Next, restart your PC, and try loading into the game again and see if that works. If it still not working after that, please create a topic and post the ASI log and ELS log files.

So lets verify something. All other lights work except the main light bar, right? The OP didn't explain thoroughly, but it appears ELS is working fine except for the light bar, so the XML is being read.

Could it be a window tint issue? Open your trainer, go to vehicle mods, and give it full tint, then set to none. Your topic has been moved to GTA V Support, this is not LSPDFR related. Please post in the correct location in the future.

Yes there is, and another is on the way, but some folks don't like relying heavily on third party add-ons to LSPDFR (even though the current spotlight mod is a standalone). Folks are going to make their suggestions, most of which are already mods. No harm in asking for it to be a standard feature of LSPDFR.

Oh no, I'm not defending all of them. In fact, in another thread in this section (and another) I've begun to change my stance on the police from good to negative, so I am in no way trying to condone the bad ones.

Window tint. I believe your vehicle may be spawning with it, which is why the light bar is black. Open your trainer-->vehicle options-->vehicle mods, set window tint to full, then non. See if it fixes it.

If you were truly a soldier, you would not be saying anything such as "I wouldn't think twice about it", or justifying it as "I'm not killing someone innocent". Yes, people often tell you "they weren't innocent, you were doing what's right", but that doesn't make it easier. I'm not trying to call you a liar, I'm genuinely not, but I have serious doubts about you being a soldier if you're so callous about taking a life, regardless of why. Even soldiers, who go to another country knowing they will kill someone, don't kill their enemy with glee and satisfaction. There's a reason soldiers, including our enemies, don't keep tallies of how many men they have killed. There's a reason PTSD is a thing, and yes, a huge part of that is having to kill other people.

You don't necessarily understand what threaten means. You can threaten someone from afar, y'know. Are you going to kill someone who calls your wife and threatens her? 'Cause the whole "self defense"/"protecting my family" defense wouldn't hold up at all. It's so easy for people sitting in their chair to say "YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT I'D KILL THEM IF THEY THREATENED ME!", but the reality of the situation is, it's not as easy to kill someone as you're making it out to be. It might be easy for criminals who have grown up around them, but for the average Joe like you and many others? Your nerves will be on fire, you'll be sweating, shaking, and your finger will be twitching. The moments before will almost be as bad as after the fact. Once you take that life, even if for good intentions, you will spend the rest of your life wracked in guilt, haunted by the act of taking a life. Folks can try to be hard asses and say it won't happen to them, but it will. I'm willing to bet a good amount of money that even if we armed everyone, only a small percentage would actually be able to pull the trigger and shoot.

I don't understand why this is so hard for people to understand. Many people say "guns are for protection". How do you think guns will protect you? By shooting and killing another human being. What good do guns actually do? Criminals wouldn't have guns, and cops wouldn't need them either.

That's what really puts it in perspective. No other countries have this problem, it is just a US thing. As cold as Canada is, I'd move there in a heartbeat. They have their fair share of crimes, but not to the crazy extent as the US.
