Siren Mastery | Fully master your siren tones!
ELS uses default siren files, seems like it doesn't have support for external sirens. So, if you want to use your favourite siren with ELS, you may: 1) install ELS while having default siren replaced by your custom siren (downside is you can't control the volume). Just replace siren as usual via OpenIV. 2) install ELS+Siren Mastery and mess with that combined setup (seems OK if you want to make the siren louder, but I don't know how to do it properly). I'm afraid ELS will never support external sirens (with volume control) because of how it works: with ELS you may leave your car with siren on (true in-game sound), while Siren Mastery turns off the in-game siren and just plays custom siren when you hit the button, with no sound marker binded to the game world (fake sound). I'm gonna use option #1 to avoid hassle, and my current siren volume is OK for me.

LSPDFR 0.3 - Now Released
True. Gtaforums are full of threads about singleplayer updates\DLCs and other speculations. Rockstars know that, but they make easy cash with Online, so it's all about money, and they will not support singleplayer except making patches and such stuff. Hell, I'm tired of those updates. They give me nothing but headache. I have to update my stuff and recreate some mods just to make my game work as before. And I would be OK with it if those updates gave me something new in terms of gameplay or didn't break mods at least. So I stopped playing LSPDFR 1.5-2 months ago because of constant crashes after Bikers update, though I never had any gamebreaking problems with LSPFR or RPH before. Screw Rockstar, screw their Online crap, I will not buy their games again.

Not Too Bright Lights
It's a file for you, but it's a "folder" for everyone who has a bit of knowledge of OpenIV and modding in general. But using your logic, you can't put things in files, eh? But, you know, archives are actually files aswell. Can you put some things in .rar archive? Obviously yes. So update.rpf is just another archive, so learn how to use OpenIV and put things into .rpf archives, you can find tutorials and guides on the internet. I'm surprised to see such question on site related to GTA modding.

Not Too Bright Lights
As I know, visualsettings.dat file determines only global variable of corona size. Changing corona size in carcols (lightsetting profiles (ids)) is just for flexibility I guess, so final result will be based on global size + variables from specified lightsetting profile. Carcols parameters may just overwrite global ones, so global variable of size might also handle corona size in case it is not specified in certain lightsetting ID in carcols, just to prevent bugs. I don't know how this works exactly, that's why I reverted that global var back to vanilla (compared to Bright Lights original), so if author of B.E.L. says nothing about tweaking visualsettings.dat to achieve those visuals, he probably means that visualsettings.dat corona parameters should be vanilla. If so, then you're good to go.

After R* messed the lights up, thegreathah released his mod called Bright Lights. After a while BxBugs123 updated his RadianceV mod (which is known to have "OH MY GOD MY EYES GIMME SUNGLASSES RIGHT NOW!" effect). And guess what? They both burned my eyes off as intended. Bright Lights, as thegreathah stated, is just bright without any realism or something. So I decided to share my own tweak based on Bright Lights. So what's changed? Almost all lights were dimmed a bit to be less annoying. Coronas' size was reverted back to vanilla (I think vanilla is just fine). I guess I found sweet spot with those changes, so I hope you like it. INSTALLATION: Just put the file into update.rpf/common/data. Be sure to use "mods" folder and\or make backups. CREDITS: Credits go to thegreathah. You probably may edit and distribute this, just credit me (optionally) and thegreathah, and do not ask permission. KNOWN ISSUES: Taxi lights are brighter than satan's butthole © thegreathah. I will look into this, but seems like I can't do anything now to fix this. Someone made a dark texture for taxi as workaround, but I don't know if you can use it with custom taxi cars, so go check Bright Lights comments section. PLEASE NOTE: Lighting is actually different on different cars. I can do nothing to make my tweak to be fine with all cars. Modmakers make their vehicles with different amount of light somehow, so some cars may be dim while others may be bright as hell. So please do not complain about it.- 7 comments

EUP Menu
Finally resetting-on-death is GONE. I truly hate this glitchy unimmersive "feature" existing in some trainers (Simple Trainer, ENT), but now we can play as custom characters without worrying about death. Thank you guys!

Bright Lights
Seems like this one is very bright like RadianceV. Someone should make a bit more realistic version comparable to "Realistic Radiance" like this: "Bright Lights" <---> "RadianceV" ? <---> "Realistic Radiance"

RADIANCE V
Oh well, I just noticed this one. And what can I say, R* really fucked up everything again. All such mods use visualsettings file. And as I can see, author of Bright Lights just increased numbers. Yes, this is how it works after update, we just need to increase numbers. I don't know why R* did this.

RADIANCE V
I'm afraid he can't do nothing with it. I've modded visualsettings file on my own and it's still dull, seems like Rockstar has changed something in their engine. I'll play with numbers, maybe we just should increase them or something. Since we haven't got any useful stuff for singleplayer, I get angry everytime when R* releases a new update for their crappy Online. What a shame.

RADIANCE V
My lights became dull after Bikers update. Before this patch lights had been blinding me sometimes, but now it seems they're dim like vanilla.

[MAJOR UPDATE] 2015 Police Mustang GT [ADDON]
Sorry. Lightbar is fine on the video, but it's messed up on those pics, they confused me. I should try it myself in-game.

[MAJOR UPDATE] 2015 Police Mustang GT [ADDON]
@Masterschwag Hey bro, seems like your mustang got some polishing, it's good. I just want to ask, why lightbar has "on" textures when it's actually turned off? So it looks like lightbar is on but without producing any light, just textures, but it's turned off. I guess there should be two sets of lightbar textures, one for "turned off" state and another for "turned on", but as I can see it has only one (from screenshots above).

[MAJOR UPDATE] 2015 Police Mustang GT [ADDON]
I guess you're using RadianceV or something like that, if so, you should light up the bar a bit, it seems dull. I don't know how modders usually do it, maybe textures for more "bright" appearance or whatever.

[MAJOR UPDATE] 2015 Police Mustang GT [ADDON]
Hi bruh, FPV is this line: <PovCameraOffset x="0.000000" y="-0.140000" z="0.650000" /> Change bold balue to drag camera lower or higher. The lesser the value, the lower the camera. Be accurate, so if your mustang has z=0.650000 for example (I can't check now), to remove clipping you should set z=0.620000 or even 0.630000. "X" value is for moving the camera to the left\right, and "Y" is for moving it forward or backward. (if looking at horizon of couse), And what about wheels, I suppose it's a problem with mesh itself, so it can't be solved via .meta tweaking.

[MAJOR UPDATE] 2015 Police Mustang GT [ADDON]
At least you're trying, some people just release their cars and that's all, no updates, no bugfixes, no feedback reading. I really want to help, but I know nothing about modeling, so I just can't. But I suppose many modders here are good people and may help you. I know certain guys on gta5-mods, but they're very busy I suppose, because so many new modders there are trying to ask them about something. On other hand LSPDFR is a bit more mature and settled communty (I think it is). Personally I wreck every car I install on my computer. I don't see anyone doing extensive bug-searching and crash-tests, every "car review" here or on gta5-mods is just camera rolls around the car, often without any interior spotlight. I personally don't understand this, because playing as both police officer and criminal is about chasing, and chasing is high speed, and high speed is a risk of crashing into traffic and walls. I can't just ride around the state lazily and arrest scums. And, you know, people of Los Santos are nuts, shots fired and they flee pedal to the metal and heap of battered cars is on the road. So yea, I smash everything and everyone!1 MUHAHAHAHA

[MAJOR UPDATE] 2015 Police Mustang GT [ADDON]
Took a closer look and found some bugs. First, some holes under taillights, screenshot under spoiler. Vanilla and well-made cars have a (chrome-ish) substrate under the lamps, so after they off, substrate stays there, so no holes or something. Second is chassis deformation. After a small crash I got my interior broken as hell. There's also a small clip in FPV, but it can be solved via tweaking vehicles.meta, I always do it on my own. Roof is also screwed and it's weird. Yes, it's realistic, but almost all custom cars available at the moment got solid roof to make FPV playing smooth (vanilla cars have it by default). Third, there's a small gaps and holes in front of the car in some places around rambar (it's also hanging in air but I guess it's not a bug). And no proper rim mesh when tires are off.

[MAJOR UPDATE] 2015 Police Mustang GT [ADDON]
Thanks! P.S. I don't understand this hassle with lightbar textures. It's default lightbar from GTAV, and it's still crap no matter which textures it uses. It doesn't make car look shitty, but I guess it should be changed to finish this beautiful car. Just my opinion :)

[MAJOR UPDATE] 2015 Police Mustang GT [ADDON]
As I know, you can't just set different engine sound to police vehicle, because all police hashes include both engine and siren sound, but civilian car hashes do NOT include siren sound. So if you set civilian car audiohash to police car, there will be no siren at all. It can (possibly) be done via editing hashes and attaching sound files to them, but it's probably hard to perform.

But both of these vehicles are multipurpose and include marked and unmarked setups. Seems like they even have similar liveries and equipment.
