  1. Decrease it, but don't go down a huge number. Take it slowly and see what fits your liking.
  2. Yes, because OIV installers, as you're aware, automatically install and overwrite. Since you manually placed visualsettings after, that file will stay and be fine. Good luck!
  3. In OpenIV, go to mods-->update-->update-->common-->data. Extract "visualsettings.dat" to your desktop. Now open it and look for "car.defaultlight". You will find two options, a day and night. For night, change to 1500.00 Now save. In OpenIV, click "edit mode", drag and drop the edited visualsettings, then click edit mode again. All you need to do is go in game and verify if that's better. For the taxi sign issue, check the file comments for Bright Lights, I believe someone included an image that'll fix that. Your topic has been moved to GTA V Support, this is not LSPDFR related. 4. Grab the original police.ytd from another patchday and use that one. Your topic has been moved to GTA V Support, this is not LSPDFR related. Please post in the correct location in the future.
  5. You're welcome! Apologies for not getting back with you sooner. I think you can, but you'd need to go into the ELS XML for the car and disable the sirens from being used
  6. It's not just a few incidents. If it was a few incidents we wouldn't be losing faith in law enforcement. If it was a few incidents I wouldn't be so concerned about the state of the US law enforcement. This is a huge problem that only keeps growing.
  7. Unfortunately, that is something I'm unaware of.

  9. You can try a different visual mod, but this would also work. Note: 1500.00 is what I use, and it works fine for me. This topic has been moved to the appropriate forum. Please post in the correct location in the future.

  11. We don't have a specific section for that, but you can create a topic here and ask - https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/forum/892-tutorials-questions/
  12. True, none of us were there, but how many times have cases like this turned out to be incorrectly reported and false? That is the sad state the US is in. There have been plenty of cases recently where an officer got off Scott free for killing someone who shouldn't of been shot. In fact, I'm pretty sure I posted about one of those incidents. Bad cops are in, good ones are out.
  13. You're most welcome! Glad we got it figured out.
  14. Hi Mike, You're most welcome, and it's fine. The private message system is used either between friends needing to discuss something, or to staff regarding a member issue, site issue, etc. We prefer support stay here, on the forums and not in our PMs. It's quite alright, though. :)
  15. https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/12/us/west-virginia-officer-lawsuit-settlement-trnd/index.html What the hell is it anymore with these secondary cops that arrive and immediately just open fire? There was a case a while back where a commanding officer chose to shoot a suspect who the original officer was trying to talk down and deal with APPROPRIATELY. It feels like most cops nowadays see themselves as shooters, and that's it. "We're called out somewhere? Time to shoot!" Mader most likely told the other officers it was a suicide by cop situation and to let him handle it. It's bad enough those idiots escalated the situation (I guarantee they arrived on scene and changed the entire tone of the conversation. Mader was probably calm and trying to talk with the suspect, while the other officers were DROP THE GUN! DROP THE GUN! GET DOWN!) The cherry on top, and what really shows this department is corrupt, they fire him for choosing not to shoot. Am I the only one absolutely stunned at that? Oh, it gets better. That's cute, drag up old, possibly small miniscule/stupid incidents in order to help justify the firing of a man who was trying to save a life.
