What I'm definitely seeing here is multiple ways of processing grief. Some try to keep distance from it, others try to remember it. I'm a supporter of both to be honest because for me it depends on the situation. But let's just try to keep both alternatives respected. No need to crack it down, everyone's different.

I really wanted to do something for the 12th anniversary, yet I had no idea. The very least I could do is make one of the hero trucks. It's never wrong to think back of the worst and learn from it. Now, there's not much moral when we speak about 9/11, but thinking for one minute in remembrance is not only a sollace for the family but it means a lot to them as well. WOII is also still being remembered, it's been 68 years already. Do you really think those veterans say; ''Why do we still do this..?'' Not really, I've been to a memorial recently. Now, what if it was your parent/nurser who died because of, as an example, a car accident? Would you say; ''Why do we still think of her?'' even thought the incident would have happened either 12 or 68 years ago? Terrible events never age.

You're missing the point. He's totally right. It is very helpful information for thise who are new to purchasing a ride and expecting the best from the best. As a starter driver you mostly care for looks, size and power but there's a lot more to think of, like I posted above you. He's not being an ass, he's right. In the Netherlands most cops use Volkswagens, but from my internship I learned how heavily these get abused. I'd never buy it if they don't want it anymore, because even when it crossed its limit they still use it, there for; even worse for the vehicle. Listen to him, don't criticize. He's trying to help.

Might also be too expencive! On a side note, people have too big dreams. Especially for the Europeans, cars are expencive as hell to keep and drive. As a starter driver you might just start off with something really small like Harper said. Some big ass retired cop car won't do. Heavy as hell, burns gas like hell, (if your country supports this;) Roadtax will be expencive as hell, insurance, expencive as hell, maintenance lots of times plus expencive as hell. Long story short, car will be a hell! I might start with a Golf I or Golf II. In the future I maybe will go a lil' bigger. =]
