  1. Sorry, I just had to post this.... I don't know how these shows honestly gain any traction. Ghosts, monsters, aliens etc. It's all the same odd camera work with over acting and shitty jump scares. I just don't get it....
  2. Rockstar doesn't necessarily hate the Modding Community (In my opinion), it's just given them a lot of head aches. The whole Hot Coffee scandal made them loose quite a bit of money in law suits and spending on damage control. I think Rockstar has been sorta impartial to modding. I think they recognize the issues modding can bring to their game with legality issues, copyrights, and bad media. So they try to suppress it but I'm sure Rockstar knows there's only so much they can do before the game is made mod able. Plus you have to remember they're a business and the guys upstairs are going to keep telling the devs "We don't want anymore issues", the devs could love modders, but they still want to have a job at the end of the day. It's entireley plausible that they've had some inspiration from some files, but Rockstar has a great amount of talented developers whom I'm sure have come up with their own ideas. Just like ineseri said, they take ques from real life and modify them.
  3. Rockstar has released some new screens of the PC Version of the game: http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52396/new-grand-theft-auto-v-pc-screens I'd post the photos here but the resolutions are absolutely massive and will surely piss off anyone with a slow connection (I'm looking at you, Sniper296).
  4. Shame for him, it's released on my Birthday :D *Rubs hands in a evil manner*
  5. I go to different stations (Some with more population, some with almost none). In the world of EMS/Fire it really is a crap shoot. Some stations you're busy all day but quiet all night, some you rarely get 365 calls a year. Some days you can be non stop, some days you don't get a single call. The last time I was on duty I was at a decently busy station (Nothing crazy, but decent volume, mostly night calls) and we didn't get a single call. A friend of mine who's full time on that crew said that it was extremely, extremely rare. Most people think that Fire Fighters only respond to Fires/Fire related calls, but the truth is our calls are %85 Medical related, %15 Fire Related.
  6. When I was growing up nothing else seemed like the real dream job then being a Police Officer. Even the most mundane things like paperwork I felt giddy about. I think it's safe to say that most people in this thread will be the same occupational "Want". Did I fulfill my dream? Well....I'm a Fire Fighter now.....dunno how that happened.
  7. ibuypower is often ridiculed for terrible quality and I've heard horror stories of the pre builts they make. However those stories may be with bias or may not even be true so I cannot say for certain or form first hand experience. As with what everyone will tell you building a computer your self will save you the most money and you can control the quality/parts your self. However if you really do not feel the need to build it your self there's a plethora of companies who customize/build that are going to be far better quality. It's all a matter of how much do you want to spend/your budget, which, would be helpful if you could comment what that is so many of the people who help in this forum can pinpoint what parts/builders would be perfect for you.
  8. As stated above else where in this thread please keep in mind if you honestly feel you're having a Heart Issue or another Medical Emergency contact the proper form of Medical Help. From what I can see none of us here are actual Medical Doctors and as such none of us can officially diagnose you and we'd all feel awful if something were to happen to you because of our advise. So please take everything you read here with a grain of salt.
  9. A real heart attack (Mostly common is Myocardial Infarction or Cardiac Arrest) would usually feel like a very dull, achy persistent pain, commonly refereed as a "ton of bricks sitting on my chest" with the pain region being from 1-10 (10 being worst pain ever) in the higher upper portions around 7-10 (this type of pain usually caused by a heart rhythm known as Ventricular Fibrillation). A sharp, chest grabbing pain is what you usually see in the movies and while it does happen, you more often see a very bad palpitating pain in the upper left region with most common diaperesis (sweating profusely) and some arm numbness, difficulty breathing, and nausea. Very sharp chest pains can be a sign of a Heart issue (Such as you having an un-normal amount of Pre-Ventricular Contractions or other heart pumping related issues) or even the heart being in a un-safe rhythm such as Ventricular Tachycardia (Heart pumping so fast it's not pumping enough blood, thus leading to Cardiac Arrest), however most common is a dull achy chest pain with un-conciousness coming afterwards (due to heart not pumping in a normal rhythm and thus, not pumping blood adequately). It's easy to say what you experienced most likely wasn't a Heart Attack or anything really sort of heart related, other wise the rhythm that you'd be in a heart attack situation would lead to death shortly after a period of time. As a few others stated here, you most likely pulled a muscle, combined with a strenious activity causing your heart to race and make you feel as if you were having a heart attack. Not to mention I'm going to take a wild guess and say you're probably young and younger patients don't have Heart Attacks as regularly as older patients (Heart Attacks in younger patients are usually due to a case of Respiratory Arrest). When you have a real Heart Attack, you'll know it. When that time ever comes (I hope it never does for your case) and you feel like something is really going to happen to you, please don't hesitate to call 911 or get some ones attention. It could be the real thing and if it is not it could be a symptom of another major issue. Here is a good article about how shoveling snow actually has been linked to an increase of Heart Attacks: http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Affiliate/Shoveling-Snow-Health-Hazards_UCM_426562_Article.jsp As titled in the article on wikipedia, the correct term would be Angina Pectoris. In medical terminology Angina translates to -Pain-, and pectoris is referring to the upper chest region. So knowing this when you hear Angina Pectoris, you are expecting upper chest pain which could possibly be caused by a Heart related issue. TL;DR: What you experienced most likely wasn't a heart attack, how do I know this? You're still alive silly. :D Source of info: Fire Fighter, didn't mean to make the explanation so long but I love heart related medical things and get me talking about it and I could go on and on... :D
  10. Go-daddy commercials have always been on the sorta stupid side, and the "scandalous" side. They're basically playing up what Carls Jr does by being so outlandish that you can't help but watch. However instead of girls I guess they're going for puppies? I guess? No idea, just mindless trash In my books that everyone should ignore but most decided to grab pitch forks about. It's an ad for a sports game show that the audience usually consists of people drinking a glass or two of beer (not poking fun at America or the audience, just true) and it grabs attention and makes everyone laugh, even if it wasn't funny, we're still talking about it. That's how advertisement works, sadly.
  11. As long as the port comes out perfect and it's everything we want for, then I can honestly care less if it gets pushed back just a bit. It's not like it's a game that hasn't been released yet, we're just waiting for it a tad longer. Specs look good though, I get the same vibe from max payne 3 specs, and that's a good sign in my books.
  12. Pretty much all of this^ (Anything LukeD has said in this thread). If you're looking into watercooling any aspect of your computer you need to at least be in the mid range of pricing. CPU Closed Loop blocks can sorta get away with cheap-ish parts, but you're just setting up your computer for failure. In truth, there's really no reason to water cool a GPU unless you have a massive SLI set up (Around 3+ cards) and the space doesn't warrant the room for massive fans on the cards (IE: Cards are so close to each other that whatever one exhausts it's heated air, the other just sucks it in). This is why most decently expensive set ups still usually have stock coolers with high flow air in the case or aftermarket fans on the cards them selves. It's also the reason why on my next build my Dual SLI 980s will have stock coolers but high flow air in the case. Save your money, and buy some other upgrade. Water cooling your single GPU won't warrant any high yields and will only be a headache, especially if you're going with a cheap route. Just my opinion.
  13. YES! I CAN'T WAIT TO FINALLY.....oh wait I have a laptop.
  14. Oh no I understand that totally. I totally get that it's a joke topic (especially with the rekking part) and that post wasn't aimed at you or anything, was just giving my opinion on how people are starting to care about posts counts since the concept completely new for me.
  15. I hate to be that "guy" and I get that everyone has their own things that their into, but do post counts really matter? Some people may think that having a higher post count=a better member however I never understood how post count correlates to a good member. Reminds me of back in the day when I was a regular member and 3,000 posts was insane, but if you looked at their posts it was nothing but crappy content that was clearly meant to boost their count. That's just me though, I've always thought that quality of quantity in terms of posts was what mattered, and not the number. It's like when people used to (and probably still do) obsess over rep when it's nice to have, but really no one cares (in my book at least). I guess I can't say much, I only have 2,000 posts but looking back through it, it's mostly (around %95) moderation posts. Just my opinion, may be harsh but it's how I feel about posts counts. /endrant
  16. Usually Coffee in the morning/through out the day. And Tea for basically for every other time. Still trying to kick my addiction to Diet Soda :(
  17. Pretty much this^. Seems like LulzSec imitators without the actual exploitation and infiltration of websites and editing. Pretty much anyone can get to this level of a net with enough money. Some may consider this funny (I laughed at first) but I sorta feel bad for the kids who get some games for Christmas and they can't even play them online because some skids wanted to have a laugh.
