  1. Hey Take2, guess who is playing LSPDFR right this minute??? 👺👺👺
  2. Let's be clear, It's not "illegal". You are not committing a crime. Ths police are not going to arrest you. You are however, violating the license agreement by modifying the game. And that is up to Take2 to enforce. It would be a waste of time and money for Take2 to go after each individual who mods their game. So instead they go after the organizations, like OIV, that facilitate it on a public / large scale level.
  3. Thank you! Modding is not illegal. Everybody needs to realize that the issue here is between Take 2 and OpenIV. Take2 is basically saying that OpenIV is violating Take2's intellectual property rights and they must stop or face a lawsuit. OpenIV simply decided not to fight this time. While you techniically only own a license to GTA5, nothing stops you from opening the game up and making any changes you want to the code, to your own detriment if you dont understand how to do it Modding software such as OpenIV and RPH stand alot closer to the legal line because they facilitate the editing of Take2 software at a public level and have the ability to (and have) profited from it via donations or other means. This is where OpenIV and RPH and even LSPDFR are vulnerable. Individual players arent at risk and companies like Take2 would be foolish to try to go after each individual for violoating their license agreement. It would be extremely bad PR for them.
  4. Thanks @Albo1125 for fixing the issue with placing grabbed / arrested suspects in car when using G. The musical chairs dance with a suspect was fun at first but so glad you addressed it. Thanks!
For the longest time, I was of the school that I didn't care what my sirens sounded like, as long traffic moved out of the way I was okay with the default audio. On top of that, having only joined the LSPDFR community just over a year ago, I was not so confident in my modding skills to start messing with audio files. But over the past year, I've gotten more comfortable with modding and started thinking about getting my game to sound more realistic. Well, this audio pack is perfect for what I wanted to do. The install was easier than updating skins on vehicles and after watching the videos above, I had the mod in my game with a snap of the fingers. And it is so great to hear real sirens in game and the different tones for differents vehicle slots. I swear sometimes when I hear real life sirens outside of my window I have to pause my game to make sure its not my sirens in game on. This is a great mod. If you were in the same boat as me wanting to keep the original sirens, give this one a try. You won't be disappointed and you will be asking yourself why did you wait so long to move your game closer to realism.
After watching footage of this callout package on different YouTube channels I decided to try this one out and was not disappointed. This package fits right with a wide range of callouts from the procedural (Hit & Run investigation) to the classic GTA5 gun battle (Gang Activity). The bar fight callout is well placed and rather overdue, especially in Los Santos. To have had a bar fight callout missing in my game this long didnt do Los Santos right. Bar fights, like any city, come with the territory so having this in my callout now only pushes the immersion deeper. My favorite callout is the arrest warrant. The sheer variety installed makes you go on high alert as you are driving to the suspects location. Not knowing the reaction ahead of time really keeps you on edge. That keeps the overall immersion on a great level. Fine job and a solid call out package added to the community. Great work!
Just downloaded the latest version and the evolution of this callout mod has been fantastic. The callouts have grown and been developed into one of the better callout packages for LSPDFR. You get such a wide range of calls, from the everyday "customer complaint / dispute" to the GTA style pursuits to rushing to aid a fellow officer in distress. Each callout has multiple outcomes which keeps you in suspense, even after you've played through them. Highly recommended and great work on this one. Thanks to Scottehboyy for the continued work on this mod.
The last Rockstar update really dimmed the lightbars and other lights on a handful of vehicles in my game. They were affected to the point where I could barely see them during the day and they were dull at night. I am running RadianceV but I am not using ELS. So I needed a non ELS CVPI and of course I turned to one the best vehicle makers in the community, Bxbugs 123 As always, this is a clean and beautiful model with lots of options, even when you select the car in the garage within LSPDFR. Thanks Bxbugs123, fantastic CVPI that fitted my needs perfectly.
The last update released by Rockstar for GTA 5 really dulled some of the overhead lights on the vehicles I had in my game, even with RadianceV. I wanted to keep as much of my fleet intact but was annoyed with the very low lights. TheHurks 2016 CHP pack came to the rescue. I have not installed ELS into my game yet so this pack came in handy to plug in and replace vehicles that were affected by the update. The models in this pack are beautiful and whats best is the skins I have fit the cars in this pack so I still have a uniform fleet. Great work!
''If you build it, he will come" The famous line from the US movie "Field of Dreams" easily applies to any mod that Albo builds on this site. If Albo builds it, any player who plays LSPDFR will come to download it and not be disappointed. Personally, I am now running the Albo "Nickel" in my game, using five of his mods : Arrest Manager, Traffic Policer, LSPDFR+, Assorted Callouts and now Police Smart Radio. Albo has taken one of the original, essential mods for LSPDFR and made it 100x better while somehow managing to keep the operation of the mod in game just as simple as the original. If Albo would have simply made the radio plate checks accurately report a vehicle's status, it would have been a vast improvement. But leave it to Albo to not only address issues but to see where the original fell short and add features that make a shift on patrol so much more manageable. When you do your equipment check before hitting your beat, Police Smart Radio is one of the items you should never leave the station without having in your possession. Great work Albo! As always.
Beautiful skins. Really only wanted the skin for the FPIU but now that I see this in action, I'm thinking of updating my entire LSPD fleet. The multiple types of skins for each vehicle really give role players a lot of room for imagination. Fantastic pack! Outstanding work!
  5. @ScottenBoyy, The callouts seem to work with RPH 45 but I'm having some issues with two of them, The Stolen Tanker and The Stolen Money Truck when they are far away (off the mini-map and represented by the white star) the moment I accept the call out when they are far away, LSPDFR crashes and I have to reload with the RPH console and Force Duty. I'll refrain from writing a review because these issues are may very well be the result of running an old version of RPH. I do like the call out package though, it gives me a bit more variety to my game. Once I update RPH and all the rest of my mods, I'll write a review. Bottom line, the callouts work with RPH 45 with the exception of the distance issue above.
I was using Captain14's earlier unmarked Tahoe with the lights all along the siderunners but wanted to update with this mode and I was not disappointed. The new lighting setup is amazing and having a rambar and spotlight really allows this Tahoe to be used as a heavy duty vehicle for drug busts and large vehicle takedowns. Since this installs easily in patchday11, if I ever want to revert back to Captain14's first model (which I loved) all I have to do is delete this one from patchday11. The best model makers on the LSPDFR not only make stunning cars but also make installation as easy as possible. Captain14 is one such modeler in this community. Fantastic job.
  6. I downloaded it yesterday and have played about 3 sessions with it and so far so good, any crashes I experienced were for differnet mods. But I haven't done all the callouts yet. I'll play a few more sessions and try to force the callouts. If its all good I'll review and donate.
  7. Hi @ScottenBoyy, I was thinking about downloading this but see that you updated it today. Is RPH 47 a requirement now or will the mod still work with lower versions (I still have RPH45)? I"m holding off on updating because I've heard mixed reviews of the stability of RPH 47 and the latest GTA 5 update. Would love to give your mod a shot if it can run on lower versions of RPH. Thanks!
This is a good model that still needs some work. It's a great alternative to the Taurus and its nice to see this car in the game. The model is very clean. Installed into patchday 11 in my sheriff slot and with some editing to meta and LODs had no issues. However there are some issues that need to be ironed out. All blue version (the one I downloaded) still has red coronas that need to be removed. Can see them very clearly at night in lightbar and in side mirror lights. In some areas on the map, the tires are off of the ground completely, making it look like the car is floating. Will happily revise review for any newer versions that address these issues.
I finally completed the Albo Grand Slam and have Assorted Callouts, Traffic Policer, Arrest Manager and now LSPDFR+ in my game. For me this was a huge boost to my game because I like to run a lot of traffic. There were so many shortcomings in the default LSPDFR Traffic Stop Menu which players had to work around. For example, not being able get ID from all passengers, not being able to get all passengers out of the car; not able to ask the driver relevant questions; limited amount of traffic violations (If I had a dollar for every "other" ticket I've written in my LSPDFR career, I'd be rich). But now I have a lot of control over my traffic stops with LSPDFR+ and it has improved the immersion fantastically. And if the suspect runs, the pursuit intelligence is second to none in LSPDFR+, coupled with the Pursuit Deterrence mod it brings much more realism to chases. No longer do your fellow AI officers leave a trail of wrecked cars and dead innocent bystanders in the wake of pursuit. The court cases are an added bonus to immersion. Superb job as usual Albo. Thanks!
  8. Hey BradM, Just wanted to share a pic of my Los Santos County Sheriffs Fleet. My god it's so f**kin sexy!
  9. Hey BradM, Love these skins. Simply amazing. Keep up the great work. Quick comment: I noticed that Thehurk's Taurus doesn't have any license plates. Is that something you can address via the skin or is it an issue with the model? Not a huge deal, just wondering. And if any of the citizens in Los Santos point it out, they'll get a quick taze to make them forget... Thanks again for the great skins.
Another fantastic model from thehurk. I needed an upgrade for my Sheriff fleet and something exclusive for my Sheriff department to use apart from the LSPD. I had a charger in my Sheriff slot but I never played with it because I have another charger that is my go to. I realized that I didn't have a Taurus in my game and I needed a vehicle that would be interesting to play with, thehurks FPI was it.. It installed cleanly into my Sheriff slot (with some tweaks to the meta) and I love the blue light set up to set it even further apart from the LSPD fleet. Fantastic model!
I loved the old Sheriff's skin pack that I was using but unfortunately there were more cars coming out that I wanted in my game but without the skins to match, I didn't put them in my game. So in my game, Los Santos County has taken over the policing of the entire map and promises were made to the northern sheriff offices that they would get new vehicles with the larger budget. So immediately, the northern offices received 2013 Ford Interceptors (Thehurk) to replace the CVPIs and 2015 Tahoes (Captain14) to replace 2008 Tahoes. (Both of these vehicles have skins in this pack) and the other cars in the fleet, Impala (Bxbugs123); 2014 Charger (Bxbugs123) 2014 FPIU (Desmond98) got new paint jobs. All of these vehicles are also in the skin pack. Even the CVPIs (BlackJesus) which will now be used to patrol the jail, transport prisoners to court and for deputies working in and around the courthouses got fresh paint jobs. This is one of the most robust skin packs on the site. Kudos to BradM for keeping the skins on pace with the best cars released for LSPDFR. If you want uniform paint jobs for your sheriff fleet this is the premiere pack to download. Did I mention that the paint scheme just look so damn sexy too? Fantastic pack. Keep up the great work. edit : if I could give you another star for continually updating and fixing things, I would but since I cant, just want to say thanks for the update. I played for a few hours today just in the Sheriffs office in these skins and I'm loving it.
  10. Nice!!! Looks like I might have to get some more money in the LSCS budget to repaint the fleet soon. This is coming along great!
  11. First and foremost, Happy Birthday and thanks so much for bringing this mod into my gaming world. It is something that I had wished to see from game developers but to no avail, so thanks for creating it. One big takeaway from the interview: "Have Rockstar ever acknowledged either mod? Be it via a twitter link or newswire Weirdly enough, I don’t think they ever have. I’m fairly certain that there are people at Rockstar and Take Two who are aware of the mod – we’ve certainly seen their corporate internet traffic on our website, but I don’t think they’ve ever mentioned us. With the stories that have come out about some other mods, though, I’m thinking that’s maybe a good thing! " That's very interesting. I wonder if this is a direction (Police angle) they will be taking the GTA series in the future? Perhaps they are looking at what is happening on this site and the mod's popularity to see if this is something they may do in the future. To be quite honest, the GTA series itself has gone stale IMO, with the last good title from a story standpoint being GTA San Andreas. Don't get me wrong, the technical improvements since "San Andreas" are enough to bring me back and get me to play the game, especially with GTA 5 Online. But the single player mode hasn't really changed much in the basic game play since the series inception. You are still, at it's core, a criminal "doing work" and getting paid for doing criminal things. The GTA series needs a reboot and I wonder if they will flip the series in it's side and get players to wear the badge. If they do, I don't think there would be any doubt where their inspiration may have originated...
  12. Just wanted to say Happy Birthday and thank you for this mod and creating this community! I've only been here for the LSPDFR portion as I didn't have GTA IV on PC. But it's been an amazing time in my gaming existence. I've longed for a good police-simulator game forever and none of the major studios have produced anything as near as good as what this community has created. So again thank you to G17 media and the community for bringing this into the gaming world. Happy Birthday and congrats on 7 years of success.
