No, if it's a good model you don't have to model usually, detaching/attaching and material setting is what you need to know for converting.

Thats an Arjent lightbar. There're several cars (mostly LAPD) using this, you could simply change the colors to all red.

The actual LAPD Tahoe has standart CA plates, I added variations of both to the liveries. The spotlight is chrome, like the original one.

I'm always open for suggestions but I don't really think another LAPD CVPI is really needed, even if other versions have bugs. I just released the first Impala version. Two unmarked versions (ELS and non-ELS) will be released probably tomorrow. There will be no unlocked version released for public but modders that have acquired renownmight get one, simply contact me. Both have been released: This one is an update of the V2.4-AC version.

Civilian version is almost done, only need to change some textures. The template is available here, it's apart from license plates like EVI's. Hm, doesn't really take my fancy. I guess no, at the moment not, maybe later. Same, isn't really what I'd like to do. Wraparound pushbar on Tahoe? Well, okay, let's see.

Well, you could mirror the back, then at least that should work. And make sure the texture uses DXT5. -

Well, now I only need to find an oldschool lightbar that looks good on such a modern car. My Impala conversion is almost done, material setups are almost complete and template needs to be mapped, which will be almost like EVI's, I'll use that kind of license plate mapping I always used. And either the car will be released unlocked or unlocked versions will be given out by request. My older Impala versions are probably going to be updated with the new model. By the way, other mod suggestions are still possible.

Non-ELS lights aren't mapped, there needs to be a dummy at the position. It must be called siren_x (x is a number from 1-8; 1,3, and 7 are red and 2,4,6 and 8 blue lights). Some cars (like FBI Buffalo) require the dummies to show in the direction the lights should be visible.

Not meant to be so, happens because of the way I map templates. Most cars have door interiors where you don't notice this.
