Use the less overtaking mod. This makes other cars less likely to go around your car if your in the way, instead they just wait until you move.

First download speedfan (http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php). Use this to measure your temperatures when IDLE, i.e with nothing running. Now download Prime95 (http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft/). Use this to stress your CPU which will make it hot. After a few minutes of this running, take the temperatures again. Post both the IDLE and MAX temperatures.

Have you tried a stress test alongside a temperature monitoring piece of software. It could be your CPU overheating. My brother had this problem once.

If you open it in windows live movie maker and then save as a WMV and select high quality when saving it will usually keep a high quality whilst compressing. Or use VirtualDub

Go into your GTA root directory, typically "C:Program FilesRockstar GamesGrand theft auto IV" Look for both "DSOUND.dll" and/or "XLIVE.dll". Is there both? If so remove one of them, doesn't matter which.

I have the GTX 560Ti, Definitely get the 560 over the 450 or 550. It's a massive performance improvement.

Yeah, I don't use ENB purely because of its instability and high resource usage....

This has been discussed before and most people are against it as it is very rare in real life as it could cause serious injuries and this mod is about realism.
