PC Rebooting Under Graphical Stress
Okay, so I've just found something interesting. I've downloaded OCCT (A stress tester) that has options to test the GPU and the PSU seperately. Upon launching the GPU test, it runs with no problems at all for over 5 mins until I manually chose to end it. However, the PSU test causes the PC to reboot as soon as I click the start button. This also makes sense, the PSU forcing the PC to restart would mean that there would be no logs.......

But at the bottom of the report there are the following entries: Which is displayed at 16/12/2013 17:59:08 The reboot error says The date is after the event that shows the startup, meaning it occurred afterwards and the events prior to the shutdown error are indeed the ones that happened before the reboot.

Okay, try this one: https://www.mediafire.com/?92q6v5v1iw75qee Thanks Nah, never ever had to use one and I don't plan on it. If I can't find a solution, I'll RMA the card instead.

Uh huh. It's a new installation on a new hard drive. The only programs are my graphical drivers and Furmark.

PC Rebooting Under Graphical Stress
I know, I just haven't been able to get my hands on a spare one till now. I tested the voltages using my multimeter and they all seem normal. I will do. I'm using windows 7 though. Thanks, I appreciate it. EDIT: Nah, I build it myself, I'm fairly experienced and I've already checked all the parts are connected properly.

PC Rebooting Under Graphical Stress
I realise that, but the GTX 560Ti uses 170W under max load. And a 500W PSU is recommended. My PSU is of a good brand, and is 100W over the minimum recommendation. I appreciate your help though. I'm gonna borrow my friends spare 500W PSU and try it with that when I see him later this week, If the problem still persists, I'll RMA the card I think.

PC Rebooting Under Graphical Stress
I've got a GTX 560Ti, definitely sufficient enough to at least start a benchmark. As I've already said, I've re-installed the latest drivers to no avail.

PC Rebooting Under Graphical Stress
I checked the files using sfc /scannow yesterday with no problems. I re-installed windows on a blank hard drive I had lying around and the problem persists when attempting a benchmark with furnark. However, I've downloaded the heaven benchmark, and that works just fine. It reaches 100fps on ultra, and the temperature of my gpu reaches about 65 degrees, but no shutdown. This is weird. It shuts down with GTA and furnark, but not with the heaven benchmark or heavyload benchmark.

Thanks, I appreciate it. May install on a new hard drive and go from there. Also, just tested my RAM, all fine there.

PC Rebooting Under Graphical Stress
Uh huh, I've removed my graphics card, cleaned it up the best I could, however there's still a little dust that I can't get too. Besides, the temps are fine, and the reboots aren't spontaneous, so I kind of ruled that out a long time ago.

PC Rebooting Under Graphical Stress
Not that I can see. It just shows "The previous system shutdown at 22:17:06 on 15/12/2013 was unexpected." and "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." I've saved the reports in case you would like to see them yourself, that way you can read all the crap that I don't understand lol. It's an actual event log file: https://www.mediafire.com/?p0z60ilsfzgdd62 I really appreciate your help. -Tom

PC Rebooting Under Graphical Stress
I've never had to turn to anyone for help when it comes to computers, since I consider myself to be very experienced, but this problem has really got my scratching my head. If anyone could help me out with some advice, I'd be truly grateful. My current build is around 2 years old. All the parts were brand new at the time. - GTX 560Ti Twin Frozr II 1GB - Corsair 600W Builder Series PSU - AMD phenom ii x4 960t black edition (Nothing OC'd all stock) Recently, I've been unable to apply any graphical stress whatsoever to my PC. As soon as I begin driving during the first mission on GTA, my PC reboots without any error shown on screen. I am also unable to begin a test with FurMark. As soon as I press GO, the PC reboots. However, I have tried testing both the CPU and the GPU at the same time using "heavyload" with no problem at all. Does this software test the GPU in a different way or something? Things I've tested/checked/tried Checked Temperatures - All fine Checked hardware + connections - All fine Cleaned hardware - Still problem persists Re-installed drivers - All fine Disabling reboot on system failure - Still restarts, no error shown Tested CPU - Works fine during 100% load Re-installed windows with just the graphics drivers and Furmark - Problem still persists Any ideas?

Help Me...
It all depends on what asi loader is being used. The xliveless loader uses that folder to save the user's game instead.

14 Year Old Boy Poses As A Chicago Pd Officer For An Entire Shift.
If I'm honest, I find this story both hilarious and rather scary at the same time. Imagine what havoc could be caused by a real criminal who wants to pose as a police officer.

Winamp Shutting Down
If I'm honest, I've always preferred VLC as my player for any type of media. Can play most codecs that Windows Movie Player can't, without having to download any additional files, and also has some nice features to clean up broken or damaged files.

The Knockout Game
Fair enough, I see your point and am inclined to agree with you. After researching the "game" further, I realised that I could find no footage, or evidence of the attackers being white. Your above statement seems to be accusing me of calling you racist. Either that or you're suggesting that I'm about to. Would you mind explaining your point behind this?
-
The Knockout Game
Dude, quit associating black teens as the criminals. It's racist. Anyone could play this "game". You could have easily just said: "it involved somebody running up behind another and hitting them from the back of the head". There was no need to specify a race. I'm not black myself, but I still find this incredibly offensive. Please stop.

Arming Tsa Officers Yes Or No?
Your choice of grammar and immature attitude just proves that the above statement is probably the best you've given in a long time. I'm glad that someone sees my perspective. You have a nice day now :)

Arming Tsa Officers Yes Or No?
If I recall correctly, Slimory himself brought in his own profession. all I did was expand and comment upon that The poll prefix is automatically added by the forum software. The whole point of forums are to discuss things. If you don't want people to discuss what you've written in your post, then you shouldn't have written it in the first place. I'm not butthurt at all, i'm just stating my points and countering yours. There is no argument here.

I don't see why this need to move to a PM, since it's a public discussion.... But it's fine by me.
