It makes me laugh to read your logic and reasoning. You are a typical Non-American who generalizes that ALL Americans have the intent to go fucking shoot somebody until they run out of bullets. If you would so kindly go compare the rate of crime in Vermont, to the rate of crime in all of Canada, I guarantee you it is lower. Because Vermont has the loosest gun laws in the country.
This is straight from a news article about crime rates:
"In 2011 there were 15,311 crimes reported in Vermont, including eight murders."
In a WHOLE year, there were only eight murders.
This is because there is an understood sense of "I can kill you very easily" in Vermont, and I don't know about you, but if I know somebody is thinking that, I am sure as hell not going to attack/mug them.
Of all of those crimes, only 5.4% were violent. And that is thanks to their right to bear arms.
