That's what the officer did that I mentioned. The only time the forward facing camera on his phone was on him was when he was stopped for a few running radar or what not. The whole privacy thing can EASILY be dealt with accordingly, there is no logical reason for officers NOT to livestream patrols. I rarely watch Twitch, but if there was an officer livestreaming, I'd gladly go and spend hours watching him.

Kind of impossible. Everything big that happens has to be in the news, if not for the media to get their ratings, for people to be informed. None of us want something major to happen and have zero idea about it.

There was a guy who was a small town cop and would stream his patrols. If he ever had someone in the back he'd end the stream immediately. Twitch, and even his superiors were fine with the stream until during one of his streams it abruptly ended. He said the feds had told him to stop, but I don't know if he meant the actual feds or higher-higher up the food chain, but I imagine the latter. It's a real shame, this guy was amazing and had a good sense of humor. Now his stream is kinda dead. I'll never understand why people throw a fit about patrol live streams. If done right, they can do wonders in terms of public relations and can allow the officer/deputy to let off some healthy steam while on duty.

To my knowledge there isn't a way to change it or have individual files for each area. You may be able to replace the cop voice that says "Los Santos PD", but then you have the problem of the LSPD saying "BCSO". In terms of the police megaphone in your car, I have no idea if you can change those or not. I haven't seen a mod that does.

You can take the vehicle files from RDE and install it into your game, you just need to go into the vehicles.rpf in RDE and extract them to your desktop. Same for the vehicles.meta and carvariations line for the vehicle. Then, if you want them as a replacement, replace them as needed or install as a standalone.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm almost positive this was already released on this site. I can't recall by who. I'll try and browse the vehicle downloads later to find it.

The problem is, and I guarantee you this will happen, if the mod makers name the files vehicles.meta, people will just copy and paste that meta with only a single line into their game and well-la, now they don't have any meta lines for most of the vehicles in the game.

Some mod authors are different. Some will include the exact same meta that you have, just with some proper edits for their vehicles, while some will just include a vehicles.meta that just has the one single line in it. You usually need to check first to see what you want to do.

When you replace over a vehicles.meta, or any file for that matter, the new file replaces it entirely. There are some vehicles that come with a vehicles.meta but they only have a single line in them. Ideally, if the vehicle has a custom meta line, you are supposed to extract your vehicles.meta and replace over the line that the new one uses. For example: Say you download a new POLICE2, which is a Tahoe. This Tahoe comes with its own meta line. You would go into this custom meta, and copy the custom meta for the Tahoe. Next, in OpenIV, go to your vehicles.meta (mods-->update-->update-->common-->data-->levels-->gta 5). Extract this to your desktop and open it. Now find the line for "POLICE2" and in its place paste the new POLICE2 meta line you copied. You may need to change the new line's modelName, txdName, and gameName to match the slot you want it in.

I personally prefer the newer lightbar texture. Seems a bit more crisp.

To my knowledge, there isn't a mod that makes the AI "think" for themselves when in a pursuit. Sometimes if they wreck their vehicle they will get out and flee on foot. There is the Pursuit Deterrence mod. This will let you try and yell through the loudspeaker of your car to tell a suspect to stop running. If it works, they will stop the car and essentially surrender. It doesn't always work, the chance of which they surrender is random, I believe.

Yep, you're spot on. One thing, this line: <audioNameHash /> Change to <audioNameHash>police4</audioNameHash> OR police, police2, police3, fbi, fbi2, sheriff, sheriff 2. Just depends on what vehicle is going in that slot.
