  1. I am also having trouble. I discovered that I only have the problem when using the Chrome browser, and it affects all RAR files randomly. It appears that the files are getting truncated before they are fully downloaded.
  2. This callout pack has always been great. But, you definitely need a better translator. The English translations can be....strange
  3. Yep, totally want to see this. In addition to turning over an arrested suspect to EMS, I'd like to see the ability to send non-arrested peds (who are still alive) with paramedics. Perhaps there could be a chance of them refusing treatment as well. And finally, to add some useful functionality: it would be great if your player could be healed whenever they walk up to an ambulance.
  4. Is the sirensetting the single, stand-alone value that affects lights/siren functionality?
  5. If you do, you should make it an extra, so that the car can be completely unmarked as a possibility :) Also try to get those lights on the mirrors move with the doors, that's a detail that a lot of modelers skip over. But it's looking awesome!
  6. The whole point of COPS was to film real officers doing their jobs. Great resource, I agree that you should use it as a big source. Some cops are certainly all "yes sir, no sir, stop sir." Many in the U.S. will definitely be more relaxed when talking. I don't think that some of the lines, such as "...or I'm going to arrest you!" are very realistic. That's aggravating speech; best to try to keep things as calm as possible. The other thing to think about in writing and recording dialogue is putting some character into it like real voice actors would do. Albo's Bank Heist is awesome, but the voice acting is a bit bland. If I were you I'd think about the existing voice acting in GTA V and try to get yours to sound natural in the environment of the game. As natural as can be without animated talking, I guess. Jeff Favignano uses a studio mic with sound presence set really high. It has that ASMR, fireside-chat kinda feel. But when you hear it come through GTA in that one callout pack, it's kinda disturbing because it doesn't match the game. It sounds like someone is talking into your ear in a small room. Perhaps consider recording dialogue while outside. Then it will match the outside environment in which you'd be hearing it in-game. It'll take some practice. It might be super helpful if you post some actual recorded dialogue, once you guys do some, for further advice.
  7. This can happen if you previously edited the RPF file in OpenIV and did something wrong, or forgot to Rebuild the file before running the game.
  8. Would it be possible to add Reversing Lights as another flashing option, with their own configurable speed like the turn signals?
  9. So what exactly did you do to the carvariations file to fix the lights??? Second this. POLICECO can you share an example entry for carvariations.meta for this car? EDIT: I got it to work. I used the lines from the carvariations.meta of another car that uses the same Whelen Justice interior lightbar (I used the Crown Vic from the Added Emergency Vehicles Pack). Surprisingly it works perfectly. Add the following to carvariations.meta in \update\x64\dlcpacks\mpchristmas2\dlc.rpf\common\data and make sure to put the name of the vehicle you're replacing inside <modelname></modelname>. So if you want it to be Police3, put Police3. This can also be used to add it as an entirely new vehicle, after following the instructions here.
An unmarked Ford Taurus is definitely one of the sexiest police vehicles. This is a great job model-wise. Good job providing a Vehicles.meta for reference to fix handling problems. I was wondering if you could also provide an entry for Carvariations.meta so that we can get the lights/sirens to work when using it in another slot or as an add-on vehicle. Push bar also needs to be an extra :)
  10. I haven't experienced that, so I'm not sure what to look into. If I could reproduce the error I could try to figure out how to approach it. Happens if LSPDFR crashes while a radio audio file is playing. It's a quiet static noise with intermittent clicking, you can only really hear it with headphones. But it's mildly infuriating.
  11. This would be great, if that's all you need to do to make it backwards-compatible with RPH 0.34. Because RPH 0.35 and above does not currently support the non-Steam version of the game, and RPH website is currently down as well. So many of us are stuck with 0.34. And I want to get this callout pack back, because it's one of the best. :)
  12. The mod in development for that sort of thing is called ELS (Emergency Lighting System). In GTA IV, it did a pretty good job of mimicking control of the various flash patterns for emergency vehicle lights that you see in real life. The equivalent mod is not finished for GTA V yet.
  13. Hey Albo, with version 5.1.9 I get a huge lag spike whenever an ambient event is created. I tried reverting to the previous version and can confirm that it is the update of this mod. No indication in the RPH log file, but the game itself, actions, and the mouse (even in the pause menu) all slow down and stutter significantly. As soon as the ambient event ends, it's back to normal.
  14. Looks great guys! For as many complaints and requests as everyone has, and the many things that can be improved on, it's still pretty amazing how far the mod and community content has come. It plays really well considering it's a beta release using the alpha release of a mod loader. It's a ton of fun and really well-done all around. As far as the pulling-over issue, it would definitely be nice to re-define that animation so that cars pull a little farther over. And I know that from a code standpoint, it's really complicated to get suspects to pull the vehicle to a location you want, as you can't just instruct them over the PA like in real life. Perhaps a possible solution would be some sort of script where you can mark a specific spot, like a waypoint on the map, and get the blipped vehicle to drive to that spot and stop. Oh also whenz it comming out guise!!??
  15. The one big callout that's really missing is an ambient-event drug deal.
  16. Perhaps the damage amount could be changed without ever using "repair" in the script. I don't know, someone who knows more about the internals of GTA would have to comment.
  17. So there seems to be limited research into the possibility of making "wig-wag" alternating flashing headlights for police vehicles in GTA V. There's this "strobes" mod that makes the headlights flash together. http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/8214-strobes-mod-v/ Since the two headlights seem to be locked together, I wonder if it's possible to cheat the system by writing a script that takes advantage of vehicle damage. Anyone looked into this? Would it be possible to create a script that roughly did the following?: 1. Damage right headlight 2. Turn on headlights 3. Turn off headlights 4. Repair vehicle 5. Damage left headlight 6. Turn on headlights 7. Turn off headlights 8. Repair vehicle 9. Repeat Do we know enough about vehicle damage coding to do this kind of thing?
  18. Been trying to search through the mod exchange for good slicktop cop cars. Preferably ones with liveries, for texture replacements. One of the only ones I can find is this '99 CVPI. But there don't seem to be any with good, new interior lights. The lack of a big lightbar means you'd need more than two little LED lights in front to be visible to traffic. Any models out there? Hmm hyperlinks don't seem to work. http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/9164-99-slicktop-sahp_smpv
  19. Sorry, I've tried searching through various websites and forums but now I'm just confused to hell. Do I need ZModeler 3 to do something like put a default, original GTA V police light bar on a certain car? Or is there some workaround way to do this?
  20. Welcome to Always Online DRM. Once you pay $60.00 for a game, you do not own it. You are temporarily renting it for as long as the company keeps the servers going. Pretty soon you'll see game companies banning people from Single Player modes. We saw what happened to SimCity because of this. But game devs are going to push ahead with using DRM anyway, because they can make more money. Rockstar Games, EA and all the other companies doing this can go get hit by a bus.
  21. It depends on your version of GTA V. I have the Amazon digital download, which has Always Online DRM, meaning the game cannot be played while offline. Doing some quick Google research, it seems that most people say the Steam version, and all other versions of GTA V also have Always Online DRM. A few people say it is possible to downgrade, but there doesn't seem to be any proof of this. Since every GTA update patches the EXE, and the game cannot be played offline, it would seem that it is impossible to downgrade the game, and we have to wait for every single plugin that we use to be updated.
