  1. Hey, just checked this topic again now. All of that is so crazy! You might be interested to see this listing from late 2018. https://www.auctionsinternational.com/auction/16233/item/1985-chevrolet-caprice-sedan-99961 Seems to have been in service right up until it was sold. This absolutely has to take the cake for the oldest anywhere. As for the oldest now, there are at least three Caprices still around in Illinois at least in various roles. 1. Last I checked, McHenry County still has one. 2. There's a whale Caprice still in Waterman. (Taken 2019) 3. Niles also has one Caprice left, in public works service. There's a box Crown Vic (a 1991, more specifically) in Tiburon, California. https://www.google.com/maps/@37.8819605,-122.4662822,3a,25.6y,179.41h,69.57t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sNydl3FUwcgfRziUm-TwQaw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192 The paint is pretty trashed, but is otherwise in good shape. It's weird, because they don't seem underfunded. They have new Chargers and Tauruses, so I'm not sure what the deal is with this. It can't be a show car if they're leaving it out in the elements. It's gotta be some sort of traffic unit. Could be like a chief's car as well. There's a Caprice still in Nassau County, NY as well. This is still in service. Lastly, there's an Aero Crown Vic with the San Francisco Sheriff's Department.

    Fly high

Is that a 1988-1991 Ford Crown Victoria in the very back?
  5. I always hated these Ford Exploders. They should have kept the Crown Vic. But really, all cars are gonna have one major problem or another. Remember when those Crown Victorias had the problem with the fuel tank in rear end collisions?
  6. I don't know if this will help, but I'm pretty sure they use Thud Medium.
  7. I never really noticed it before, but no, not really. They're still a bit brighter than this, though. Is there a setting in ELS I can change or something?
  8. I have this same problem. Like the lightbar still has lights, but they're just really dim.
  9. I've been working on this for a little while, and I still have a few things to add before I'm finished. This is my first skin/mod, and I'm trying to make it as detailed as possible. Does this look decent or not?
  10. I've been working on this for a little while, and I still have a few things to add before I'm finished. This is my first skin/mod, and I'm trying to make it as detailed as possible. Does this look decent or not? Sorry, I accidentally posted in the GTA IV section. This is for GTA V.
Outstanding model, but why is it Policeold2?
  11. UPDATE: I just stopped by my local PD to see exactly what's in service. Here's what I found: Oldest marked patrol car: 2013 Ford Explorer Oldest unmarked patrol car: mid-2000s Crown Victoria Oldest municipal vehicle: 2001-ish Dodge Intrepid Police Interceptor Oldest vehicle: 1992-1996 Ford E-350 Traffic Control van
Very stable, first set of additional callouts that I've found that actually work. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing more callouts in the future.
  12. Yeah, I was referring to patrol cars. The CPD has tons of squadrols from the 90's and 80's. Of course boats, planes, squadrols and vans will be in service for longer, as they don't patrol on a daily basis.
No center console or laptop, but other than that, good job!
  13. I was talking to my cousin today (who is a CPD officer) and having recently bought a crown Victoria, he commended me on my choice, and said there aren't many left in the CPD. Which brought me to the question: what is the oldest police/fire vehicle you have seen in service recently? I found this picture, taken in Oct. 2016. These cars were for police training, but never used. Here is the original article: http://hornet.fullcoll.edu/three-reminders-of-a-failed-fullerton-college-police-academy/ Not sure of the years of these cars, but the one on the right looks the oldest. Maybe 2002-ish? I don't really know the years of CVPI's very well, sorry. In person, the oldest I have seen is a newer CVPI. What's the oldest you have seen?
