    Deadlocked

From the album: Hullian111's General Misadventures

A man in Vespucci is armed with a sawn-off shotgun, and he wants answers. Answers to what exactly is what the LSPD negotiators are trying to figure out. And all the while, officers keep a beady eye on the dangerous individual, ready to open fire if he fires back at them. With no progress in negotiations for well over an hour, the situation is at a deadlock. (It's not perfect, but I gave Menyoo ped stuff a go. I hope to improve on it later down the line)

  3. I can agree with you there, but with more specifics than anything - not much retro and not much lore-friendly and low-poly? I'm not into making realistic cars, as it just doesn't suit the game, IMO - nothing against the modders here, though, it's natural that people want realism in GTA - but there's not much out there that suits the mods I want to make that aren't massively hi-poly and ELS.
  4. I've already mentioned this with cpast over on Discord, and he has acknowledged that the 'featured' section of the gallery is not thought about much. As such, I would just like to remind the admins that it does, in fact, exist, but it does need a good update or two. There are mostly IV screenshots from around about 2013-2015 that are still featured there, with only one or two V screens featured, and I know that removing their featured status may not prove popular with some - is there a way to put a 'previously featured' badge on some mods? - but I think this really should change with the amount of V mods and artistic screenshots that are supplementing them. So in short, would updating featured be possible, like on a monthly rota, so we won't have to look at the same old IV pics anymore? Not saying that they aren't good anymore, they're just a bit...dated.

    Act Your Size

That's in the books, yeah. Once I put out a stable release including another version of this, I might add that in in an update.

He's moved over to 'modding-forum', now, in case you didn't know.

You passed the test like all the rest. Now you have the keys to a early-90s Declasse Yosemite, which has been converted to the 'Police Package' by the Declasse Special Vehicles Unit. Perfectly capable of driving over riot debris without ripping off the bodywork, unlike Merits and Premiers in service at the time, the Yosemite Police Package is perfect for those who want to lug around legally-questionable police equipment and chase out criminals off the beaten track - at the same time. Yeah, this is what you think of when you think of a County Sheriff's car. Would you believe it, this is my first actual vehicle model, after all this time! A Los Santos Sheriffs Department will be made, and the pack will be released when the parts for it become available.

Now that you mention it, I'm actually in the process of doing so. Just waiting on another mod release to time it right.

Better than never releasing it like a certain someone.
  10. Besides, the font and background combination looks very awful and headache-y.
  11. You're in OpenIV, right? PRINT SCREEN. Simple as that, no need for screenshotting software.
  12. From the album: Hullian111's General Misadventures

Just when an intense pursuit landed in SAHP jurisdiction, a suspect wanted for robbing multiple 24/7s in Los Santos under the cover of a thunderstorm slipped and smashed into the wall of a house. Unfortunately, the suspect fled, and now it's up to the SAHP to connect the dots. The two vehicles here were provided by 11john11 - I would like to thank him for all the work he is doing, as a fan of his work, he really does good lore stuff. I actually made the livery for the Merit Classic, would you believe it!

  13. To give an update on current proceedings, many of you will know that Lundy took down a majority of the models featured here, either because they 'needed improvement', or they 'didn't fit the lore'. Now, I have my reservations on the matter, but I'm afraid that this does mean that this pack is pretty much unworkable for some models. I am wondering whether a rework with the appropriate lore-friendly vehicles can go ahead, given the resources and right models be released. However, as it stands, if you're looking for lore-friendly retro mods, I'm afraid you'll have to look elsewhere.
  14. Why have you started an argument in a thread that's just over five or so months old...

Alright, that's the last of the state police Marbelles sorted. Just got a few more mods to upload, then I can wind down GTA IV well and truly. This is ThatOneHick's Willard Marbelle (ELS/Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of an early 1980s ASP car. Using resources from the ASP Stanier (thanks, Abraxas!), my own mods, and many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills - for example, the Alderney logo on the plate had to be taken from Abraxas' license plate, so it may appear spotty - so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me. The original model is located here (ELS), or here (non-ELS)(much credit goes to ThatOneHick for a perfect US-Granada-based police car, he's coming back!) Please do not redistribute without my permission. This mod is exclusive to LCPDFR.com. Enjoy!
  16. Huh, I think it's already been done, sorry to break it to you. https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/federal-signal-unitrol-480k-80-s-and-90-s-lapd
  17. Logo is off-centre, wrong shade of blue, and you used Calibri - all I can say is that you tried. You'll get better, hopefully. That's how many people start out here.
  18. Thanks, but just bear in mind that I'm winding down IV to focus more on V. I'm not quitting, but there's going to be less mods coming out for IV.
  19. Ouch, looks like you haven't installed John's ambulance correctly. Props for using it, though.

I'll come and say this: it's an interesting concept, sure, but it will need some work to be truly good. And besides, it'll be very niche, not to upset you or anything.

I'm not finished with IV yet! Although I will say that due to the fact that I have a working and moddable GTA V, I am beginning to wind down IV modding. I'm not totally going to stop, it's just going to get less importance. There's also a few mods that I need to put out before I'm truly done with IV, so stay tuned. This is ThatOneHick's Willard Marbelle (ELS/Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of an early-and-late 1980s NLSP car, with both old and new livery variants. Using resources from the NLSP Stanier (thanks, Abraxas!), my own mods, and many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills, for example, the door handles on the newer liveries are not cut away, as they would have been a pain to do, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me. The original model is located here (ELS), or here (non-ELS)(much credit goes to ThatOneHick for a perfect US-Granada-based police car, he's coming back!) Please do not redistribute without my permission. This mod is exclusive to LCPDFR.com. Enjoy
  22. This is a three-year-old file for IV.

    To The Beaches!

From the album: Hullian111's General Misadventures

A brazen luxury car thief, one of many being hunted down in an exotic theft ring, has been caught red-handed by the LSPD's special task force, and while also damaging the recently-imported British classic in the process, he lead the pursuit to Vespucci Beach. The car was later shoved into a median somewhere further away from the beach, and the thief apprehended.
