full boston pd cvpi pack (with the legend and the unmarked one)feel free to PM me. I will not go any further than that, this thread is about the OP not me or my mods, I however will not stand by while people call my shit inaccurate when it is a different rendition of the vehicle: Again not an issue with you making these cars, just I don't feel it is justified to claim my vehicle is inaccurate when it looks pretty close to the above pictures. Also, I think it is unfair by calling modders GAD modders, as we all started with unlocked parts and many are still using them. It should not be a bad thing that someone is using unlocked parts, the quality of the mod should be based on how they use the parts they have. In my opinion, a GAD title should be given out when someone has been around for a while and has yet to attempt to scratch make or convert a file. All I ask is that everyone is fair to the OP. How would you feel if you tried to show something off and the first thing that is said is "someone already made this" or "another GAD"? Sure I made a vehicle similar to this, but there are tons of cvpis out there, tons of chargers impalas etc. It is not fair for everyone to spew their opinions about the community on this guy's thread. Nor is it fair to give him shit for showing something off. So with this post I ask that everyone STOPS with comparing my mod to his WIP. If you truly have something to say feel free to PM me about it. Just stop taking this guy's thread and turning it into a shit show. OP, people are going to give you mixed reviews ALL THE TIME. It is your responsibility to distinguish what is just pure nonsense and what is not. People will say things like it sucks, its a repeat etc...But the reviews that count are the ones that tell you HOW to improve. If someone told me it sucked and that was all, I would totally write them off, because I have had plenty of RL experiences where people try to tear me down. But when I get someone who is experienced who takes the time out of their day to tell me my mod sucks, and then continues to say how I can make it less sucky or how to improve my own skills, that is something I will take to heart. You will always have people who will be an ass for no reason, or just immediately write you off because of the influx in modders, you just need to distinguish between the (for lack of a better word) "haters" and the veterans who are willing to see the potential in you. I am in no way a modeler, I am the basic modder. I have minimal experience of a few months, and mod because I enjoy it. I, like visi, make cars because of the fact people like them. The PM's and comments etc are the reason why I mod, not the discouragement I may receive. For every blow to the stomach, you get two willing hands to help yah up :) (Source:Personal experience within the community)
  5. To anyone in the San Francisco area or who knows someone or has pictures of anything: I need a few SFPD videos or pictures of their light setup. I have plenty of pics of the cars but not many of the cars with lights on. I have spent several hours trying to find some good videos but the results have been fairly disappointing. I will continue to look for videos but in order to get the things done I would like to(no teasers yet) I need some more information!!!! Thanks to anyone who contributes. The smallest pic or video will help!! Beckugan1
  6. Theres a difference between preference and realism. This light bar is not unrealistic: Placement of lights is different but it is the same setup
  7. Thanks guys!! Means a lot. Got a few more coming this week!!!

  8. Let me know what y'all think. Now released: See spoiler for more pics.
  9. There were several cosmetic changes to the outside besides simple PI adjustements to speed etc... The exhaust is much different than the civi. Wheels/rims are different and the headlights are also slightly changed.
  10. Interesting. It looks to be the civilian version so I guess it will give us all a good opportunity to see who has the skill/ambition to convert it into a PI and who just releases a "cop car" using a civilian model.
  11. Nice visi! Only thing I would say is either edit the model or skin on the back of the cvpi. The text is cut off due to the trim of the vehicle. So that is the only part that caught my eye. Nice job. 5/5!
  12. It's basic but cool. I like it! Got my download!!
  13. What state is brown county cvpi!
  14. Honestly, download Paint.Net, use the rectangle select mode. Ctrl C then Ctrl V and move it over the red :D
  15. Definitely your els. Many people tested this for me and I didn't receive a bug report like that
