I know how the DMCA process works, having received at least 5 in the past for content on my old website. All of which, I spoke to my lawyer who said that there was no real grounds to remove the content and that it wouldn't be worth attempting to take to court over. Okay, so I get your point about games, yes, but creating a game is much different to creating textures which aren't used for profit, nor do they form the base of a product. I won't believe that Ferrari have issued DMCA requests on a vehicle skin till I see it myself.

If they didn't care, they wouldn't produce it in the first place. They need to at least cover their costs, to ensure that they don't make a loss, and since business's nowadays are purely for making money, they wouldn't bother producing a product if they didn't care about the sales.

I must admit, I laughed when I watch them take everything Microsoft did, and turn it into marketing for their own console. I agree that Sony was very influential in making them change their restrictions, but I still feel that the public had an even bigger part, since they are the ones that buy the console in the end. Sony just used the public's opinion against Microsoft.

It seems that somebody over at Microsoft has had a change of heart. They've removed the 24 hour online check ins, as well as the restrictions on sharing/buying and selling games.

Not really, there's no rank structure in LCPDFR so it wouldn't matter. @OP, the whole aggressiveness of the AI isn't something that can be adjusted easily. It's something the dev's are constantly working on, and is one of their main objectives. If you've played the earlier versions of LCPDFR or PPM for that matter, you'd see that the AI is much improved in comparison to what it was.

Sure, they may have a legal ownership over certain designs, but that still doesn't make it worth pursuing somebody who has copied it for a game. They can't claim damages because they aren't taking any profit, and the court fee's would well outweigh anything that the PD would gain by having the file taken down. As for the whole NYPD vs Ferrari + Porche crap. I have no idea what you're talking about. A ferrari cop car texture would not attract anymore attention than that of a NYPD impala whatsoever, nor would a lawyer choose to have a ferrari texture removed over an impala.

Not all bikers think they own the road, some are stupid, sure, but there are many that are careful riders. It's due to rash decisions made by drivers when they see motorcyclists or their lack of concentration that accidents are caused. Yes, make a copy of the .png and rename it to something else. Then import both the .pngs and then import the file. Open the material editor, and change the texture to the one with the new name, and then export the file. Then, you can import the newly named texture, and then import the new part.

Are you running the game as an administrator? (Right click, run as admin)

Open the part separately and edit the material to look for the same file but with a different name. Re-export the part and add it to the car.

We looked into this for my clan however iv-mp doesn't allow client side scripts, which means LCPDFR wouldn't work. All the scripts are server side and written in squirrel.

In that case, you need to delete your game save and start again. This will fix the problem.
