Stop the Ped has never crashed for me one time. Immersive dispatch yes and DLC vehicles yes. Gameconfigs are needed for DLCs now. But you can't say that we have not had good mods since 2015 because of YOUR bad experiences. I guess that is just your opinion.

Are you able to load into story mode with normal gameplay? Have a good save point and not on a mission for example?

Can you play on regular story mode? Make sure you can do this first. Also make sure you have a good save point on Story mode as well and not on a mission for example. If you are having problems still, you might try validating game files.

Did you install any recent vehicles? You might have your answer right there in your second post.

I agree with Charlie686 here. If you are going to post for help in the forums, you need to give at least some sort of information. Does it crash on start up? If so, does it crash instantly? Does it not launch at all? Does it crash 5 min after game starts? What plugins have you added etc.

Personally I use Patchday24. But you can use patchday20, 22 or 24. Don't use patchday23 as it tends to not want to spawn a few of the police vehicles. I made a tutorial here if you want to watch it. Explains more detail and the video is timestamped for easier viewing. One thing I forgot to mention on the video is to install the ASI Managers through the tools menu at the top of Open IV. BTW: If you don't have ELS installed you can still use part of the video below. Just go to the vehicle install. You don't have to install ELS cars with this tutorial. Just go to later patchdays as described above.

Hopefully you used a mods folder. If so, you might consider just copying over your original resident.rpf into your mods folder and just make sure the sounds are working properly. Might need to choose a new weapon sound pack.

I would disagree with about 99% of what you stated here. DLCs work fine if you have the correct Gameconfig. No good mods since 2015? Really? Have you not heard of Stop the Ped, Ultimate Back up? Simple trainer works perfectly fine as well. I will give you the benefit of the doubt as you appear to be new to this website.
