The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car Thread
Any police-spec Maverick is awesome in my book! Those photos are jaw-droppingly fantastic, Strike. I love the 'lightbar' setup of that LA City Fire Department van in the second to last photo.

Good eye, and that is correct! Thanks for the assist, TheGTAMitch. --- LtFlash, that photo rocks! This thread has already given me too many desktop backgrounds. xD

I was waiting for someone to post SCMODS, Ringo. xD The Willard and Sabre are somewhat similar to the Diplomat and Fox Body 'Stang, but they look more like these IMO.

New Whelen Lightbar!
That's not bad at all, though the new Federal Signal Navigator lightbars execute the concept a bit better IMO. They have actual rotating pods in them with LEDs as opposed to just a simulated effect. The best of both worlds, but it would be even better if they dropped those Navigator/Vision-SLR styled rotators into an Aerodynic chassis!

Lancia Fulvia HF
I can sort of understand the stanced look on the Beetle [though of course the factory look makes more sense], but this is just a bit too odd for me. I wonder how this would go over speed bumps or traverse potholes, ha.

The NYPD just posted this image to Facebook. It's a '72 Fury with a Signal Stat 374 Beacon and a Federal 660 Pulsator on top if I'm not mistaken.

The old Jersey City paintjob is almost reminiscent of the old NY State Police. -- That Seattle livery is beautiful, Ringo. It looks perfect on that Diplomat and Satellite. I think it looks better than the modern livery, though I do wonder how the modern livery would look on a classic car.

That's pretty awesome, Gatekeeper. I think that the HWY cars got the larger engine/carburetor package, but I'm not sure.

At this point I believe that the one with the green/black/white livery is just for show. All of the new Tauruses that I've seen on the streets have retained the white and blue decal livery. Perhaps one day it will be widespread once more. :)

Thank you, Ringo! I now have another desktop background. The FHP Gran Fury with the Federal CJ84 beacon on top is now one of my favorites as well. I also love the LTD police cars from Kentucky, my favorite being the one with the vertical grille. [EDIT: Thanks for clearing that up, Lt.Flash. I guess I need to read more carefully, haha.] Also, those photos of the San Diego County Sheriff Caprice and LTD Crown Victoria were great!

That's a Ford Taurus police interceptor using the green/black/white paint scheme that the NYPD used up until 1973. This photo came from Commissioner Bratton's Twitter page. Pretty awesome if I do say so myself, but I do love the light blue and white of 1973-1996ish. Everything old is new again. — Commissioner Bratton (@CommissBratton)

LtFlash, that video practically brought a tear to my eye. That was an amazing catch for sure, and kudos to that cameraman in the right place at the right time! The Signal Stat 374 Beacon on its higher base [with the red/amber look of the 1960s as opposed to the red/white of the 1970s] is really good looking in action, that's for sure.

Here's a good one. This song is great, and its video is hilarious. The song starts at 0:30, and a beautiful classic police car shows up at 1:14, but I won't spoil the make/model or lightbar. :)

A good comedy film ?
Guardians of the Galaxy is a good candidate. Though it is primarily an action film, the movie is peppered with great jokes and several laugh-out-loud moments. You know that when the entire audience in the theater laughs at a joke, the movie has done good.
