  1. As far as I'm aware, 0.90b is currently resting with the rest of the dead mods of IV, I've never played it myself but from what I gather it lacks most features and is most likely buggy. Take a look at my Installation tutorial. It was made at the time of 0.91 but the same process applies to 0.95
  2. Adding on from what Break mentioned about the radio dispatcher. This has been discussed many times before, it's simply not worth it. Firstly, you'd most likely have to hire somebody to record thousands of lines of dialogue, I highly doubt somebody would do all that for free. Secondly, people have suggested that idea for adding more dialogue for the officers you play as, again, you'd need to hire someone to say all the new lines and, being careful what I say here to avoid causing offence, they'd have to be from the same ethnic background as the officer they'll voice to keep the realism level at a standard level. As far as the "battle of the police mods" goes, I'll pick LCPDFR over PPM any day, from what I've seen in video's of PPM, you are fined for breaking traffic laws even when responding code 3. That is unrealistic in my books, an officer is exempt from most traffic laws when in a code 3 situation, the only exceptions are driving against oncoming traffic.
  3. Unfortunately not, I searched high and low for it. It was by chance that Nicolai decided to give it to me.
  4. Prehaps, but that number would drop drastically if the developers started charging for it. There's no need for payware. Let's take FSX for example, earlier I wanted to download a FA 18 Super Hornet so I could get to places quicker, there was only one model made for the game and you had to pay $40 for it. Wasn't even made by Microsoft. Payware is a bad road to go down, not to mention Sam and Jay would have to dedicate almost every waking minute to it to add more features etc. There's simply not enough features to consider the mod a full game, besides, Sam and Jay have their own life's.. I presume.

  6. I think it's a Whelen Alpha 12R .. Excluding the Airhorn.
  7. Companies mass produced a game when it's first released, this is to cover not only the hundreds upon thousands of stock that goes to stores, but the returns and replacement of faulty discs. Although I found my copy in a local GAME store, hidden among the other less known PC titles.
  8. For Siren, I'm personally using one that Nicolai sent me, one that.. no matter what he says, the metropolitan police use. Absolutely love it, even exported it and used it on Emergency 4 EDIT: I'll try and get the name of it, can't remember it at the moment.
  9. You may post your new videos on THIS THREAD ONLY . Do not create another thread just to promote a new video. We recently had a member who performed such actions, ignoring the multiple warnings we gave him, we really don't want to have to deal with it again. All I'm saying is, if you upload a new video and want to showcase it, just post it in a reply to this thread. On topic, Good video. Reminds me I should fix my GTA pronto and get another game organized for the official group.

Contray to what Sam said about the rating and R* logo, I still think it's awesome. Especially the game case. Nice work.
  12. Have you updated the game to the latest patch? Ran the diagnostic's tool? Ran as an Administrator? Saved while on-duty?
  13. I'm waiting for the day somebody port's or re-creates the police vehicle's from SA in IV.. The actual models, although the skins could work well on the default cruiser's if placed correctly.
  14. By the looks of the trailer, it's a high probability it's running on an updated version of the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (RAGE)
  15. First Person Mod includes the driving perspective.
  16. Correct, mine has an i5. Processor: Intel Core i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz (4 CPUs) GPU: ATI Radeon HD 6490M (Approx. Total Memory: 3.8GB - 1gb dedicated) RAM: 6GB Like I said, purely for college work. But it run's games like IV perfectly well on high settings, providing I keep it cooled.
  17. Don't have it I'm afraid. One question I've always wondered, Say I've got a mod installed.. let's say a car.. other members can still see it without installing it right? I'm only asking because one mod description said "be fair to other players and keep it off the runways"
  18. Wrong.. Yes it's possible, but somebody would have to create a vast section of LA in some sort of map making program, they'd then need to port it into GTA IV and then add ped paths and vehicles paths. IMO, not worth the time and hassle.
  19. Up your brightness and contrast in the display settings.. Simple alternative if you can't sort out the file issue
  20. Damn you Sharp! I'm addicted to the game again! And JAM, please upload the video
  21. Looks just like that apart from mines in Matt Black HP Pavillion DV7. I Can't remember the exact model but I'll look for it later
  22. You know the drill. Do what JAM said before posting again Closing.
  23. I purchased a powerful HP laptop for college a few months ago, works like a dream and can run GTA IV on high settings. It will last long if you treat it with care.. I do this; Keep it on a cooling pad with three fans underneath to keep it cool I know the hardware limit's so I don't push it further than it can handle Clean out any collective dust once a month Mines still running strong, had it since september
  24. Exactly what I thought.
  25. I may have to fire it up again. I never ventured online because everyone was so "pro" and I kinda crashed into a convoy once when trying to land..
