Parachutes usually indicates you're on the wrong version. This is for the public version of EUP. So if you download them here, it should work. It seems to be an ASI issue. Try downloading the manual version of LCPDFR 1.1 old rar, and drag the files into your directory. Also, if you use DSound, make sure XLive isn't installed at the same time. As you mentioned, you installed Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 already, so that should fix most of the issues you're experiencing. I recently found a fix for the cloud pixelation and this is a simple solution. This occurs for me in overcast/cloudy weather, but it also works for those who use single-player Graphical Modifications such as ENB/ReShade. In GTA 5's graphic settings, change "Post FX" to high. This also works in FiveM as well. For Depth of Field users, this, unfortunately, disables DoF, but with ReShade you may create screenshots or videos with DoF with effects such as DoF far and near. Inside the plugins folder, you need to create a folder named LSPDFR. Then place all files except for the LSPD First Response files into that new folder. For future reference, in the plugins folder, plugins that are coded for Rage Plugin Hook are to be installed there. When you launch RPH click the gear icon, and toggle those plugins to run at launch.

I put the name of the department along side my vehicle name in my titles. I currently use the LSPD vehicles because I don't have vehicles for Del Perro PD yet.

It turns out that I didn't install or have Open All Interiors installed correctly to GTA 5. The gate won't open unless I am Michael, but at least the fence has been fixed. Just in case anyone else is experiencing this issue.

All good. I can see how it can be confusing. This mod covers everything in EUP for both the default backup menu and Ultimate Backup. Some people use both, some only use the default backup menu. This mod basically corrects all jurisdictional settings, and offers all departments under one mod, unlike other mods. This mod also brings new stations, drop off locations, and even offers local eup backup for callouts (if devs enable them). Most callouts don't use eup peds, but this mod is set up for the local departments to be used if the developer of a callout sets it up that way.

No, I'm not kidding. Alex made a typo when he released EUP 8.3. This is the public version of EUP, and has not changed since the release of 8.2 Law and Order and 1.4 Serve and Rescue. The current version that you see today is 9.3 L&O and 1.5 S&R.

After discovering the way BejoIjo coded his modifications (see here for more information), I have decided to not update Ultimate Backup from this point forward. This is simply, an unnecessary way of coding modifications, and it is unreliable using plugins that can stop working at the press of a button (aka kill switch). No plugin new or old has any reason to have a server that forces checks or requires an internet connection that would disable it if it does not meet its expectations. Plugins are normalized requiring an internet connection, but coding a plugin to enable a disable functionality is ridiculous. That aside, I want to replace Ultimate Backup's functions to continue this modification's functionally allowing you to call traffic stop backup, canine backup, and more. Unfortunately, many plugins that are used for backup functionality do not implement EUP ped capabilities which this modification relies on, however, I will try to find one to keep this modification going strong regardless of the obstacles that may come.

The way BejoIjo coded his modifications, he can force disable his modifications (including paid versions of Patreon). This is done through the checker that runs in his modifications. If there is a failure to establish the connection to the server, he could shut it off regardless. It's common for modifications to require an internet connection, but the fact BejoIjo can disable the plugin functionally is concerning. This is referred to as a "kill switch". I have used his plugins for many years but discovering he codes his modifications this way makes me want to consider putting his plugins in the recycle bin. TLDR: If you can’t connect to the internet, if you’re on an old version, or simply if the server host is down the plugin will be disabled. This situation in retrospect is sketchy. He adds a checker capable of disabling functionally and then takes an extended leave of absence from the modding community. Who truly knows how long his coding had these functionalities? It's not one I trust anymore. Time to find an alternative plugin to play LSPDFR I suppose.

I'm not sure. I tried editing peds.ymt, but it crashed my game. I edited mp free mode peds to use cop walk styles and animations, but I couldn't get it to work.

You can make zones and custom regions (covered in the link above), but Paleto Bay/Grapeseed doesn't exist in EUP. Although, it would rather be easier just replacing the sheriff/sheriff2 slots since BCSO patrols there anyway.

By default LSPD spawns there with police/police2 under KOREAT (Little Seoul). Also, I didn't realize you were referring to ambient units as I thought it was an Ultimate Backup issue. Sorry about that. You can reference zones here: https://www.lcpdfr.com/wiki/lspdfr/04/modding/doc/zone/

When you spawn police4 does it work with the custom car? Odds are OpenIV just doesn't see it in-game somehow.

You can add a new section in the special units xml for Ultimate Backup like this. Then change your uniform/vehicle settings. In the default backup menu, in the agency eup file it would look like this. You can change what uniforms/vehicles are spawned here also. You can add this as a new section. Also, those Merryweather uniforms look newer, and my modification doesn't support paid versions of EUP. I won't be making configurations of new EUP updates until they are public.

If you have policeb setup as a normal car slot you could simply rename the existing uniform/vehicle settings to what you want or simply edit them out of the configuration files. Agency EUP in the custom data folder is for the default backup menu and ambient units. Ultimate Backup default regions under policeb is where you also find the motor unit settings.
