Do you take model requests?

FPS is back in the 20s now. I can't get out of the 40s and the game keeps crashing. Please help!

I reinstalled the game, installed patch 7, LCPDFR, a trainer, and a few other mods, but no car mods or ENBs. I now get 30-55 FPS, average is 39/40. The settings are set at all High (Not very high.) Update: I just ran the game again, and to my surprise, I got FPS in the 70s for a while, outside and driving a car and everything. I went to a shootout call, and called for backup which lowered my FPS into the 20s/30s, and it never went back up even after I drove away from the scene. I played for another 5 minutes and the FPS stayed low. I can play Battlefield 3 on Ultra settings and get nothing below 70 FPS with an average of 90. I know GTA IV is a crappy port, but there are lots of people on YouTube who play on Max Settings with solid FPS while recording. This is driving me crazy.

VSync is off, no AA. I'm going to reinstall the game and see what happens.

I uninstalled my ENB and some of my mods and I'm still getting piss poor performance. The highest FPS I can get is 39. How can I fix this?

I've really tried everything. Can someone who has it working please explain exactly how they did it? This is really frustrating.

I have a truck open in Zmodeler right now. I like the lightbar on the truck and want to copy it over to a CVPI. I only want the lightbar though. How can I do that? Thanks.

Someone told me that Patch 1.0.4.0 has better performance that patch 1.0.7.0. Should I reinstall the game and apply patch 4? Is it worth it? Will it make a difference? Thanks.

I've been a Verizon customer for a long time, and they've been nothing but a PIA. My bill is 9 times out of 10 wrong (in their favor of course) and I have to call up and wait an hour for them to figure it out and send me a gift card (Visa) for the difference (which always gets declined when I try to use it.) They got rid of their unlimited data and replaced it with "Family Share" data which is a fancy way of saying "Less Data." Everything they do is motivated on getting you locked into a contract. This is not to say that AT&T is not the same way though. Microsoft on the other hand is an axis of evil of itself. Just look at the Xbox One. When it was initially announced, they were proud of the DRM and other nonsense they implemented. Also, I do not have a photogenic 50' x 50' Microsoft living room to play the Kinect in. I don't want to have it connected all the time. Look at Windows 8, they took a Windows phone and extended it to all of their other products. Everything is slowly becoming a phone if you haven't noticed. Desktops > Laptops > Tablets > Phones. I also hate this "Cloud" nonsense that every company is using now. I refuse to pay a little "rent" to keep my stuff stored in some data center in North Carolina. I'll buy another Hard Drive if I need to. You can only do that with a Desktop PC though because everything is so darn small. Google also grinds my gears. They are one of the world's largest companies yet they have NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT. Try looking up "Google Technical Support" and I guarantee you will be directed to some forum where other users can answer your question, at no expense to Google. I am also a YouTube partner. That is hell. They just "updated" the stat-tracking system to go from the AdSense to YouTube website. The YouTube stat tracking is far more inaccurate and they know it. They go out of their way to screw you. Today's technology is going downhill. I'm going to play my SEGA Dreamcast.

I did that, it says "Scanning" or "Loading" and then "0/1" for a second (I only put one song in to test it out. I did the shortcut thing, but the same problem happened.

From my research, this is a common issue but nobody can figure out how to fix it. It does identify the files and the scan flashes on the screen for a quick second, but in the game, the radio is all commercials and no music no matter what setting it's on.

Hello, I have had a problem with the Independence FM radio station in GTA IV for a long time. It has never worked, ever, on 2 different computers, with multiple installations of the game. I am pretty sure I did everything correctly, put non DRM MP3's into the User Music folder, and did a complete scan, but all that ever happens is commercials play indefinitely. Microsoft, Verizon Wireless, and Google - 3 most evil companies in America. Also, since Microsoft did a 180 on the Xbox One DRM, they got rid of one feature I was kind of looking forward to, being that you did not always have to have a disc in the drive to play it once it is installed.

I can confirm that taking the d3d9.dll from the older version of the ENB, and adding it to the main folder of GTA IV with the new ENB installed fixes the black screen/darkness problem.

Does this fix the new version of the ENB?

When you say black screen do you mean the game loads up and there is sound and you can move and see the HUD, but the picture is black? That happened to me and I got sick of installing ENBs so I just put it back to regular.

Same here. On a side note, how are you getting 90 FPS? I can barely escape the 40s on Med-High Settings. I just built the PC, installed Windows, installed the Motherboard drivers (From the disc that came with it) Installed my Video Card and WiFi antenna driver, then started installing games and stuff. Is there something more I need to install or tweak that I forgot to do? I have tried reinstalling the game many times. GTA IV is a riddle wrapped inside of an enigma.
