  1. I'm in the same boat as you but I already gave up, I still have a full backup of an old version on another drive but I tried everything to get it to run with the launcher which is mandatory to play GTA now, because the update adds a new exe called ''PlayGTA.exe'' If steam doesnt find that it will attempt to validate your files and screw up your install completely. This is the noose for older GTA V versions.. sadly I don't have the motivation anymore to completely reinstall all the mods because any further update to GTA will probably be forced, meaning you can never play old versions as the launcher will detect that (I presume). Pretty shit day..
  2. I tried everything in my power to do this as well, replaced exe's. Tried reverting certain stuff, and updating others...to no avail.. I'm pissed because my favorite install is simply done for. I have to do a complete reinstall and now with the fact you CANNOT go back versions because the launcher is a form a DRM you are fucked with every update to gta. Until this all gets sorted I'm done with modding and playing GTA. Really pissed about it as well.
  3. I'm seriously considering turning my legit copy into a ''not legit'' copy because this new launcher will mean that every little patch or update will completely screw over your modded install. In addition to all the other bullshit its gonna cause. Rockstar might have finally achieved to silently kill modding.
  4. I think you are approaching this too personally. Not everyone can be as tough skinned as you, or have the energy to put up with it. Also, Bejoljo is pretty much the biggest modder on this platform right now, the amount of complaints, nasty private messages, shitty reviews are much more likely to happen to him. It's obvious he uses modding as an outlet, a hobby, to have fun and make awesome stuff for a community that loves playing LSPDFR. But once that community starts biting back, even just a tiny bit, it takes the fun out of modding quickly. And yeah.. you might say ''fuck those complainers, I don't care'' but not everyone can put up with that especially when its a hobby and not a job. Tons of people struggle with this. I don't think its fair to compare him to a ''kid not getting his way''.
  5. Oh I didn't see this, so he is taking a break due to some negative stuff. I understand, biggest reason modders leave or take a break is due to the constant nagging from users to ''do this/do that''. Translated from his profile page it comes down to feeling underappreciated and undervalued. Also the fact that brand new users can leave reviews is bothering him, he wishes people only with a good reputation to be able to review. Seen many modders collapse due to this, hopefully he has the energy to still pick things back up, just sad that people can be so demanding and mean when someone is obviously putting his heart and soul into something...for free. You could get 10 comments about how people love your mod and 1 comment thats negative and you'll forget all about the other positive ones, it sucks. ~~~~~~ Edit: He is now hosting his mods on his own website; https://bejoijo256.wixsite.com/bejoijo ~~~~~~
  6. Same happened a while ago, then he was just updating all his mods. Hopefully its the same. Sadly we won't know unless Bejoljo says it himself. Hopefully he's not gone for good, his mods are essential to extending the playtime/enjoyment of lspdfr. Posting on forums won't get you answer though, just like last time the website owners and moderators also don't know the specifics.
  7. No, not allowed, asked before many times. Just install plugins one by one, and so avoid messing up installs.
  8. Thank you that is fantastic to hear. Even though I do not mean to make it sound like I don't love the feature, I would keep it if it didn't have the impact it has on my game. But I very much appreciate you allowing your users to configure their game to their liking and needs. 👍
  9. Hm alright, thanks. Will it be a possibility in the future?
  10. So I went ahead and tested it, the settings now seem to be identical ingame and in the ini seen here; But, the faketrafficstop ambient event still happened in my short session, I attached the ragepluginhook log where you can see the event initiate at line 1137. I assumed that with the ini settings seen above all random world events would be disabled right? But apparently this slips through. I could notice it because my game dips in fps when the event is started. Hope this helps. RagePluginHook.log
  11. Thanks for the response! I will definitely report back. Is it fine it will be on 0.4.2? Because I don't have the time to do a full reinstall at the moment for the new update.
  12. cant do this unless vehicle is unlocked, free permissions and you have modding experience.
  13. My favorite has always been this one: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/vehicle-handling-v Its older and doesn't have all the DLC anymore but its closets to GTA IV, it gives cars a real feeling of weight and power.
  14. Nice mod! Certainly nice for people getting started with vocal dispatch and realism. I already have my own custom 10 code setup but never thought of uploading it. This looks nice though, well done.
  15. This sounds really cool and would ''connect'' the LSPDFR world a lot more. But at the moment I don't think it will be interesting after a couple of minutes due to the lack of variables in the activity that you see. There's about 5 things right now, someone going on duty, getting killed, accepting a callout and performing a traffic stop, and reporting crime. It's probably a lot more complex to allow to show more variables, like panic buttons being pressed, officers involved in a high speed chase, reported shootouts, vehicle crashes.. and so forth. And with that comes the problem of the ''scanner'' becoming even more ''chatty'' like LMS said. As of now I simply think its too barebones for it to add any value to the core lspdfr experience. You could always have the activity feed on your phone or 2nd monitor if you really want to see it.
  16. Basically as you can see the settings shown, in particular the worldevents do not line up with the settings in the ini file. But I still have ambient spawning cops, lspdfr AI traffic stops and such even though I set them to be disabled in the ini... If anyone can show any insight in how to get this to work I would be very grateful (and my fps as well) Does the ini file have too many settings? Is there a maximum? I have no idea...
Every update made massive improvements, thank you, from the video it sounds great already, looking forward to hearing it ingame!!
  17. I'm stupid lol, just because it the title read LAPD I skipped over it.
  18. This sounds amazing, I see you mention this being used in Florida? Does FPH also use this? Because it sounds a lot different than what I hear this video (very loud, turn speakers down) https://youtu.be/cObHTZJbywk?t=961 I don't think its the same right? If so, would you..expert of sirens, know what siren that is? 🙂 Also, sidenote, when using your vehicles.aoc, you also get new tire screech sound effects 😛
  19. You are AMAZING! Releasing so many quality sirens!!!
  20. Thank you for another great update, looking forward to playing! I do hope you improve the ability to get callouts in the county, a lot of sketchy backlots there instead of alleyways, could certainly see some type of callout(s) to spawn in those places. But I see you mentioned it will be improved in the future so I'm looking forward to it 🙂
  21. Yes, go edit your agency.xml and change the freemode models to the default cop models This part: .
  22. No, the authors that had this model removed their mods and deleted their accounts as far as I know, this car does not exists on LSPDFR. Best bet is finding a car modder that is either willing to attempt to make it for free or be paid for it.
