Not currently, nope. The only way to edit names is by editing the Script it's self and the manner in which it grabs the name, which only Devs have access to it currently (LCPDFR Is not open source). Also topic belongs in LCPDFR Discussion, moving topic. -JAM.

It's hard for me to listen to an opinion based on a beta/tutorial video, however I do understand your point. Here's my take: EA has a new thing going for themselves, instead of both appeasing to the older player base and the new one by making a game like the previous one but improving on that fact, they are now pretty much throwing out all old sequels out the window and starting fresh to go with the "New" generation. Many of the older players don't like it but people like me who have not played Sim City yet are dying to get our hands on it, this is the same case with games like BF3, or The Sims3. I'm a avid old player of both of those other older game sequels and they to me seem like they just completely ruined it. EA won't change how they do things, nothing anyone says will change that, the profit is too large. I'm sure it's still gonna be a great game though. @Sam, agreed, however if I want a game bad enough, something that small (It's small to me, annoying yes, but small) isn't gonna keep me away from a game I want :D.

Scales, you really need to turn off your Caps Lock. Typing in all Caps really doesn't help get your point across as well as it makes it look as if your yelling at us.

You can't, the only way you can add lights to a Model is through a Model Editor such as Zmodler. Paint.net is simply for Car Skins.

Whoa, wait, I'm sorry what? It seems that you're annoyed/angry at the fact that some people disprove/disagree with your opinion and instead of bringing up a valid argument to disprove their views, you start attempting to insult other members? Yeah that doesn't work here. Many of our members are here to just simply enjoy our modification (such as c13) and are open to debates like this (Who have openly stated they are against Police Officers in some of their actions) and they choose to involve themselves in debates like this because they have their own opinion, and when another person disagrees 90% of the time they will be open to their views instead of replying with attempted derogatory remarks/statements. If you feel this site is so radically in favor of something that you dislike/disagree with so much then you're free leave this site at anytime. And believe me none of us will stop you when you talk to us like that. I will state that I can some what understand what point you're trying to get across, you want to discuss such things on a site that you feel isn't "Obsessed' with the main view that is in question, hence you feel that they'll always be on the side of what the site is focused on (which by the way is the reason why forums are created, to center around a certain thing and discuss about it) but truthfully you won't get that anywhere. Everyone has their own likes/dislikes and no matter what some one will always disagree with what you have to say, it's part of the world, and you speaking to us like that isn't going to help you any more to get your point across. This topic has been perfectly fine so far and I HAVE been watching this thread, no flaming, just basic debate. But then you decide to attempt to throw in a derogatory remark/insult to not only the entire site and what it stands for, but also to all our members. No, Domination is a Server Side mission. The only time you'll require mods is if the server requires them. The server I specified in my earlier post is vanilla and requires no mods, other servers may. This is usually indicated by their name, example: JAM's random shitty server Insurgency! (ACE2, ACEX, ACRE) etc. Once you join a server with their own mission file, it will automatically download it for you so you can play on the server.

Pretty sure it doesn't matter which order (OA is a standalone) but just for safe measure I would.

Steam is a awesome service, in short, everything you asked that may need to be done, is automatically done for you. It will already be updated to the latest patch and install to the correct folder it needs. In short just install, play, and your good to go (After it's installed, click "Play" on your steam client from your library of games). It's as easy as that :D.

Install both ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead since you have purchased the "Combined Ops" pack you should have both. In terms of mod servers like "DayZ" I would avoid them since your new, don't be like all the other people who buy this amazing game just for one zombie mod. Play some on some Domination servers to get started to learn the core basics of the game, It'll be hard at first but it's worth it in the end. In terms of mods I'd wait until you fully understand the game first, other wise you could possibly mess your game up and that is no fun to try and fix (Watch some tutorials on YouTube on "SixUpdater" so when you do decide to get mods you know how to use it). I suggest my friends server: Chibis Domination. To find it simply type "Chibi" in your filter and it should display the game mode as Domination, although it is usually full. Get some friends that know the game and learn all you need to know about it. Remember it's not a fast paced shoot em up like CoD, this game is a accurate representation of real life combat, thus it will feel like a Simulation rather than a crazy easy shoot em up FPS, so be ready to die......alot....
